We love this item because it's more than just a rice cooker. We looked into getting a rice cooker when our last one broke suddenly on us, but we wanted something that did a bit more so we had a multi-use appliance. This is it. It can make up to 8 cups of cooked rice at one time; most rice cookers can be on the small side. But we also found that you can steam almost anything with this unit as well as "scenting" items --just like the name implies. We're having a great time trying all kinds of recipes with it. Results have been impressive. Performance We've had simply wonderful results with any recipe we've tried in this cooker. Ease of Cleaning Pretty much you just rinse it with soapy water and you're done. Ease of Use You have to learn how to control the unit and know what you're doing with your recipe, but other than that, it's very easy to use. Durability Lasting fine after weeks and weeks of use. We use it several times per week. Design It's big enough but not too big. As a steamer, I don't think you need anything any bigger. This is ideal.

this is the handiest steamer i have ever owned. it can steam any meat, vegetable or cook rice. the rice bowl is handy. just follow the instructions in the booklet as to how much rice and water to put in and set the dial and walk away. when the timer goes off you will have beautiful rice. the only thing that might happen is the bowl might get a little sticky to clean. i have cooked fish in the steamer and used the flavor tray to add spices. works nicely. i have cooked all types of veggies from broccolli to green beans to carrots to pototes. it is such a healthy way to cook and less mess to clean up. i am on my second one of these already.
