Making coffee is easy, and it is fun using a pot from Italy after visiting there. The coffee is always good, rich and it fills the house with a wonderful smell. It just seems to be a better cup of coffee than from the automated coffee pots. I've had this pot for three years now and it is working as well as when I bought it. It is very durable.

I absolutely adore using the Bialetti Moka Express stovetop espresso maker. The first thing that I liked about this particular gadget is the fact that it requires no electricity. It works on stove tops. Our family likes to go camping and this espresso maker comes in handy. I will say there are a few drawbacks to having a stovetop espresso maker versus an electrical one. First the espresso is not as strong on the stovetop than it is with the electrical version. I do like that this particular espresso maker is fast. In order to get the best result you want to make sure that your water is nice and hot before you add the coffee grounds. Also use a high quality coffee. Brew Performance Great brew performance. It's not as fast as an electrical espresso maker but it does result in a quality shot of espresso. Ease of Cleaning This appliance is easy to clean and easy to maintain. I have had no problems. Ease of Use Very easy to use. Design The design is sleek. I also love that it's small so I can store it in my cabinets.

I own one other nice espresso machine, but we received this for our Christmas gift from my in-laws last year and I really love it. It's a nice machine that doesn't have a lot of flash to it. We mainly use it when we don't want the headache of cleaning up the bigger machine, and don't want as much espresso. It's really nice to use when your in a hurry and need to do cleanup in a hurry. That's the best part to this machine, besides making an awesome cup of espresso. Brew Performance It doesn't take very long to make a great cup of espresso, which is nice to use in the morning when you're in a rush. It brews a nice cup of espresso, just as good if not better than the electric espresso machines. I love the fact that I can brew espresso to my taste and strength right on the stove top with this machine. I recommend it to anyone that would like a great cup of coffee or espresso. Ease of Cleaning I usually clean the Bialetti Moka pot as soon as the last of the espresso or coffee is gone. It's easy to hand wash, and if you have a sprayer on your kitchen sink it will make clean up a snap. I just add soap to the pot, wipe it inside and out then spray it out and let it hair dry. I love the fact it is made out of stainless steel because it wears well and looks great on top of the stove. Ease of Use This is easier to use than a even a coffee maker, as it goes directly on use stovetop. You add water to the bottom, and coffee grounds goes up top. Then, put it on the top of the stove and boil it to what strength you like. It's as easy as that. Design It's a nice stainless steel simple design and looks really nice and clean on top of the stove. Durability We've have had our Bialetti Moka since December. Although we don't use it but once a week, since it isn't an electric espresso machine it should last at least ten to twenty years. When our main espresso machine finally gives out, which I can see happening, we will at least have this one for years to come.

I have had the Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker in my family for over ten years now. It's a great and simple way to make an espresso without all the other hassle that new modern machines have. I love having to not worry about plugging in a machine and I can just make it right on my stovetop. It's very easy to use and makes a delicious espresso. It's also inexpensive and pays for itself because it lasts forever. If you love coffee and espresso you should have one of these in your house. Brew Performance This makes a nice hot rich brew of coffee. It usually makes a strong cup of coffee. Ease of Cleaning I just rinse it out with warm water after I dump out the used coffee grounds. Ease of Use All you have to do is add water on the bottom half, and then coffee grounds on the top. Then put it on your stovetop and boil it, and when you boil it the water boils up into the coffee grounds. That's it! Design I like the design. It's a simple silver stainless steel outside with a nice black handle. This is a classic design that has been around for many years. It's sleek and elegant looking. Durability It's made of durable stainless steel, and if you buy one of these it will last you for years and years. I've had one of these in my family for over ten years, and the same one is still working and not damaged either.

I bought this stovetop espresso maker (6 cup) earlier this year and I love it. My husband is Cuban and he loves his Cuban espresso, so I bought it to make for him. I use the Pilot espresso ground coffee, and this espresso maker makes delicious espresso. The instructions are very easy to understand, and it is very easy to use as well. I put three tablespoons of espresso and one and a half tablespoons of raw sugar (as the instructions say not to use white sugar). I have put the stove on low, per the instructions, to brew the espresso, but be aware that it will take at least an hour or longer to brew. I usually start mine on low, but after about twenty minutes, I turn the temperature up to medium so it will brew quicker. It still will take around forty minutes. So if you are wanting quick coffee, this is not the route to go. It does make delicious espresso though. We love our espresso maker and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Brew Performance It makes delicious espresso/coffee, but it does take time to brew. Don't expect to have it ready in 10- 20 minutes, it does take at least 40 minutes are longer, unless you turn the temperature up high (which is not recommended in the instruction manual). Ease of Cleaning It is very easy to clean. Make sure you only use a water, no soap, to clean it. Ease of Use It is very easy to use.

