Avalon Organics Vitamin C Soothing Lip Balm is my favorite lip balm. Not only is this lip balm natural but it's not too expensive. I found this lip balm at my local organic food store and fell in love after the first application. This lip balm goes on with a smooth and soothing feel, not that waxy feeling you get with most other lip balms. The scent is delicious with a clean orange scent. The ingredient list is made up of natural ingredients like coco nut oil. You also get a lot of product for the price, more than a regular tube of lip balm. I really like this product for helping heal and smooth my chapped lips. My lips always get chapped when the weather starts to get cold and this lip balm helps keep them smooth and nourished. The product feels like it is nourishing my lips and not just coating them with a wax. I would definitely recommend this lip balm over most other brands out there, natural, inexpensive, and it works.

I've found this to be the only chapstick I've tried that actually works. It fixes the problem and helps prevent it. It smells great and is easy to apply. I've made using it part of my daily routine and can't wait to try other products by this brand. Once you try it you'll keep buying!

This smells great, Moisturizes really well, and actually looks REALLY pretty! It's slightly gritty at first, but about a minute after you apply, it looks glossy and the grit is gone! The color is a yellowy-orange, so it tones your red down a little. I think it's really pretty! The stick is really fat so if you have thin lips it might be a little annoying. But it lasts a LONG time! Best of all, it's all natural! :)

I love this lip balm! I am very concious about what my family and I put on our bodies, so this is a very good product for us! I have been using it for quite some time and really like it! My husband even stole my tube out of my purse, so I had to order another one! The flavor and texture are nice and it does not leave your lips feeling sticky! It keeps your lips moisturized for a long time too! The tube is nice and big and will last you a while. I purchase it online, but wish that they would sell it locally. I think if you are regularly applying something to your body, it should be from a company that cares about what they put in their products and this lip balm fits the bill! It is organic and has lots of great ingredients in it, including vitamin C, which we all definitely need!

The Vitamin C Soothing Lip Balm from Avalon Organics is a must have beauty product for just about everyone, in my opinion. It goes on very smooth, and provides almost instant relief to chapped lips. I live in a very cold and windy area where winter temperatures can dip below negative twenty degrees, with windchills even lower than that. I find that as long as I apply the Avalon Vitamin C balm before I head outside, my lips are better protected against the cold and wind and do not get chapped as easily. I also like to use this before bed. I don't like artificially flavored lip balms so this product is perfect for me. I bought a tube for our son to use, and he also likes it. He says it doesn't smell too "girly" and he likes the orange flavor. The disadvantage is that it is more expensive than other name brands, like Chapstik. To me though, you can't even really compare them. Chapstick is made with synthetic ingredients, whereas Avalon is all natural and organic. You get what you pay for.

I do not recommend this lip balm. While Avalon Organics produces many eco-friendly yet effective products, this Vitamin C Soothing Lip Balm is NOT one of them. The soothing level is nominal. The first few uses may apply fine. However, the slightly oily surface layer wears away to reveal a chunky, waxy textured balm. The poorly blended formula provides little moisture to parched lips. It only leaves a sheen of waxiness and gritty little bits of wax. This balm could be adequate protection from the wind but it will not supply sufficient comfort to chapped skin. The packaging lists some top notch natural ingredients but they perform ineffectively due to the low production quality. The scent is a light pleasant citrus. The taste is reminiscent of typical Vitamin C tablets. The quantity is fantastic, at .25 ounces, akin to a tube of glue stick. However, the actual value is low due to product efficacy. You might get a lot for your money, but really you are not getting much.

My mom knows me well because she bought me this lip balm that is totally me.  It's made with all natural ingredients and has a wonderful citrus scent! **Avalon Organics Vitamin C Soothing Lip Balm **is quite big.  Traditional lips balms are 0.15 ounces, and this one is 0.25 ounces, so it's almost twice as big!  It is not tested on animals, 100% natural, paraben-free and contains antioxidants like Vitamin C & E that are good for your lips. The scent of this lip balm does not disappoint.  It has a delicious orange scent that is refreshing and crisp.  The texture of this lip balm is very soothing.  It's slightly creamy - in a good way.  It glides right on and feels smooth and moisturizing.  It's not waxy at all.  The large size of the tube does take a little getting used to, but it doesn't bother me.  After using for about a month, the smooth top of the lip balm got bumps on it.  I'm not sure if the bumps are ingredients that didn't mix well enough or what, but this happened to BOTH of my lip balms. Some of the great ingredients in **Avalon Organics Vitamin C Soothing Lip Balm **are: coconut oil, castor seed oil, jojoba oil, aloe leaf extract, apricot kernel oil and many more. If you are interested in all natural beauty care products, and like lip balms, this is a winner, but the smooth texture of the top of the lip balm doesn't last forever!

Let me first tell you that Avalon Organics is one of my favorite "all natural" companies.  My local Fred Meyer store sells quite a few of the Avalon Organics products, and I have had a tube of their Vitamin C Soothing Lip Balm around my home for months. I purchased this because it was on sale, and the tube is quite large so it was a good value.  The tube is larger than the standard tube of lip balm, it measures 1/2" longer and almost 1/4" wider in diameter.  The tube has an orange colored lid, and the balm itself is a pale yellow color. When I read the label, I knew this was the kind of product that I needed.  Avalon Organics claims that this product soothes and nourishes the skin, and that it is rich in antioxidants.  It also claims that is a good defense against premature aging from sun exposure.   The ingredients are truly natural, and some of the oils are organic.  It has a nice feel on the lips, and the balm glides on smoothly and smells great.  When I lick my lips I get a very faint taste of orange, which is really nice.  I usually prefer lip balms that are not flavored, but this one is very mild and quite pleasant.  It keeps my lips moisturized, and even protects them against wind burn on a blustery day. Now for the bad news.  I don't like writing negative reviews, but there are a few things about this product that I do not care for, and that is basically why I have not used it very often.  The tube is designed a bit different, the balm does not roll up from the bottom.  The turning mechanism is at the very top of the tube, and it rolls up very slowly.  I could live with that, but after it is rolled up it will not roll back down. The second aspect of this balm that I don't care for is the fact that it is a little soft.  When I apply it to my lips the balm doesn't remain intact, the top flattens and spills outward.  I have to mold it back into shape with the edges of my fingers, and I don't like touching my lip balms, even with clean hands. So there you have it.  I love the texture on my lips.  I love the wonderful, healing ingredients.  I love the wonderful orange scent.  If this was packaged differently I would have very little to complain about, but I do not like the larger tube and I don't like the issues I have with the balm not rolling back into the tube.
