I love this monitor. We heard about it from a friend and I was unsure of it at first. When we brought my daughter home from the hospital and she was finally ready to go in her crib I was so scared of SIDS. Knowing that this would alarm me if needed really put me at ease. It is super easy to install. The monitor clarity is great. I can hear the smallest noises. I like that the parent monitors have a light system on them too that go with the noise. The louder the noise the more lights light up. I liked that for when I would work outside and baby would sleep. If I wouldn't hear the monitor I would atleast see the lights. I like that the pad has an adjustment for how sensitive it is. My daughter was a very deep sleeper and her breathing would get pretty light and set the alarm off. Luckily we could move the sensitivity and not have it go off all the time. There is a warning peep before the alarm sounds if there is a 5 second gap in movement and then after 5 more seconds the alarm will sound. Angelcare has great customer service too. We had a parent monitor stop working and I emailed them and they next day aired a new one, no questions asked. Great company. I would highly recommend this monitor.

When we were getting ready to transition our daughter out of our room and into her crib in her own room I did a lot of research into what monitor would work best for our family. Even with her right next to our bed I used to wake up constantly throughout the night to check on her. Like many first time moms SIDS haunted my dreams. I read so many positive reviews of the Angelcare that I decided it was the one for us. From the first night I was able to sleep without worrying constantly about whether she was okay or just needed me. It did take us a night or two to get the setting on the sensor pad just right so that if she scooched into the corner of her crib the alarm wouldn't go off. She does have a very dense mattress so that probably contributed. Once we figured out the right setting we had no issues. My husband and are are both sound sleepers but even he can hear her call us over his own snoring! Angelcare did have a recall recently so anyone who has an older model should contact the company for a free fix that prevents the baby from pulling any of the cords into the crib. Honestly when it is properly installed (with the sensor pad cord wrapped tightly around the lower leg of the crib) I don't know how this would happen but it is always better to be safe!

This is great for newborns and new parents. The motion sensor definitely helped us sleep mroe soundly at night know that our newborn son was okay. I was worried, about SIDS and this really put my mind at ease. Sound/Video Clarity We used this motion monitor in conjunction with our normal baby monitor so we could hear very well. I think this monitor really helped us to understand and hear how our baby was breathing so we could be more at ease then, and it also helps now that he is older. We can tell by his breathing patterns how asleep (or not) he is. Interference We used this and another monitor together and never had interference issues. Durability This monitor was given to us, by a friend who used it for their newborn son. We have used it with both of our sons when they were brand new. It has been dropped down stairs, dropped out of the pack n play and squished in with all of the other baby things when packing away. Very durable. Portability This system is very sleak and super easy to travel with. Great product.

I bought this baby monitor six years ago for my first of three children and it has lasted and worked for all three children. There are some pros and cons of this product. The pros of this product is the durability and distance. I bring this baby monitor on vacation to the beach with us. The baby sleeps in our room and we lock all doors to the house except the door next to the pool and leave the other part of the monitor at the pool and we can always hear baby clear. A nice feature of this monitor is that there are sound options to make sound high or low and the monitor alps lights up when baby cries. This is a nice feature with multiple children because if us have another child in a room sleeping the monitor volume can be turn off but you will still be able to tell if baby wakes up. A few cons is the distance it reaches and interference with other monitors. My son was 4 months old and in the middle of the night I was woken up by a child screaming mommy, needless to say it wasn't my 4 month old it was my neighbors child. I also did not like the monitor part that baby would lay on it had several false alarms with my son, so I disconnected that part and only used the sound part of monitor.

My best friend gave this to me as a shower present. She called ahead and asked if it was okay if she got me something that was different than what I asked for on my registry. Since I was a first time mom, and she'd had a rather difficult time with her first baby, I knew she knew more than me and gladly accepted her advice on products. I have lots to say about this product that are pros and cons. The cons are that if you lift your baby out of bed and forget to turn it off, the alarm will wake the whole house. You also have to remember to turn it back on when you return the baby to bed after a feeding or something. This sounds easy, but times are tough when your baby is getting up and sleepiness is a constant. Forgetfulness is even more constant.That first con, the whole alarm going off if you forget, is still good. You know that puppy is working! The pros are that you get two in one, the usual "I hear my baby crying monitor" AND a monitor that can tell when your baby is making breathing movements. SIDS is a scary thought and parents are scared nowadays. As I said in my title, peace of mind is priceless. Did I still lay my baby on his back, wearing snug pjs and keep all blankets and bedding out of his face? YES, it just helped me feel better. When my eldest was 8 weeks old, he developed RSV. He went downhill fast. We were taken in an ambulance to the hospital and he was better and they sent us home, when they should have kept us. That night was awful, he was breathing upwards of 70 times a minute and I barely slept a wink. Knowing that he laid on that monitor gave me the only sleep I had. He ended up spending 4 days in ICU stepdown after that night, and when we came home, I wouldn't have been able to sleep even a tiny bit if we didn't have this monitor giving me some peace of mind. It isn't a doctor, nurse, or babysitter, but it does help ease some fear.

