Take a load off!

4

This is my first dishwasher, so it's very nice to not have to do it all by hand anymore! We picked this one, well... because it's Bosch and my husband said it has a good leak prevention thing inside the door. I noticed right away that it is super easy to load (and it even came with some instructions with a diagram on how to load it for beginners like me!) It was SUPER quiet the whole time it was on, silent! The dishes came out very clean. The only downside is it doesn't dry very good. Some dishes are a little wet afterwards (mainly cups on the top rack), so I let them air out for a little.

Quiet running, washes dishes really well, easy to operate, easy to self install, very durable, easy to clean. Great overall product. Noise Level Very quiet Cleaning Time Cleaning time varies depending on cycle selected. But since they have a food particle sensor they very rarely over run Loading Flexibility Would be nice if more parts of the loading rack would collapse Performance Never had any problems

Good for small apartments

3

Prior to purchasing our home, we rented a very small apartment in order to save money with which to buy our home. This tiny apartment, came complete with a tiny kitchen... which had a dishwasher, which we thought was GREAT - because most apartments we had previously rented had come without a dishwasher. The positives: for the size, you can get an awful lot of dishes in there - most than you think you could at first glance. And the noise level is wonderful, once you've closed the unit and turned it on, you can barely here it running at all. I had to re-enter the kitchen a couple of times, because I was afraid that I had forgotten to hit the "start" button. The negative: EVERYTHING needs to be pre-rinsed. If there's stubborn food particles, the Bosch Ascenta is NOT getting them off. At first, I thought that maybe I had been overloading the dishwasher, and that might be causing the problem. But then I took to only filling it halfway - and the results were the same. It's great for cleaning dishes, but not any pots, pans, or dishes with sticky substances.

Great dishwasher

Love our dishwasher! Does the job, great! Noise Level It's not silent, but what appliance is? Ours is very quite and I only even notice it's on when the water is swishing around. Cleaning Time Has a regular / average timing for it's cleaning cycle. Nothing too crazy long. Loading Flexibility This may be the "worst" aspect of the machine, but we have a small family and don't need a whole lot of room. Although we have some big, square dinner plates that get in the way. And I could probably just learn how to fit everything better. But still, we've rarely ever had a "problem" where I can't find a place for everything. Performance Does a great job! Only once in a rare while will I ever have a problem with something not coming out nicely clean. I rinse all my dishes beforehand, but nothing in the way of "pre-cleaning" them first. The only time I remember an issue is when a dish got stuck in there after having something caked on it and it all dried first. But still, that's rare. Design No complaints on the design. Works perfect for our space, right under the cabinet next to our kitchen sink. Durability Greatly durable so far! We've only had it a few years, but have not had one issue with it at all. I'm satisfied!

A stylish way to clean dishes

I have owned this dishwasher for three years and I have been pleased over all. You can fit quite a few dishes in the top section and bottom section. I can usually fit all of my silverware in the bottom section. The bottom also holds a lot of dishes while the top part is reserved for cups. I use powder dish washer formula that works really well. I even use the store brand and this dish washer makes my dishes sparkle! The dish washer is energy efficient and does not cost a lot to maintain each year. The dishwasher does not use a lot of water either with each use. I do not even have to scrub the dishes before I load them in the dish washer. The dishwasher also looks quite attractive. It matches the color of my refrigerator which is a nice bonus. The only thing from keeping this as a perfect ten is that it cost a little too much. However, the cost is well worth the quality machine that you get with this that you can get years of use from!

It's just ok

I'm a little disappointed in this Bosch dishwasher. Everyone I know loves theirs, but I'm finding this one to be a bit lacking. The main problem I've been having is that the filter sits in a hole that does not drain - it fills with water and, as the water sits, it can start to smell. I've been sucking out the water with an old detergent bottle after every few runs, but I can't help but wonder if this is really how a well regarded dishwasher should function. I've asked the installer about it but it was installed correctly and it's just the way it is. I suspect part of the problem may be that we only run the dishwasher two or three times a week, so fresh water isn't running through every day. Otherwise, the dishwasher is very quiet and cleans well. We do rinse first since the dishes can sit for a few days before running.

Not what I expected from Bosch.

This dishwasher is pretty quiet- I can run it and still carry on a conversation in the kitchen. Most guests can't even tell it's running! However, I expected better cleaning from a Bosch. I seem to constantly have to rewash my dishes. There is a strange sandy residue left in glasses and mugs regardless of detergent I use. This was the unit in the kitchen when we moved into our house just a few months ago, and it had recently been installed, but we were not left any manual for using it. I called customer service to ask if they would send me one- they said they would- but I have not received it and we cannot figure out how to engage the child lock feature. I am disappointed in this dishwasher for it's lack of power too. It seems to leave residue on silverware. Sometimes even recognizable residue such as peanut butter on a knife, even when they were rinsed before being put in. I will probably replace this model in a few years.
