The Bath & Body Works Caramel Apple Antibacterial Hand Soap smells absolutely amazing; just like caramel apple. However, I was disappointed to find out that this hand soap didn't have shea butter and therefore, my hands weren't as soft and smooth. Also, I felt that there wasn't much moisture in the hand soap and there weren't much bubbles and foam as I would have liked.

I was so disappointed in this hand soap! I bought it before my Halloween party, thinking it would be a fun little added touch for my guests and family to enjoy. I was so wrong. Bath & Body Works no longer includes shea butter in the formula for this soap, so the moisturizing properties that were originally why I bought and loved these soaps are no longer there! My hands were really dried out after a couple of days of using this soap. In addition, the scent was really not that pleasant. It was far too sickly-sweet for my taste. I thought it smelled more like syrup than a caramel apple. I was not at all a fan of this soap and I definitely will never use it again! Effectiveness It kept my hands plenty clean, but the problem was in how much it dried them out in the process. It just was not worth the trouble! Scent Yuck. It smelled terrible and left a sugary odor lingering behind after every use. I really disliked it.

This soap used to have shea butter in it. They went and changed the formula. They took out the shea butter and now my hands don't feel soft like they did before when I would use this soap. Very disappointed that they changed the formula!

I use to love Bath & Body Works creamy antibacterial hand soaps, but sense they recently changed the formula, I no longer like them at all!  The carmal Apple scent is very nice, but that is all!  They do not moisturize your hands like they use to.  They no longer contain Shea Butter. Bring back the old formula!

My future mother-in-law and I were shopping a few weeks ago and popped into Bath & Body works just to kill some time. I used to work at B&BW and rarely ever buy anything from there anymore because I still have so much stockpiled from when I had an employee discount. So I wasn't expecting to make a purchase, but when we came across the fall scents in the antibacterial soap section, I instantly fell in love with the caramel apple scent. Others who have attempted to bottle this scent have typically failed by making it either too sugary or too apple-scented. B&BW hit the nail right on the head with this one though... the two scents work together complimentarily rather than competing with each other or overpowering each other. The scent comes in other lines as well, in the home fragrance section in candles and room sprays, as well as wallflowers. It's a shame that it's a seasonal scent and most stores don't have it anymore, or I would have gone back and bought one of everything in the scent. I hope they bring it back for many autumns to come!
