I love that it is a whole system. I know which products to apply and in exactly what order to apply them in. The packaging is simple, and very easy to understand. I have combination to oily skin, and was pleasantly surprised that the moisturizer did not make me too oily throughout the day. I have used pro active before and this is supposed to be compared to pro active. I would say that it is very comparable. It is unscented and I actually hardly smell anything. There is no fragrance at all. Effectiveness It cleans my face and neck so well. My skin afterwards does not burn, or even appear red. I have sensitive skin so some times that does happen to me. I really like the effectiveness of the moisturizer. It keeps me well moisturized without making me oily. Ease of Application It is so easy to apply since it gIves you the steps to follow. No thinking required. Immediacy I saw results in a little bit over a week. It worked very quickly compared to other products I have tried.

As a teen I struggled with acne, not severe but moderate. I really hated the fact that every time I got a bad breakout it eventually turned into a scar, which is just as embarrassing as the pimple. This stuff really helped fade my scars and that's why I say it really worked for me. Now as an adult I have no acne scarring. As far as getting rid of acne it did the trick for me too. The only down side is it is irritating to skin, so I wouldn't recommend for sensitive skin! You need to make sure to moisturize well to prevent over drying and USE AS DIRECTED! Effectiveness This system worked great on my moderate acne. It cleared up and prevented pimples while fading acne scars. Ease of Application The downside to this system is there are a lot of steps, which if you are busy can be a bit of a pain. Convenience The many step system is a bit of a pain. Side Effects It can irritate the skin and cause over drying, just make sure to be using the moisturizer as needed. Immediacy It worked rather quickly to clear up pimples for me, and it did fade scars pretty quick in comparison to not using anything!

AcneFree's Severe Acne Treatment System claims to be just as effective if not more so than ProActiv (It's even on the front of their box), but this is certainly not the case. I purchased this set after ineffective results from the regular AcneFree Acne Treatment System. I figured that perhaps my acne was worse than I thought, and that was why it wasn't responding to the AcneFree System. After trying this product for a few months, however, I realized that it was AcneFree that was worse than I thought. Although I do like the cleanser, which is the first step, I very strongly dislike the toner and moisturizer, the second and third steps. The cleanser is a bit on the strong side, so you might want to watch out for side effects or decrease how often you apply it, but it gives decent results and helps slightly decrease acne. The toner doesn't seem to serve a purpose, and the moisturizer was so harsh, it would turn me the color of a tomato. The fourth step, which contained retinol, was likewise far too harsh for my skin. This set doesn't show major improvement to acne; it's quite minimal. It is cheap and widely available, but you don't get much bang for your buck.

This product got rid of the acne, for a short time. This product worked for about the first month and after that it was hit and miss for if it would work or not. The one major downside to this product is that it made my skin very red and irritated after I used steps three and four. Another negative is after the four step (nighttime step) you have to be careful about where you lay your head and what all your face touches because it will end up staining your clothes and if it is a nice shirt it could be potentially ruined. This product would work for people who don't have sensitive skin and who don't have bad acne or only need a product for strong acne for a short amount of time. For those people who don't have bad acne, have sensitive skin, or want a long term acne kit keep looking because this product isn't for you. I would recommend this product only to certain people, it really depends on each individuals skin type.

I have been fighting acne for the past five years. It has been a long and frustrating battle. I finally got to a point where I was willing to start putting more money into it. Regular face washes weren't doing the trick. So maybe the more expensive products are worth investing in. I was very wrong. I bought this product in hopes that it would end my battle and restore my once beautiful skin. It did absolutely nothing. To make things even worse, it dried out my skin and burned when I used it. It smells horrible and it stains. My pillow cases look horrible and I've had to throw out a ton of tshirts that had bleach spots on them because of this product. I would not recommend this product to anyone. This is not the miracle product you are looking for. Side Effects It burned and dried out my skin. The spot treatment bleaches any materials it gets on. Immediacy I didn't see any results. Even after several months of use.

