Only moments after application, my hands felt itchy and started turning red...not the best first sign after trying out a product. It absorbed easily into my skin, but the reaction kind of offsets the fact that it absorbs easily. I do have sensitive skin, so it may not cause any adverse reactions to people who do not have sensitive skin, of course. Sometimes, fragrance is responsible for irritations to people with sensitive skin, and the almond scent this lotion has is pretty overpowering. It smells like straight almond extract made with alcohol. It's definitely not a subtle scent when you first put it on your hands. My first thought was that I was putting irritation causing alcohol on my skins, and then I noticed alcohol was one of the ingredients. Whether that is a normal lotion ingredient, I do not know. Recently I received a sample sachet of Caswell-Massey Almond & Aloe Hand Body Emulsion, and looked at the sachet, because it was completely flat. I figured that they had missed putting the product in it. I cut the top off, and nothing. I then cut down both sides, and turned it inside out. The emulsion was the tiniest amount on each side of the interior. I could smell the almond, and was able to scrape off enough to do both knees. That was it. I am sorry that I cannot give you a proper rating of this product. If Caswell-Massey had sent enough for me to do my elbows, knees, and heels, that I might have been able to form an opinion.
