BabyHawk Rocks!

The BabyHawk Mei Tai Baby Carrier is just the best product for parents of little ones. This tie-on carrier is functional, easily adjustable, versatile and oh-so-fashionable. You can choose the standard size or ToddlerHawk size that adjust for bigger babies as they grow. The BabyHawk brand is top quality and each wrap carrier is fully customizable. When you order you are given the choice of not only size, but also fabric colors (both strap and design, and accessories like a pouch/pocket for stashing a diapers, wipes, etc. where the pattern fabric shows on the carrier, and even attachment straps for baby toys or keys. Our family has used these BabyHawk carriers for years and have been so pleased with their ease of use and adjustability. Being able to wear the baby facing in or out, on your hip, on your front or on your back is just awesome - great options for various occasions. You just decide what configuration works best for you at the moment and you're all set. Being hands-free while the baby is safely snuggled is such a wonderful luxury!

Versitile and cute baby carrier!

I purchased the BabyHawk when I was expecting my second child and after using it I wish I had had it for my first. I was so easy to put on and very customizable. It was simple to use and I was able to get a good fit quickly and efficiently by myself (a must when dealing with an infant and other children). I went on to use it with my third and its still going strong after more than 5 years of use and 2 children. I love that you can use it for a front or back carry and it works from infancy up through the toddler years. My husband also loves that its reversible (I use it with the flowery side facing out and he uses it with the solid color facing out). Its great that we can both wear the same carrier without any adjustments, just tie it on and go! When my kids were infants I wore them around the house often so I could get things done or help my other children when they were fussy and needing to be held. Now that they are older I keep it in my car or diaper bag (it folds up nice and small for storage) for outings where we don't want to bring the stroller. Its been invaluable for our family!

Worth EVERY penny!

Every time we use this product ( which is almost all the time!), I say it's worth every penny! I can carry my daughter and not kill my arms or back! You know those days where all they want to be is held? I see so many parents holding their child through a mall or park and I've been there. This product makes this so much easier! My 21 lb daughter feels so light in this and I can carry her for hours! My husband even loves to carry her in this. Hands free and you can carry them too!Well worth every penny... although I would love to own more for their gorgrous fabrics!

My Babyhawk keeps my hands free and my head sane!

I purchased my babyhawk through www.alongfortheride.com and received excellent customer service with getting a customized babyhawk (also available from www.babyhawk.com) Babyhawk is an awesome carrier called a mei tai, which is a traditional chinese baby carrier that uses a waist strap and shoulder straps along with a panel of fabric to hold your baby. They are much more comfortable and longer-useage than a carrier like a snugli or bjorn because of where the straps distribute your child's weight and how they are made. I wear my 7 month old son, who is over 20 pounds daily around my home while doing chores and while out shopping and he feels almost weightless (not so true when I'm trying to juggle him in my arms!). This works great for the times of day when he's fussy and wants held but I'm trying to finish up a task around the house or do something with my older children (ages 4 and 2). He often falls asleep in it! I have also carried my 2 year old in my mei tai while out when she can't keep up or walk any longer (like trick or treating recently).Features of the babyhawk that I love: The headrest which helps support a younger baby's head when they are sleeping but also easily folded down for an older child or for baby to see out easier. The one I selected is reversible-- I have a fun hula girl print on one side, and a pretty floral kimono print on the other side so I can have a dressier side. You can also order one side plain so that it's just a solid color if dad doesn't like any of the prints and wants to carry baby too (I tell you there's nothing sexier than a husband wearing a baby while cooking dinner!) I ordered extra long straps so both my husband and I can do a lexie twist (a particular style of tying the straps) easily. I have the chocolate twill which is buttery soft-- no rough canvas feel to this carrier at all! It folds down reasonably compact for in a diaper bag or stuffed under a seat while out. The straps also work well for an impromptu seatbelt on a highchair at a restaurant, cushioning behind a baby's head, the panel works great as an extra blanket, sunshade, and more!Only con.... I'm not rich so I can't afford an entire wardrobe of babyhawks to match everything I have. ;o)

One of my favorite baby carriers

After i had problems with the moby i started looking for a different carrier to use. I came across the babyhawk. at first i was hesitant because it was another wrap that needed to be tied and i was not good at that with the moby. However i went ahead and got it anyways and i'm GLAD i did. I love this carrier!! It was so simple to put it on with my son and just tie it around myself and go. It does get a little hot wearing him in the summer in it but i figure that would happen in most carriers. My son is 20lbs now and i still love to wear him and he has always loved to be in the babyhawk as well. I also loved that i was able to pick two different designs so i can just turn it around and have a whole different look to wear. Its so great that my husband even wore him while we were on vacation! I never thought I would see him baby wearing but he loved it!

comfy for mommy and baby

After attempting a hotsling, I wanted to try a mei tai style carrier. I loved this carrier more for it's looks than anything but it was a good carrier. The only think I disliked was that my baby's head was not supported as much as I wanted it to be. I typically carried mine in the grocery store and they'd sleep. I'd find myself holding his head because there was nothing there. Or I'd slouch him down a little more so he'd be deeper in the carrier. We never did find a happy medium so I then made sure we shopped while he was awake. I hear the toddlerhawk has a larger head support? Once he could sit in the shopping cart then we'd do that instead. I would have used this more if this was not an issue.

