We go through a lot of coffee so we switched to a French Press to save on coffee filters. We also had problems finding a coffee maker that could pour coffee without spilling it everywhere and also make a good dark brew. We are so glad we switched to the Bodum 12 cup French Press! We've had it for almost 4 years now and it's held up. It is easy to clean - just throw it in the dishwasher. It's easy to make - just add 4 scoops of ground coffee and let rest for a minute, then drink! Guests have commented on it and we even ended up buying a smaller one for my mother because she liked ours so much. I sometimes wish it was double walled but since that was more expensive at the time we opted for this and like I've said, we still love it. Brew Performance It's nice to be able to make a dark - almost espresso like brew - to a lighter brew depending on what you are in the mood for. Ease of Cleaning Just rinse off or throw in the dishwasher. Super easy. Ease of Use Not much too it - no filters that you have to buy, just hot water and coffee. Design Pours well, handle is nice. Durability Despite 1 baby and 3 cats, after 4 years it's still around and hasn't been broken.
