...and I ended up loving it! It has a great taste I assume since my dogs loved it from the first bite. It has decent sized kibbles that are easy for my old dog to chew. After using this food, I have noticed that my dogs have very soft, smooth, silky coats! In a short month I have already noticed the difference. The taste was no problem as both my dogs loved it from day one. It has kept them full all day long and I have not seen them beg since I started this food. Also, I like the packaging because it is easy to spot which kind you need according to the type of dog you have. I also like that they have different kinds tailored to the age and stage of life your pet is in at the moment. There really is not a good selection of different flavors, but that does not matter so much as the fact that I know there are quality ingredients in the food because my dogs like the taste and are not picky when it comes to eating. I would definitely recommend this food to dog owners everywhere.

I have been feeding my medium-sized Chihuahua varieties of Avoderm for over nine years straight. When she was a puppy I experimented with a few different brands but ultimately chose Avoderm for a few distinct reasons: value, quality, and taste. Avoderm is priced competitively with the other major corporate brands and I never need to spend very much to feed my smaller dog. The better ingredients put me at ease by knowing that I'm giving my dog something good for her. And lastly, I know she loves the taste by the way she practically inhales each meal. Quality of Ingredients Avoderm is considered to be a premium dog food with higher quality meat, grains, and nutrients than most other brands on the market. But one of the most unique and beneficial aspects of Avoderm is the avocado oil in the ingredients that is supposed to translate into a healthy skin and coat. I can attest to this, as my dog's coat is indeed healthy and absolutely beautiful. Some of this should be attributed to Avoderm. Flavor Selection Avoderm offers a good selection of foods for the different seasons of your dog's life. Over the years my dog has made the seamless transition from the Small Breed Chicken Meal and Brown Rice formula to the Weight Control food, and now the Senior type. There are also large dog, puppy, grain free, and baked varieties available.

One of the best dog foods you can find at regular pet stores, and it is priced more affordably than many. Would recommend. We have two large dogs and they both have enjoyed this brand of dog food in the past. It is also sold at most pet stores, so it is very convenient to purchase. Quality of Ingredients High quality ingredients. One of our dogs has a very sensitive stomach, and Avoderm is one of the very few dog foods that does not cause her problems. We have since switched to Kirkland Signature Lamb and Rice dry dog food, but that is only due to price (with comparable ingredients), not due to a dissatisfaction with the Avoderm dog food. Flavor Selection Not many different flavors, but that is less important to me than the quality of the ingredients. The quality of the ingredients is definitely on the higher end for options in large pet stores. Both of our dogs enjoy the food, so the flavor must be good (they are not food motivated and will not eat many treats).

My dog had very itchy skin and constantly scratched himself until he got tiny cuts all over. The vet suggested a long term solution and recommended this dog food. I got all three flavors and it changed my dog's life! He stopped itching after 2 weeks of eating. Most importantly, he really enjoys the food, I am guessing it tastes great. It has high protein, and does not have wheat or corn, which my dog has problems digesting. This is a healthy and tasty brand of dog food!

At my dogs annual vet visit, the vet and I decided that Chloe needed to lose 10% of her body weight. She was a 3 year old bichon that weighed 32 pounds. I went to several pet stores to find an optimal weight loss food for her. I did not want corn ,wheat or artificial colors in her food. I checked labels on numerous varieties and brands of dog food. Avo Derm is a quality food with vitamins, no artificial colors or flavors, wheat and corn. I first noticed that Chloe loved the flavor, seconf her stool was reduced and she started losing weight. I have had her on Avo Derm weight control for six months. She has now lost 6 pounds which is 20% of her body weight. She is more active now and is a very healthy little girl. Her vet is very happy with the results and so am I. I will continue to feed her Avo Derm to maintain her new healthy weight. I believe this is the best food I could have given to her. I was battling with my dog having a stinky smell, bad breathe and biting. He would get a bath every 5 to 7 days....It was that or be sent outside and he is definantly an inside dog barely wanting to go outside and only to do his business....I started researching on line....and found that by changing his diet it would help....went to my local feed store...they suggested that I try Avoderm "Salmon meal and potato formula". Someone there also suggested that I visit my local natural food store and get Omega-3 pet oil drops and brewers yeast to mix with in with the dry dog food. They didn't have the brewers yeast but did have yeast with garlic powder. By adding the oil and powder to the Avoderm and slivers of advocado (great for dogs coat and they love it).... I'd say within 3 wks my dogs offensive smell went away along with his bad breathe. YAY! There's something that works...:)

I've used Avoderm for both my labrador retrievers for the past two years. My younger dog has a wildly sensitive stomach -- anything other than good dog food causes him to vomit - -but he digests Avoderm very well. For my 12 year old lab, Avoderm has enabled her to look far younger than her years. She is very active and nimble, albeit with a very white face! I started my puppy off with purina puppy chow and she always had explosive diareah. I switched to avoderm puppy and now have her on avoderm adult lamb and I can give her treats without worrying about her getting sick her poops are always solid, dark, and healthy and there are fewer poops. I started her on avoderm as a puppy before I ever had to worry about her shedding (she is a siberian husky). Others with husky's always compliment her coat and ask how often I brush her becuase their huskies always have loose fur and look a little messy. she hardly shed, her fur is much softer than others of her breed, she is almost never itchy, and her sensitive stomach is no longer an issue. I highly recommend avoderm. It is even the cheapest all natural food I have found.

This dog food comes in various flavors, but the all have added avocado for omega 3 and 6.  This addition helps the dogs coat shine.  I mean my 8 month old Boder collie mix is shining and my 2 year old white lab is even brighter.  They love the food, and my lab is REALLY picky.
