We received this as a wedding gift, and we have never had a moments trouble from it. It fits everything we would like to put in it, it toasts evenly and concise with the level you put it on - the only issue is how bulky it is and how much room it takes up. It just seems like there is a lot of outside that they could have designed into a "slimmer" model. Cleaning doesn't cause me much problems because the crumbs do have a trap that they fall into and it collects almost all of the crumbs. Cleaning outside is extreamly easy...just the wipe of a damp cloth and everything comes off!

The Black & Decker T4200 4-Slice Toaster is a good toaster. It has different settings for your preferred toast and does a good job and being true to it's settings. It works best with thinner pieces of bread. Thicker pieces of bread or bagels get easily burned. It is not the most durable toaster. The lever on one side of my toaster broke off within a short time of purchasing it, but it is still useable. It takes up a lot of space and is hard to keep clean. Toasting Evenness This product does a good job at staying true to the settings on the machine and cooks evenly. Safety It's easy to burn your fingers getting toast out of the toaster. Toast doesn't always pop up far enough to grab it without toasting your hands in the process. Ease of Cleaning This machine is really a pain to keep clean. Crumbs get caught on the inside. The outside is easy enough to wipe down with a sponge or washcloth. Durability The lever on the right side broke off within weeks of purchasing this toaster. It is still useable, but I'm disappointed it broke so quickly. Design It's very plain and isn't anything special to look at. It's a very basic toaster.
