Assured Antacid with Calcium - Might work for you. Might not. I don't suffer from heartburn often. I probably experience it two or three times per year at most. But I often have Tums in my house because I take them for extra calcium. Anyway, one day when I was away from home, I either did something or ate something that did not agree with me. I had very bad heartburn! I asked a friend if she had any Tums and she said she had Assured (which she "assured" me were "the same as Tums". Well I tried Assured and they did not work well for me. It could have been that I was having an extra-bad case of heartburn. Or it could have been that Assured does not work as well. But for whatever reason, I suffered. They did not relieve the heartburn. They had a very similar taste and texture. And the bottle says that they do provide calcium. So for using as a calcium supplement, they do the job. But for heartburn, they did not work for me! Your results may differ, but I'm going back to my "tried and true" product that has never let me down. I'm sure that taking these aren't harmful. They just are missing "something".

There are enough heartburn medications on the market to make your head spin. Some of them require expensive prescriptions, while others depend on careful vigilance in remembering to take one daily. This seems like a lot of work for such a pedestrian problem as heartburn. I want something simple, and something that works fast. Antacid tables can be taken when you need them, in whatever dose is appropriate. Assured works quickly and effectively, conquering all forms of mild heartburn and acid indigestion. They don't taste particularly great, but they don't make you gag either. I have noticed they are a bit "crumbly", causing a loss in effect. Roughly ten percent of the tablet will end up sticking to your teeth instead of traveling to your stomach. Use this product only as directed! I cannot stress that simple concept enough. Antacid tablets are not candy, and contain enough calcium to be used as a supplement. Excessive calcium intake can lead to kidney stones. This might be considered one disadvantage to using antacids, as opposed to a pill. Generic antacid tablets work just as well as the name brands, and Assured is no exception. Careful inspection of the ingredients reveals there is no difference whatsoever. Stay away from pricey pills and "doctor recommended" drugs. Assured works very well, and is far easier on the pocket book. Please note, Assured Antacid tablets will only take care of mild symptoms. Severe acid reflux will require another drug. I am, by no means, advocating abstinence from doctors visits. That being said, if you don't need the doctor, I don't see the need for dropping half your paycheck on pills. Assured will provide all the necessary tools during the aftermath of your binge on local, spicy cuisine.

The Assured Antacid with Calcium is fine for mild indigestion,but I wouldn't recommend it for heartburn or acid reflux. You really should use the products that are made for those conditions. These are a good product and the taste is fin,they don't crumble too much and the price is low enough for people that are on a budget. I would buy these again for indigestion and keep them in the medicine cabinet for when my stomach is a bit upset. I do like the fact that they are gentle and mild enough for almost everybody to use and I have tried many different products. I do think that Assured is a very good and trusted brand for home health products. I think that you can compare this antacid to Tums and some of the other more expensive brands and you will definitely get the same if not better results. I do get occasional digestion and these certainly do work for my needs.

Antacid tablets are not expensive to begin with, so I'm not sure why I ever decided to try this cheap brand. It is awful and does nothing to fight heartburn. They taste terrible, and are so chalky it is tough to even stomach. I would just buy a name brand, and you'll get much better results.

I had a case of burning in chest, and I was full of gas. The spicy foods did not agree with me. When I tried this antacid, what a relief. Works for me. I will keep this product in my medicine cabinet. I trust it, and I love the taste, very fruity tasting. Nice price.

When I was pregnant with my son I had horrible heart burn all the time. I couldn't even drink water without getting it. I tried tums for a while but they really didn't help. I wouldn't even of tried this stuff if it hadn't been what my sister had on hand when I got it particularly bad one day. But it helped loads. I bought a thin of it later that day and it has been my brand of choice since. Two tablets and I was cured. Could even drink the sugary slushees that occupied my every thought while preggo lol. The taste I'm not too fond of(but really, are there any out there that aren't awful?) but other than that no complaints. And hey, extra calcium. Who doesn't love that?

This stuff rocks. It does exactly what it's supposed to. Are you looking for something to get rid of that gross, acidic creeping up your throat type feeling? This stuff works, and it works well. One of the things I like about it is that it works straight away. I guess because it's chewed up, it makes me feel like the second the sodium bicarbonate hits my stomach's contents, I know it's working to relieve my symptoms. Also, it can be taken for sour stomach, according to one web site I read. I haven't been able to vouch for that, but it's still something I'd be willing to try one day. The added bonus is the calcium supplement. Not bad for one chalky but tasty pill. I'm loving it.

ASSURED ANTACID WITH CALCIUM DID NOT RELIEVE THE ACID INDIGESTION I SUFFERED UNLESS I USED 4 AT A TIME.( I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED DOSAGE, THESE ARE MERELY MY EXPERIENCES.)  I SUFFER ON A DAILY BASIS WITH ACID REFLUX. I DO TAKE A PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE TO CONTROL THIS BUT ON OCCASIONS WHEN I HAVE PIZZA, HOMEMADE GRAVIES, FRENCH FRIES, ONION RINGS, GREASY BURGERS, CHILI, CHINESE FOODS, LASAGNA, GARLIC AND HERB BREAD, PEPPERONI  OR OTHER SPICY FOODS, FRIED FISH, FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, UNCOOKED TOMATOES AS WELL AS CERTAIN OTHER FOODS THAN I USUALLY HAVE TO ALSO TAKE AN ANTACID TO CONTROL THE HEARTBURN SYMPTOMS. THESE WERE REGULAR STRENGTH 500 MG CALCIUM CARBONATE. THE ASSORTED FRUIT CHEWABLE TABLETS WITH 66 TO A BOTTLE.  ALTHOUGH THIS PRODUCT MAY BE APPROPRIATE FOR SOMEONE WITH MILD OR OCCASIONAL HEARTBURN I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS MODERATE TO SEVERE HEARTBURN OR INDIGESTION OR TO SOMEONE THAT HAS FREQUENT DIGESTION PROBLEMS.
