When I'm in a hurry this product heats up in a pinch, also creates a sleek finish when I need a elegant look.

Best straightener EVER

This is my absolute favorite straightener. It heats up very fast & I can straighten my hair in 10 mins. I bought mine 2yrs ago & it works just as good as day one. They may be pricey but worth every penny.

Never been straighter

I love the chi! It's never stopped on me. I have another one, off-brand, less expensive, and I love investing my money into something that works really well. The chi allows me to hurry and get ready and not spend more time on my hair then everything else. I prefer it rather than anything else and I will never choose a different brand. It comes with me when i go on trips and I rarely let people use it because I'm so selfish with it, because it's great and I don't think, personally, that any straightner is better. I has officially won my vote and has an amazing way of making my hair look good. I gets hot fast and even can curl if i want it to, it makes my hair straight like i like it, i hate curls and straight hair together, so it makes sure that doesn't happen. The chi people did so well making this flat iron, i wish i could tell them myself. I enjoy it a lot and hope they come out with several other versions, too!

the CHI works for me

I have probably only owned 2 or 3 straighteners in my life and most of those were a long time ago and cheap. I changed my hair style during the last year or so and wanted to try wearing it straight more often. In order to do this, I decided I needed to get a quality styling tool. I asked my hair-dresser sister-in-law what she had used on my hair and she uses and recommended a CHI straightening iron. I was a little bit unsure about the high price tag back when I got my CHI, but I tried to get the best deal I could find at the time and it does seem to be a quality and long-lasting item. The iron does a great job with my wavy hair. The cheap irons I had long ago never could quite get all of the wave out of my thick hair and I didn't know that there were products that could perform better. The CHI takes care of the waves with one swipe and it doesn't pull out my hair either. It has nice, smooth, and really hot plates. Now I just need to be a little less lazy and use it more.

I have to admit that I bought this straightner purely because it looked so odd and I simply HAD to know how it worked.  Well, it works great.  I don't use it much to straighten my hair but it curls my hair beautifully.  And the added volume at the roots isn't hurting anything either.  Although I think the volume aspect of it would be more noticable and worthwhile for someone with shorter hair.  My hair reaches to the middle of my back and I've noticed that I can't seem to get as much volume as I could when my hair was half its length.  A friend of mine has even shorter hair (above her shoulders) and she can get tons of volume from using this.  You have to use a heat protectant with this though because even when I'm using this at its lowest temperatures I feel that it damages my hair more than any other straightner I've used.  I'm not sure why I feel that way but everyone who heat styles their hair should be using a heat protectant anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter.

The Chi Works Great

The Farouk CHI flat iron was the first to have ceramic plates, making it a best seller. I own one of the orginial CHI. It's the cheapest model in the CHI range and falls into the medium priced category for flat irons. It comes with 1" ceramic plates, heats in seconds and is still a very good hair styling tool. But if you're thinking of buying a CHI flat iron then you might be best to buy a Farouk CHI Turbo flat iron. CHI Turbo flat irons come in 3 different plates sizes; 0.75", 1" and 2". Choosing what size is best for you depends on your type of hair. Generally, the shorter or thinner your hair the narrower the plate size. Conversely, if you have long or coarse hair, then you're best using a wider plate. The company claims that the ceramic used in the plates of their flat iron are made from NASA tested ceramic.
