Great product that works well!

4

I have hormonal acne that I keep under control using some Retin-A, zinc, avoiding dairy, and taking a hormonal balance supplement. But every once in a while, I still get blemishes. This stuff is great for occasional pimples. The only drawback is that it seems to lose effectiveness about half way through the bottle. Like a lot of acne medication, you skin seems to adapt to it. But if I wait a few weeks and try it again, it works well. Effectiveness The sulfur in this product is really good for skin. This is effective on most pimples (although it won't do much for deep cystic zits, I use arnica oil for those), and dries them up for me within a day or two. Ease of Application This is one area where this product lacks. I just use a q-tip to dip into the separated pink part and apply. I tend to run out of the clear liquid faster than the pink part. Convenience I have bought this at the drug store, so it's not something you have to buy online and wait for shipping, which is great when you suddenly have a zit ;) Side Effects I have experienced minimal side effects from this, some slight drying. But it's really not that bad, and only happens if you use it over and over in the same place. Immediacy This takes away or greatly reduces the size of pimples within a few days.

Seems to be decent product

Saw this product on late night television, the commercial seemed too good to be true like with most As seen on TV commercials, but I was desperate, so I gave in and decided to order. The main active ingredient is sulfur. And this has 10% of the active ingredient. Sulfur is an age old treatment for acne, and I was a bit hesitant because we all know that sulfur smells really bad, like old rotten eggs. If the sulfur is applied to the skin, it will dry and peel, so I thought that this might work and cause the pimple to fade. I tested this product and it seems that the best use is for whiteheads only. But a very small amount. This will dry the pimple, but it will not produce a healing of the skin. If you over do it, your face will feel very bad and you will have tons of side effects. They seemed to mask the odor pretty well, so this does not smell like rotten eggs at all. The side effects that I experienced were redness, burning, peeling, excessive drying and my skin felt really irritated while using this product.

Bye Bye Blemish is perfect for breakouts

This product is amazing! It is perfect for spot treatment not for all over your face. You take a q-tip and dip it in the soultion and dab it on your blemish then go to bed and by morning it's almost completely gone. It only works with whiteheads and blackheads not for tiny red bumps. Again this is not for all over your face, because it will dry out your skin. Even if you use it as spot treatment it has a tendancy to dry out your skin a lot if you use it daily. I would only recommend it if you have a stubborn pimple and you need get rid of it by morning. Even though it comes in a small bottle, a little bit goes a long way, do not over do it. This product should last you a long time. Also you do not shake it, you want the oil sitting on top and the pink stuff sitting on the bottom. So keep it somewhere where it will not get tipped over and shaken. Overall this is a amazing product and I would buy it again.

Miracle! This stuff is a miracle!

Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion is an acne treatment for spot treatment of individual pimples and zits, not for all over the face or back or anything, and it is not for totally severe acne. I have moderate acne and use this for spot treatment and somehow it is a miracle! you keep it on your countertop and DO NOT shake it (it says this in big letters right there on the cap, so I thought it was important enough to include here). You get a Q-tip and stick it straight down into the stuff and then apply it to your pimples overnight and  it seems to shrink them down a LOT. I really don't even know what the stuff is, on the ingredients it says 10% Sulfur but it also has Isopropyl Alcohol in there and zinc oxide, Camphor, iron oxide, salycylic acid, and Aluminum Magnesium Silicate. it consits of pink/peach stuff on the bottom and clear liquid (I guess the alcohol?) on top. This stuff is REALLY drying, so you really only need it on the tiny spot where your zit is. and careful, it will come off during the night all over your pillow. but it's worth it!

It really works

Amazing! i had a horrible case of adult acne, and trying to cover up my myriad of blemishes led to lots of blackheads and whiteheads (foundation overload!!). This cleared up the larger blemishes as well as unclogged my pores. LOVE LOVE LOVE. To all the people who said it smelled bad, I can only say this: its 10% sulfur. What the heck did you expect it to smell like? Sulfur medications have been the only thing that cleared up my face, and I have had dermatologists prescribe sulfur meds, and I couldn't afford a derm visit right now, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I could buy this without paying a ridiculous amount of money for a dermatologist to prescribe it. Yeah my pillows smell like sulfur and my face smells like sulfur, and my jewelry is tarnishing (did anyone else have this problem? I have a chemistry degree, so I'm not very suprised), but having clear skin is worth it (one less thing to worry about!).

Bye Bye Blemish is the only thing that clears up my acne.

I have tried every product on the market to get rid of my acne and keep my skin clear. Proactiv? Waste of money. Benzoyl peroxide? Okay, but it dries me out so much that my skin just gets red & inflamed all over again from scratching away the itches and exfoliating away the scales. (And I have really oily skin ordinarily, so that's saying something.) Salicylic acid is about as useless as rubbing water on my face, and everything else on the drugstore shelves was equally unsuccessful. When I tried Proactiv, though, it came with a sulfur mask treatment, which I actually liked a lot (but which costs a ridiculous amount of money at the mall kiosks, and doesn't even appear to be available at all on the website without a subscription to the Proactiv system ). Then I found Bye Bye Blemish, made with the same active ingredient, and hallelujah, finally something that works! It does dry my skin a little -- I'm guessing because of the alcohol that the pink sulfur stuff sits in -- but not nearly as badly as other products, so I can live with it. The only reason this doesn't get five stars from me is because I'd love to see it in a thicker, easier-to-use mask form like Proactiv has. You have to swab the pink stuff on your face with a q-tip, so it takes forever if you have acne in more than just a few spots like I do. But all things considered, this product is great and actually worth the price. I wish there were more sulfur-containing acne treatments on the market, it seems to be such an untapped resource so far. Why haven't more companies discovered how effective it is?