My baby was born 5 weeks before my sisters so, luckily for her, I got to try out all the most up to date gadgets and gizmos and then recommend the best ones to her. The Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor was right at the top of the list and so immediately after her baby was born, she went right out to buy one. This was the single best purchase I made in those early years. The sound clarity is so good I could consistently hear my baby breathing (even without a cold) and as he got a few weeks older and started to snore, I even had to turn it down slightly. The Angelcare is totally mobile. I took it on vacation, a joint holiday with my sister, and the only problem we encountered was the fact that we needed to make sure which of us was on channel A and which was us was on channel B. The vacation house was multi-level and had 3 floors. The only time I experienced interference was if the unit was placed too close to another electrical appliance in which case I shuffled things around until we were free of interference. The Angelcare worked so effectively I then used it for my second baby two years later.

I am a mother of three beautiful children. And there is nothing is this world I would not give to have discovered this product years ago. I lost my son to S.I.D.s back in 2011. And there is nothing that we could have done. I lost a huge piece of my heart that day. Which is exactly why I wish I would have known about this baby monitor years ago. Because if I would have had this product, things would possibly be different. Which is why now just having my third child, having this monitor is a huge relief. Because though every parent wishes they could be there every second for their child, sometimes you just can't. So whether or not your trying to sleep or just in another room in your house. Having this gives you another sense of security, because you know if something were to happen you could be there. Sound/Video Clarity Everything about this product is great. Durability I've been using this for a while now and it's held up great. I have had no problems with it what so ever. Portability It's great to take with you wherever you need to go in your house. I've even used it outside!

I used this monitor when I moved the baby from our room to his own room. I felt at ease knowing that there was a pad that would sound if he stopped breathing. Sound/Video Clarity I like that there is a volume control. That way if I go outside at night to let the dog out I could turn down the sound and not bother people while still being able to hear. The buttons up front also light up so you can tell the volume of the talking and crying. I liked that there us also a sensor pad and it will go off if there is no movement in about 30 seconds. You can also adjust the sensitivity if needed. I have had some night where he would roll off the pad and it would beep but I would rather have a false positive than miss something. Interference I live in an apartment complex and luckily there are 2 channels to pick from. The first channel picked up a lot of static and I swtiched to the second channel and it was clear with little or no interference. Portability I sometime would have to let my dog out at night and no one else would be home. his unit has a great range to where there was little or no static after I walked down 3 floors and out to the yard to let my dog do her business.

Every parent I have ever met has worried about their child stopping breathing through the night. SO, they wake up just to check to make sure they are breathing. It's such a scary thought and even if you have breathable bumpers and nothing in the crib SIDS is possible for the first year because they baby can't turn themselves over. Whoever invented this product is a genius and whoever doesn't buy it should. The incremental difference in cost between this monitor and one that doesn't monitor breathing is small and it gives you piece of mind. Money can't buy that. It allowed me as a parent to not worry so much and I believe this actually saved my child once! The alarm went off and we ran into room where our baby was face down and unable to turn over. Maybe (?) our child would have self corrected at some point but our child definitely stopped breathing regularly. We were so happy that we had this alarm! I gave it four stars because it did false alarm 2-3 times. The pad itself is not big enough and if our child rolled off the area that the pad was covering it false alarmed. This scared us a lot and every time that happened our baby was in the corner off the mat. Although it was a bit annoying that the pad wasn't bigger to cover a normal crib we knew it was working so that also gave us peace of mind. There's just no reason not to buy this.

As a first time parent, we bought this thinking it was one more layer of protection. We soon learned that as soon as baby #1 was able to move, and subsequently move off the sensor, he constantly set off the monitor - scaring the crap out of us in the process. We never used it again.
