California State University Northridge has an excellent online master's degree program! I was part of the sixth graduating class and I graduated last May (2008). After finishing my BA in Speech Pathology at SDSU in 2003, I was very discouraged to continue to obtain my MA because the limited selection of schools which offered MA's in Speech. I wanted to stay in San Diego but staying in San Diego and obtaining a MA didn't seem like a possibility. That is when someone suggested that I look for online programs. I found CSUN and could be happier. I started in May of 2005 with 29 other aspiring Speech Path's. We took every class together and were automatically enrolled in the each class we took. The professors were great and easily reached through email and scheduled online chats. The program is year around for 3 years, typically taking 1-2 classes at a time. What I like most about completing my MA online is that I worked full time throughout the program as a speech assistant and I was able to apply what I was learning in class directly to what I was doing on the job. Another plus is that with working full time, there are times when you just wouldn't feel like doing homework that night and with the flexibility of the online program, I wouldn't have to. I could do it the next day. It is a great program!!!!
