I love all chi flat irons. I'm on my second one in 10 years, and only because I lost my first one. It is the only flatiron I will use on my hair which has the texture of a pineapple, but after using the iron my hair is actually manageable.

Used this product for 6 months and the cord started coming out. When I tried to exchange it or use the warranty I was told that the defect was not covered. Waste of money.

I love my chi. I have naturally curly hair but I never wear it curly. I have had this for years and it is still going strong. During the time I have had this I have been through two hair dryers. I use it almost every day. It doesn't just straighten my hair, but it makes it feel silky. Other flat irons have torn my hair as it can sometimes get stuck where the plates are attached to the handle, but this one has never done that to me. I set it to the highest temperature and only need to run it over each section one time. I do use a heat protectant spray, but according to my hair dresser the heat from this does not appear to be ruining my hair. My ends don't split until about after 3 months from the previous haircut, which I think is pretty standard even when not using heat products like a flat iron. This was expensive compared to many other brands but for the outcome each day and for it to last so long I think it is well worth the money. Also, I have seen this at nordstrom rack and other discount department stores so I know it can be found for less in some places. Effectiveness Works on my curly hair. People are shocked when I go in the water and come out and they see how curly my hair really is. Durability Have had 3+ years

This flat iron is quite expensive, but I really think that it is worth it. It is very light and easy to hold up. My arm does not get tired even after I have been styling my hair for over an hour. It is easy to hold behind your head and maneuver. My hair is wavy and to keep it straight for days I only need to go over each section of hair twice. It is also great for curling hair. If I twist the flat iron it gives me nice smooth curls if I used an actual hair curler. It does not leave any wavy parts in my hair or spots that are not styled. It is pretty compact and fits in luggage, purses, etc. I accidentally set it in a small pool of water on my counter and it has worked fine after that. I have also dropped it numerous times on a tile floor, and it still works as good as when I first got it. My friend who has incredibly curly puffy hair uses this and it completely transforms her hair into straight and shiny. She was the one who recommended this to me.

You know you'll have a high performance flat iron when you get a Chi. This product was no exception. I received this as a present a couple of years ago, and I've been using it ever since without ever running into any problems. Chi makes high quality flat irons. Obviously, the fact that it's pink rates high in my book, but it also works very well. I normally use it just straighten my hair. It does the job easily and flawlessly, without burning or damaging my hair. Once I've straightened my hair with this flat iron, it stays perfectly styled all day, and even all of the next day since I only wash my hair every other day. It heats up quickly, and never gets too hot for my hair. In addition, it's safe to use and I've never had issues with burning my hands from touching or holding it (unless, of course I do something dumb and absentmindedly touch the hot plates). Effectiveness Straightens my hair flawlessly and easily, without damaging it. Durability Just as good now as it was when I first got it years ago!

I bought the Chi Ultra 1 inch Ceramic Flat Iron for my mom about two years ago. I knew that the CHI brand was very reputable. I loved that the flat iron was hot pink, but also in a bunch of other colors. This flat iron has been my go-to flat iron after trying out my mom's. The Chi Ultra flat iron has a smaller iron (one inch) than many other flat irons, so you do need to reduce the amount of hair being straightened at once. I loved that this flat iron, unlike others only took one or two passes to effectively straightened my very curly/wavy hair. The flat iron has held up for over two years with normal use (almost everyday). It has lasted a long time, so I think this does make up for the huge cost. The Chi Ultra One inch flat iron is a great gift for teenage girls and up. I will be purchasing another one of these flat irons as a gift for my sister. These flat irons really do hold up and are worth the cost.

I got this Chi flat iron for Christmas and I have one word for this product.... AMAZING! My hair is very thick and curly and this flat iron can straighten my hair in one swipe. I also love how smooth and soft my hair feels from it. And my hair also looks very shiny and healthy after using this product. Overall, great product! It's definitely worth the extra money!

First off, I have very thick, curly hair. Not only is it hard to find a good straightening serum, but it is extremely difficult to find a perfect hair straightener. The Chi that I use, I bought from Ulta. It was inexpensive, and has done right by me since I have purchased it. However, I need something more. I don't know if it is just the heat it produces, that makes it a little easier to straighten, but I find it hard to do anything else with afterwords. Anything that I apply after I use the straightener seems to have no effect. You would think having naturally curly hair, that it would be harder to straighten and easier to apply curls at the bottom, but it is just the opposite. I have tried all the hair products when it comes to the gels, mousess, and shampoos. I saw an info mercial recently that advertised a straightener with a comb and a curling iron all in one. I want to try it, but it is not as affordable as the one I have. And, I fear that it will just do what all the other products say they will do. Maybe, it is just my hair that is doomed. I do love my straightener, I just need something more. Maybe this company has come out with something else, that I have not heard of. It would be enlightening to know if they do. Ultimitely, thank you for a straightener that STRAIGHTENS! Just need a push on the other difficulties.