I have used this product while my skin has ranged from pretty bad to pretty clear. I really enjoy it. It is a benzoyl peroxide based acne fighting system. It comes with four components: a face wash, a toner, a morning moisturizer (with benzoyl peroxide), and a nighttime lotion. Overall, this system works very well for me, apart from the fact that it can be kind of drying (which is to be expected with benzoyl peroxide). The morning benzoyl peroxide lotion is supposed to act as a moisturizer, but in the fall and winter it just isn't enough. One of the problems that I have with this system is that there are already so many steps, I don't know when to add something new in. I would like to use an additional moisturizer on top of what's presented here, but I don't want to be applying a million products every day. Also, besides the facewash, from what I've found, these different components are not sold separately. So if you run out of one, you either have to wait until the other parts are finished or you have to buy an entirely new kit to have the full set. Overall if benzoyl peroxide is your go-to and your skin doesn't dry out easily, this may be a good solution for you. Ease of Application There are a lot of steps, but it's worth it. Side Effects Only side effect for me is dryness in the colder months.

I bought this for my teenager daughter to use. I explained very detailed that this needed to be used exactly as it states on the package. I'm pretty sure she followed the directions percisely but her acne remained the same and then eventually got worse. Now a lot of this could be blamed on genetics and her skin type etc. Yet I don't believe this product helped clear up her face at all. She hated using it, she said it smelled funny and overall she hated doing this treatment system as part of her acne treatment. I get that teenagers hate to have acne and she worked really hard to get rid of hers but this product helped none. Plus it cost me a lot of money. I can't remember exactly what I spent on it, but I was trying to help my poor teenager out with her serious acne problem and I feel as though I wasted a good portion of much needed money on something that failed us both. Convenience Bottles were easy to use but that is about it for convenience. It's hard to use a whole acne treatment system and follow all of the steps exactly. Side Effects None really other then acne getting worse. Can't necessarily blame the product for this though.

Wow, the more I think about how many systems I use. The more I realize how much I built up to damage on my face. I actually used the regular acne free system which BURNED MY FACE. Heaven knows why I used the even more severe version. I think I got it from my mom who wanted me to try it as well. Even worse. This amount of concentrated benzoyl peroxide is like rubbing your face with concentrated lemon juice. It hurts and burns and contributed to forever making my face sensitive to benzoyl perodxide. I hate it. All three parts burned my face. I actually even had to wash it off, and it still burned like hell. Please go see a dermatologist if your acne is bad enough to the point where you are trying this strong of a product. You need internal attention to the acne, not external. Wish I had known that 3 years earlier. This stuff sucks and will fry your face. It's also reallly gritty and harsh. NO. Stop destroying your face. It actually made my face more red.

I've been using the AcneFree Severe Treatment System for the past 6 months now and my skin has changed drastically. I have sensitive skin and it was gentle enough to use twice a day. It does cause your skin to go through a "purging" stage where you will break out a little more but it only lasts about a week before it really starts to clear up your skin. No other acne treatment systems have worked this good OR fast for me. I was worried it would dry my skin out and make it flaky since I have had that happen with several other treatments but it leaves my skin soft and feeling really really clean. It comes with an anti-bacterial cleansing wash (medicated with micro-benzoyl peroxide) , corrective toner (oil control), maximum strength repair lotion which is (continuous release, 10% benzoyl peroxide), and oil-free retinol renewal complex lotion (for night time use, spot treatment). I definitely recommend giving it a try!

I love this product! My skin got better after one week of using it but then I lost it because I went to my dads house from my moms and my skin got so bad! I found it and after two weeks my skin is the clearest its been since a long time ! I'm sooo happy but I also am using a 10 percent sulfur bar so it could have been that but I think its mostly the system doing the job. I had moderatto severe acne at its worst and now it's mild! Side Effects I had no side effects.