Babyhawk is the comfiest carrier around

I was a little hesitant at first to spend money on yet another baby carrier.  I had a bjorn and a hotsling and they were both ok, but they hurt my shoulders and/or back.  But I took a chance and I'm glad I did.  I was able to custom order a cute carrier that is on baby #2 now and still going strong.  It's machine washable and still looks like new when I pull it out of the dryer. I ordered one with a pocket and I'm glad I did.  It's nice to put pacifiers, keys, receipts, or whatever else in there without fumbling with my purse.  I didn't order the toddler modification and now I wish I had.  I'm trying to figure out how to modify it myself so my baby has more head support as she grows taller and falls asleep, which she always does. I don't know if the length of straps is customizable, but the only drawback I have is an extra 2-3 feet of straps after it's tied on.  I'm a size 6 so I guess they want it to fit everyone, but it's hard to figure out what to do with all that extra strap. I would definitely recommend this carrier to anyone who's looking for a comfortable way to carry their baby around hands-free.  Everyone is so curious when they see it and wonder where I got such a great carrier.

A must-have carrier!

I have always been interested in baby-wearing, but my knowledge of baby-wearing items was very limited when my 3 older children were born.  I did have baby carriers with them, but they were purchased at big box stores and were very limited in their use. Fast-forward to 2008 when my youngest son was born.  I thought I wanted a ring sling (a kind of carrier), because that is what I had seen some fellow moms use.  And I thought I would love it!  ...but I didn't.  I just couldn't get the hang of it, and it wasn't too comfy.  So I looked into a mei tai.   Babyhawk is a brand that makes mei tais.  You can get them at many places, mostly on the internet.  I was able to buy mine at a site called www.abbyslane.com and they had free shipping. My Babyhawk is beautiful orange color with a sunburst pattern.  Not at all girly, and not too boyish either.  Just perfect for me, really.  And there are so many colors and patterns to choose from.  Babyhawk.com even lets you customize a carrier which is really cool.  You can choose the color and the pattern, the length of your straps, the padding, etc.  And you could even send them fabric you have and they will use it. The Babyhawk is very easy to use.  It comes with instructions, and different ways to tie it.  The instructions are very helpful, there are pictures included. There are also various videos on the web that are great too. The Babyhawk is very comfortable...for both the baby and the person wearing the baby.  It is also compact.  It is made of fabric, so you can easily fold it up to a small size.  I keep mine with me at most times, usually right in the car! The baby is very secure.  The straps go all around them so they are snug and safe. The wearer is very comfy.  The straps can be moved and adjusted for optimal fit. It didn't take me long to get the hang of my Babyhawk and now I use it often....on walks, at grocery store, at the mall...even around the house.  It is very soothing for my baby to be against me and hear my heartbeat.  It usually puts him to sleep. Baby wearing is great for babies.  It keeps them close to you.  When they are very new, baby wearing is great for skin-to-skin contact.  You can breastfeed while wearing a baby.  They hear your heartbeat, which they are familiar with.  They smell your scent, with soothes them.  Babywear is very beneficial. I highty recommend a Babyhawk mei tai carrier.  They can be used by men and women, of any size.  My 12 year old daughter has even worn my son in it!

BabyHawks are fun, funky, and comfortable.

I love BabyHawks. They have a variety of fun colors, prints, and combinations. You can choose your own design from what they have instock, or you can send in your own fabric for a completely custom baby carrier. They are comfortable! It's essentially like wearing a backpack. OK, so it's a little harder than putting on a backpack. But, once you get past the idea of knots (it really is no big deal), you'll find that a Babyhawk is infinately adjustable and much more comfortable than a carrier with buckles. Yes, the straps are long, but it's not really hard. There are videos on the website, and detailed instructions to study. Once I tried it, I was sold. I didn't want any more buckle carriers. I found that baby carriers that can be tied are just as secure, and more comfortable for me to wear. Also, when you order one from the Babyhawk website, you will get some babyhawk business cards. You will quickly find that when you wear it out, mamas will come up to you and ask about it. How wonderful to have cards to hand out!

My daughter and I LOVE my Baby Hawk Mei Tai!! I have two girls, ages 2 and 7 months. I bought the baby hawk when my youngest was 2 months old, and we use it almost daily. The carrier has great head support, and I never worry about her falling out. I love that there aren't any snaps or buckles to get pinch her skin. My daughter gets excited every time she sees me start putting it on. I tried three other baby carriers with my oldest daughter, and this one is far better than any of them. It's super comfortable (even though she's over 20 lbs already), durable, machine washable, and stylish. It's easy to put on and take off too. There was a two week period where the baby was too large for the froggie position and too small to let her legs hang out, but that's the only negative point I've encountered. I put the baby in the Baby Hawk whenever I go grocery shopping, chase my 2 year old around the park, go shopping at the mall, or just take a walk. It's great!!
