We have had our Black and Decker two slice toaster for about 4-5 years now. It has worked fine and we are still using it with no problems. The temperature has enough you can vary from and it works great for toast, bagels, english muffins, etc. Works good too for pieces that you put in frozen. Does a good job of defrosting them evenly. It has wide openings so you can easily fit in a bagel with no difficulty. We have had good experiences with our black and decker appliances. They are good quality and last a long time. When this one dies on us, we would definitely consider buying a similar one just for how long they last. Safety No safety issues with our toaster from Black and Decker. Ease of Cleaning Pretty simple to clean on the outside. The inside of toasters is another matter... Durability Durability is great on this toaster. Ours has lasted for a long time and we use it often. Design The design is simple and classic and nothing extra; just what you need. Very practical.

One of the most true statements you can ever hear or say is "you get what you pay for." This is especially true with this toaster. This was one of the first toasters I bought when I moved into my apartment. I bought a cheap one because I probably would not be using it very much anyway. This toaster did its job exactly how it was supposed to for the first few weeks. One day I made some toast, just simple, not too dark, toast. While it was toasting my bread, I walked into the living room to give my dog a treat. The time it took me to walk ten feet to my dog, and back to my kitchen, the toaster was literally melting on the outside. I quickly unplugged it, and threw it into the sink. After it cooled off, I assessed the damage and it was pretty bad. The entire right side was black, and the bottom part of it was melted. I really didn't complain because I bought something that was cheap, and I should've expected this to happen at some point. I would rather spend a little more money, and not risk burning my house down.

I love this Black and Decker toaster. It was inexpensive And simple and easy to use. I have used it for many years and not had any problems. Once you figure out the settings that work for the type of bread you use and the amount you like it toasted, you should have perfect toast every time. Toasting Evenness This toaster has fairly evenly toasted my bread. Unless it is a large piece of bread, it fits in nicely and toasts all around. Safety I've never had any electrical problems with this model toaster. Ease of Cleaning I've always been able to shake the crumbs out easily after use and wipe the outside. If I do this regularly after use, it is easy to keep clean. Durability I've used this toaster for several years, which confirms to me that it is very durable. Design It is a very simple design and does not have a lot of confusing settings, which is one of the things I liked best about it when I got it and continue to like. Many electronic appliances come with settings that are confusing and hard to use. This isn't one of them.

This was my first toaster after college but I still haven't replaced it because it is such a good toaster I don't feel the need to get a more expensive one! Also I feel like this toaster works just as fast or possibly faster than other toasters I've used. And bagels fit perfectly! Toasting Evenness I have never had trouble with any parts toasting any darker or lighter than other parts and unless I set it too high to begin with I never burn anything either. Ease of Cleaning I love the tray underneath that I can pull out the clean out the crumbs and the fact that I can wash that part too. It is also easy enough to get food off of the outside of the toaster too. Durability I always thought this would just be my toaster until I could afford a more expensive model but I have found it to be such a good toaster I don't want to get a more expensive one. This toaster is very durable! Design I love how easy it is to use the dial to change how dark/light you want your toast. Especially since my husband and I change it each time we use it.

This toaster is not top of the line, but it will toast your bread as well as any other toaster. It is simple, cost friendly, and gets the job done. It has an easy removable tray for simple cleaning. It looks nice sitting on my countertop. It's a compact size for easy storage. It's very easy to use. Toasting Evenness No problems with this, even with bagels Safety If you clean the crumbs out regularly it is very safe. Excessive crumbs can be a risk for fire in any toaster. Ease of Cleaning Outside wipes off easily. Removable tray makes it very easy to clean out crumbs. Durability I've had mine a few years and it is holding up just fine, as long as you take care of it. Design It looks nice sitting out on my counter and blends in with the kitchen well.

We received this toaster as a wedding present almost 8 years ago. This is not a fancy toaster, but has done the job well for us during this time period. Here are a few pros and cons: Pros: 1. This toaster is a good value for a low price. 2. Toast fits as well as bagels (cut in half), waffles, pancakes. 3. There is a little tray in the back that slides out to dump out crumbs. Cons: 1. My biggest annoyance is that it doesn't have a cancel button if you want your toast to pop up mid cycle--you have to force the lever up to end early. 2. It doesn't feel that easy to clean--the white gets some oil on it a bit. About 6 months ago, one of the side's burners stopped working. We thought we were going to have to get a new toaster, then they started working again and we haven't had a problem since.

I mean, a toaster is a toaster right? The Black & Decker 2-Slice Toaster T2100 is a basic toaster for anyone's needs. We have a 4-slice toaster that died on us, but I was sick of how much room it took up. We opted for this Black & Decker 2-Slice Toaster because it was smaller and would do the job. And it does. The first time I used it I did burn the toast, but not again. Once I found the perfect setting for my toast it has been wonderful each time. I do notice that this toaster takes a bit longer than my other one did, but overall it is a great toaster for an awesome price! I mean... it is just toast afterall!

If you're in a hurry this toaster is not for you as it seems to take a long time to toast. It toasts everything evenly, but does take an extra amount of time . I like the style of it and the crumb catching tray is easy to glean out. But it is quite slow. Ease of Cleaning I like the little tray that comes out for sleaning.

I have had my Black and Decker 2 slice toaster for several years, and have had no problems. It is a sturdy, and well built toaster that with appropiate settings will always give you perfectly toasted bread. This particular model of Black and Decker has wide slots for bagels which is a great feature to avoid tight fits. The only problem I have with this particular model is that it is not a stainless steel look to match my other appliances, and for that reason I keep it under my cabinets. I have had several toasters over the years and this one seems to be well built to the extent it may be the only 2 slice toaster you will ever need to buy. I do recommend the Black and Decker 2 slice toaster because of its sturdy construction, and more than adequate toasting capabilty. It may take you several tries to get the settings perfect for the appropriate amount of toast desired, but once you have, it will be easy toasting thoughout.

We received our black and decker opti-toast, wide slot toaster as a wedding gift almost six years ago. It is still in great working order and we use it multiple times a week. We like that it is small and takes up very little counter space. We like the wide slots that make it possible to toast a bagle. We like the "bagle" toast option available that will only toast one side of the item you want to toast. We like the crumb tray that is easy to pull out and clean the toaster. The main complaint we have about our black and decker opti-toast wide slot toaster is that there is no way to eject your toast if you can smell it burning. Every toaster that we have ever used has a special button on it that will allow you to eject the toast. If there isn't a button, usually you are able to just pull up on the handle. The only way to eject your toast is to unplug it. This is a real hassle and can be dangerous in my opinion.
