My husband loves to have breakfast sandwiches every day, his grandpa made them for him growing up and they have become part of the normal routine. I got a job and I had to leave for work much earlier than him and it made it really hard for him to have his sandwiches anymore. I saw this online and decided to buy it for him and surprise him so he could still make them and enjoy them. This appliance is really big, it is a lot larger than I thought it was going to be, so counter space could be a problem in a small house. The toaster works great just like most toasters, it has knobs so you can select how dark or light you want your toast. You need to be careful with the egg cooker though, it does get kind of hot (it is cooking eggs), so it is easy to grab it and get burned a bit. Cleaning it up is relatively easy as long as you do it right away, it just wipes off. I like to spray the egg area with cooking spray before we put eggs on it, this makes it even easier to clean later and lets everything wipe away really fast. It is a fun little machine and even my kids like to use it to make themselves a breakfast sandwich in the morning. It works really fast and cooks everything for you, you can even put some meat on the side where you would put an egg and heat it up fast.

Since I love eating egg sandwiches I figured buying the Back to Basics Egg 'N' Muffin 4-Slice Toaster would be a great investment. The toaster portion of this machine is excellent. It doesn't matter if I'm toasting bread, muffins, and or bagels I always get the desired shade of bread according to my preferred settings. I have never used a toaster that is extremely accurate at toasting bread to my liking every single time. The egg side of this machine does a good job of making smooth perfectly intact poached egg whites. The only time my eggs are not perfect is when I'm rushing to place them on the toasted muffins before the bread gets too cold. Once I figured out that I must start the toasting process after the eggs are almost done cooking I have been making perfect sandwiches. My only issue with the Back To Basics Egg 'N' Muffin Toaster is that the clean up process is time consuming. I find myself spending more time cleaning this toaster than actually cooking with it. It's not difficult to clean, but I can't put it off for too long because egg residue starts to smell bad after a couple of hours.

At first, I thought that the Back to Basics Egg 'N' Muffin Toaster was a bogus idea and actually thought it was silly. What do you know, I got it as a gag gift because my friends knew I thought this idea was stupid. Fast forward to today and I love this Egg 'N' Muffin toaster because it saves me so much time. In the morning, I can toast up my english muffins and poach my eggs at the same time. Because the are steamed/poached, they are not rubbery at all. The eggs are tender and perfectly cooked and go well with the perfectly toasted english muffins! I usually just make myself a little sandwich in the morning and add a little cheese or ham and it's perfect; it tastes like the kind you get at fast food restaurants. There are 4 slots so you can make 2 sandwiches at a time. The Egg 'N' Muffin Toaster is great if you have kids and don't want them to turn on the stove to make eggs. They can just use the toaster and it will be less of a safety hazard.

I got this for my husband when our old toaster stopped working. It's a fun idea and does cook eggs just fine but it doesn't toast well (only one side of the bread) and takes up a lot of space on the counter.

I love this toaster! My son is a very picky eater and he only eats eggs if I scramble them in the microwave. But he loves the eggs from this toaster. And I love that the toaster slots are actually wide enough for bagels. every other toaster I've had made it more difficult to make bagels. The bagels would get stuck and I'd have to get a fork to try to pull them out. It toasts bread, english muffins, and bagels perfectly all the while cooking away on your eggs. If it made bacon, too, it'd be perfection on my kitchen counter! LOL

I was looking online for a good quality toaster and luckily stumbled across this gem! I was only hoping for something that would produce nice toast, but after being wooed by the great features of this toaster I got much more that I expected! I hate white appliances, so I was very happy to see it was black. As far as initial appearances go, it looks awesome. People come into my kitchen and immediately focus on it, asking what it does and where I got it. My boyfriend and I aren't exactly morning people and have long days at work, so we want to have a good breakfast before we leave the house. With this toaster, all I have to do is toss in some toast, eggs, and pre-cooked ham, and while I get ready it makes a sandwich that is better than fast food places. It's quick and easy to use, just make sure you briefly look at the manual before you say you can't use it. I read a review before I bought it that complained about it being complicated, but they probably just couldn't read-it's really simple! I also liked how wide the slots are; no stuck bagels for me! Warning, though-since it is an awesome toaster that does much more than toast, it is a little bigger than an ordinary toaster. Just make sure you look at the dimensions first. It may be on the big side, but it's so great that it's worth it!
