This is a lovely, clean product but definitely not an acne cure....at least that was the case with me. If you have fairly decent skin, this product will do just fine. It has a fresh, clean smell and I like that it's not loaded with a lot of harmful ingredients. Effectiveness I believe Tea tree is very effective in curing many a skin condition; ranging from spots, rashes, bites through to greasy skin. This may very well be the case, but in my experience it wasn't very effective in helping with adult cystic and hormonal acne. I think I was ambitious in thinking I'd suddenly wake up with beautiful, clear skin. The main difference I saw was my skin becoming a little less greasy. Ease of Application In my life I've gone through many skin treatments and so this was very straight forward to use. The instructions are in plain English, easy enough for everyone to understand. Convenience This product posed no inconvenience in the way you apply it at all. Side Effects I experienced no side effects whatsoever. My skin was left smelling gorgeous and squeaky clean.

I have sensitive skin that is acne prone. I tried this facial wash, along with the other products in this line. I used the toner and the weekly mask. This product worked for me, it helped keep my acne under control and my skin always felt clean and fresh. I used this with my Clarisonic machine and it did not cause any irritation or redness. I used it in the morning and the evening before bed. I am pretty good about my skin regimen and this product worked well for me. I used it for about 6 months and felt my skin needed more with anti aging and control the excess oil that my skin was producing. Effectiveness It is a quality product that works well. I was hesitant about trying it, but I really liked it. It gave my skin a cooling effect and it felt very refreshed and clean. Ease of Application It is very easy to use and the bottle is made to be able to use all of the product so there is minimal waste. Side Effects I did not have any redness or skin irritation at all. Immediacy My skin felt very clean and refreshed after the first wash.

It works very well and helped my skin to heal, but I have bad acne. It helped my acne a little , but it is not a strong treatment. If you are looking for a product for little acne and sensitive skin, this is for you! Effectiveness Works subtlely, brightens overall skin tone. Ease of Application Easy to apply and wash off, it takes all of 5 minutes to wash your face and rinse it off. Convenience Once again, as long as you have 3-5 minutes, you can wash you face with this stuff. Side Effects It is very gentle and I never experienced any itching or burning. Immediacy It takes little while to get rid of the acne, but brightness in skin tone is immediately visible.

I have used tea tree products in the past and was excited to use the Tea tree Skin clearing facial was from TBS too. I have a combination skin but no acne. I bought this product to replace my then existing facial wash. Sadly, my skin felt extra dry, itchy and I could feel it tight from within. I could not stand a minute after drying my face, I immediately had to apply the moisturizer. It has never happened to me with any face wash. This is the first ever product I had to return at the body shop. This face wash might only be suitable for acne prone skin, but if you are looking to use it just as any other face wash, it might not be the one. I would recommend trying a sample before making the purchase. I also bought the toner to use along, but did not use it because of the fear of damaging my skin. pros: refreshing smell and a small amount is enough. cons: it leaves the skin dry and tight.

I love this facial wash! Since using it my face has felt and looked better. It is cruelty free, it is an amazing price (and the body shop is constantly having online sales), and it has improved my skin. It's works as well as other, more expensive products filled with chemicals, and doesn't leave a chemical-y residue/feeling on your face. Ease of Application It lathers great, something that isn't true for a face washes. Immediacy It takes a little more time that other products to work, but tea tree oil is more natural than other acids/ingredients and over time it has the same/a better effect

This is my go-to cleaner. I have tried many (just check under my sink), but I keep coming back to this one. I have sensitive skin which lean towards dry, with occasional breakouts and this works well for me. I also use the mattifying lotion from this line as well. My brother in law also uses this, and he is very acne prone. I don't feel like it will necessarily help prevent breakouts if you have bad acne. But for mild, occasional breakouts, this works well. I really appreciate The Body Shop's fair trade ethics, and their commitment to natural products. It's great when a company like that actually has quality products, too. Ease of Application It's an easy pour from the bottle, in gel form. Convenience The bottle is great, and there are severalBody Shops near me. They have frequent "Buy 2 get one free" sales, so stock up! Side Effects I have't noticed any side effects from this product. If you are sensitive to tea tree oil, you might want to avoid this product. Immediacy This won't necessarily cure your acne, but it works as a good gentle cleanser with tea tree.

I enjoy this body wash, I also use the Shampoo from time to time. Its a little more expensive than most shampoos but any products with Tea Tree oil tend to cost more. I enjoy the smell the texture and the tingly cool feeling you get when you use it. Effectiveness Pretty good, it leaves my face feeling fresh, clean and a little tingly just so you know its working. I do enjoy using it and I know the quality is there. This is a rare product cosmetically where I do believe you get what you pay for. Ease of Application Just as easy as any other kind of face or body wash Side Effects You do get a cool tingly feeling when using certain tea tree products, to be honest its one of the main reasons I buy it. I have noticed that over time that feeling wears out as the product loses its freshness. Its the one downside so I'd say this product has a shorter shelf life in terms of effectiveness over time. Immediacy It works pretty quickly I take about a minute to apply, wash and rinse.

we have tried most every over- the-counter acne face wash on the market trying to find one that would help my 17 year old daughter's frequent breakouts. i shop the body shop for other products, so was curious when i read other positive reviews and raving feedback about the tea tree line. bought it on a 50% off sale, which made the price no more expensive than other brands she had tried. we were so thankful and excited when after less than a week her skin had improved. she has seen continued improvement, so we decided to try the other products in the line as well. this product line is fabulous and we can't say enough about its effectiveness. it is not drying or harsh like some acne face washes and it has a fresh, clean scent. i am now buying it for her 19 year old brother who tried it when he was home on a college break. he, too, had the same success and also loves to use the tea tree lotion after he shaves! we would highly recommend this product for anyone who suffers from acne. in fact, don't even waste your time and money on anything else. start here first!

I am actually surprised at reading any negative reviews for this product. Last year was my first year teaching, which if any of you ladies are teachers out there then you know the level of stress I was going through! I typically have very good skin (though sensitive!) and I ended up experiencing a ton of break outs. Not being something I am used to I sought out a cleanser to use that would help. Luckily, my friend worked at The Body Shop and she directed me to the Tea Tree line. I bought both the cleaner and the toner and fell in love! Within a few days my breakouts had cleared and my skin was back to normal. I have been using the product religiously ever since and it is fine to use daily on my sensitive skin. The only downfall about the product is it can sometimes dry my face out. Now, I also have incredibly dry skin, but using moisturizer after washing my face with the Tea Tree has helped tremendously and it is not so big of a problem that it would turn me away from the product

In my 30's my face started breaking out. I didn't even have pimples when I was a teenager. Nothing helped except for this facial cleanser. I use it in the morning and at night. I feel a slight tingle but my face feels so clean after. It clears up my face so quickly. It does not dry out my face. Effectiveness I have tried many products but nothing is as effective as this cleanser. I see results overnight. It makes my pimples shrink very quickly. Ease of Application It doesn't get very sudsy and bubbly. Only a small amount is needed and it covers your entire face. Convenience It's very convenient. It's very easy to apply and use. I keep the bottle in my shower and use it on my face and body if I need it. Side Effects I didn't have any side effects. The only thing is the tingling that occurs right after I put it only my face but it disappears shortly after. I have sensitive skin and I do not have problems using this. Immediacy I see results very quickly. It helps my break outs and keeps my face from being overly greasy.