This is an absolutely excellent machine for making delicious, hot espressos. It was pretty inexpensive, especially for such a terrific, high-quality product. It looks visually appealing with the beautiful silver steel, and the design makes it very easy to figure out how to operate this espresso maker. It is very easy to use this machine, and it takes only a few minutes for it to produce a beautiful cup of hot espresso, which tastes absolutely delicious. This really is a worthy investment if you are like me, somebody who needs his daily cup of coffee every morning. It only takes a matter of minutes from start to finish to produce a nice cup of espresso, once you have become accustomed to using the machine (which takes only a day or two). My grandmother is from Italy, and she only uses this coffeepot to make her daily espresso coffee. We happen to have the same taste in coffee (strong, black a little raw sugar) and after watching me enjoy having this coffee with her, she purchased me a pot of my own to make the coffee at home. It's a small steel pitcher that breaks down into four pieces. The top and bottom separate and you put the water in the base. The put your ground espresso in the basket and secure it all together. I always add some raw sugar into the top reserve area so it can dissolve into the hot coffee as it brews. Simply heat it (gently) over a burner for about 15 minutes. Sure, it's a little longer than 'new fangled' machines but the end result is just as good if not better, it's much more economical and certainly a lot more fun to have that bit of old school style in your kitchen. It's sturdy and cleans easily, and is small and easy to store. I love this pot.

I just want to say that I personally have had long enough to properly judge this type of coffee maker considering that I have grown up around it. It is very popular in many hispanic households, used for making "Cuban coffee," pretty similar to espresso. When my fiancé and I started doing kitchen shopping, this was one of the first items that I required in the cart. I can say that these coffee makers offer amazing brew performance, making rich and delicious coffee, without having much chance of leaving grounds behind. These stovetop coffee makers do take a bit longer to brew, but I personally think that it is the only drawback about them. On top of their performance, these types of coffee makers are not difficult to clean and are very sturdy, and this specific Bialetti one that I purchased is a perfect size for making a sufficient amount of espresso as well as fitting in a suitcase when you travel. Overall, I have to give this coffee maker a ten out of ten and recommend that just about anyone purchase one, and of other brands, I have found the Bialetti ones to be sturdier and more convenient sizes/

The machine brews the water hot enough to perfect and create a rich shot of espresso. It is very easy to use. Brew Performance The Bialetti stovetop espresso maker produces first rate espresso in a short period of time. The key is getting the water hot enough before it meets the coffee grounds to steep. Most expensive machines do not focus enough on water temperature. I would definitely recommend this if you want a perfect shot of espresso. Ease of Cleaning This stovetop machine is very easy to clean. Ease of Use The stovetop espresso machines could not be easier to use, add water below, and grounds on top. Put on heating element and the water boils up into the grounds. Simply easy and delicious. Design The design is simple, in fact these machines have looked the same for years. Why change something that works? Durability I have gone through quite a few of these machines- but that is because I wear them into the ground. I use the machine daily and sometimes multiple times a day. I guess the fact that I keep purchasing the same unit speaks more than the amount of these I have owned.

My husband and I received a medium sized Moka Express for our wedding. We use it about once a week and have enjoyed it greatly. It's a great conversation starter with guests and is easy to use. It seems to make a more bitter coffee, which is annoying at times. But that's just the way it does it. It stores easily and doesn't take up counter space like typically coffee makers. I can easily make one cup of coffee for myself. Brew Performance The water can spill out while boiling if you don't screw the top on quite tightly. Ease of Cleaning I only rate it a 6 because of drying. With some nooks and crannies, we have trouble getting it completely dry without just leaving it out to air dry. Otherwise, it cleans up quite nicely - especially if you get to it right away. Design Does what it is supposed to without extra fluff and gadgets. But still looks GREAT sitting on an open shelf or the table. Durability Haven't had it long enough to test the durability, but my brother has. He has carried his all over the place and used it every day for several years. He isn't the best at keeping it clean, but it still makes great coffee and hasn't broken in any way.
