Clinque Redness Solutions helps with my rosacea

4

I recently heard about Redness Solutions Makeup SPF15 with Probiotic Technology. I have been dealing with redness issues for years due to rosacea and I have been looking for a foundation that would help offset the redness in my complexion. I like that it is an oil-free makeup helps colour-correct flushing and blushing. It also has some calming ingredients that seem to help minimize flare-ups. I am glad it has sunscreen in it but I wish the SPF was higher. Redness Solutions Makeup SPF15 with Probiotic Technology goes on smoothly but it has a little more coverage than I am used to. I feel like my face doesn't look as natural as it did with my old foundation. - **Skin Types: **1 - Very Dry to Dry, 2 - Dry Combination, 3 - Oily - **Formula: **Liquid - **Coverage: **Moderate

turned orange on my face

I have used Clinique Superfit makeup for years, and in the last year they first recalled it, then discontinued it. Very sad, I loved the stuff. So, instead they recommended this for me as I have mild roseaca. I was REALLY disappointed!! It seems a bit oily to me, or at least, more so than my Superfit did. Worst of all, in a couple of hours there was a distinct orange tinge to my skin!! I have wasted so much money over the years on foundations that have just done this--so I was so happy to find my match with the Superfit. I thought this would be great, but no, I'd rather use the Smashbox green photofinish primer (see my review) to take down the redness. Thankfully, I got a sample of this at the counter--enough to use a couple of times to verify that each time it did turn color on me. Not something I'm going to purchase and glad I didn't waste money on it!

Clinique Redness Solutions lives up to its name

I have had facial redness for years but had no clue that it was rosacea until my doctor made an offhanded comment at an appointment. She prescribed me a cream that did nothing. I then tried oral medicine and that cleared it up a tiny bit but the side effects were horrible. I then tried another cream and that did nothing. A friend suggested Cliniques Redness product line. She said that it made her skin nearly porcelain. I figured I didn't have anything to lose, but fully expected it to not help much based on my experience. I bought both the skin care package (wash, lotion, SPF lotion) plus the foundation. I started using them about a month ago. While my skin has not cleared up completely, there is a noticeable difference. Definitely more than any of the medicine I tried. Plus, the foundation goes on smooth, blends well, and dulls the redness to a light red vs flaming red. My skin is happy and I am much more confident now that my skin is less red.

Cinique redness solutions--A good product for redness

4

I've never been big on facial products until recently. I've always had a redder complexion, easiy covered by foundation, but I started hating using foundation/powder. I bought the 3 part Clinique Redness Solutions and have seen a subtle change in the past 2 weeks. Plus the products are soothing, non-oily and light.

Covers up redness well

4

I have rosacea and acne along with some skin discoloration and this Clinique foundation covers up these problems well. The only thing it doesn't cover up well is my acne scarring, but I'm not too concerned about that. I like the formula of the foundation. It doesn't feel thick on my face, but I can't get an exact shade match to my skin. I wish there were more shade options for this foundation, but I like how well this covers up most of my skin problems. I have dry skin with an oily T zone and this foundation made me extremely shiny in that area. I had to blot and apply powder within the first hour of having this foundation on my face. I'm not sure how well it would work for anyone with an oily T zone or oily skin in general. There's SPF in this product which is always a good thing, but not sure if the probiotic stuff even works. I haven't noticed a difference in the amount of breakouts from using this product.

Pricey Foundation with little staying power, but feels nice

3

I was so excited when I saw that Clinique was coming out with a foundation in their Redness Solutions line!  I rushed out and bought it, but had a hard time matching one of the colors to my skin tone.  I finally settled on Calming Ivory, but it is still a little dark.  I am a Redhead with fair skin, but not terribly fair.  It is a big jump between the Alabaster color and the Ivory.  They need one in between these two.  This foundation feels really nice on my Rosacea skin, and it doesn't break me out or burn.  I am not sure about the "cooling" factor it claims to have, but my skin does not seem as reactive when I have it on.  What I don't like about it is that it does not stay on my skin for very long.  By mid day it has slid off my face and it doesn't set well, so anything I touch to my face has foundation transferred to it and the foundation rubbed off, ie. my hands, tissue, clothing, people!  It's also a little shiney on the skin as well.

One of my favorites

Background: I have acne-prone, Asian light-medium with warm tones, combo-oily skin with medium size pores and some hyperpigmentation. This did not break me out. Shade: 3/5. Not a fan of the selection of shades. I settled on Neutral, which (thank god) makes my skin a teensy bit darker but overall works (it makes me look healthy, rather than washed out) Packaging: 5/5! Definitely is hygienic, there's a dropper-like opening at the top of the tube that allows consistent dispensing of the foundation without allowing bacteria or other stuff to get inside easily. Very nice when compared with other foundations with pour-out hole openings Application: 4/5. I use my fingers, rather than a brush. 3 dots on each cheek, 2 on my forehead, 2 on nose, and 2 on chin, then I blend everything out. Takes me about 30 seconds, muchh faster than when I used mineral makeup. This is smooth and dries quickly, and doesn't rub off that easily. Coverage is medium, but can be built on to add more coverage. In fact, I dab a few more dots of this as a concealer for my trouble spots. Sunscreen coverage: this has spf 15, which is an OK amount but I live in sunny California so I use another SPF 30 (or more depending on the day) sunscreen before this Redness reducing claim: Clinique claims that over time, this will actually help minimize redness on the skin. Well, I've used it for approximately one month now and can testify that that is TRUE. It's amazing, I know. I couldn't believe it myself, but my skin truly looks less red and flushed (I break out easily and always had troubled flushed skin). Overall: Highly recommended if you suffer from facial redness (acne, rosacea, or eczema).

Great Coverage

I first tried this product using a free sample I got from a store after explaing my makeup needs to the sales lady. I normally use mineral powder foundation, because other liquid foundations clog my skin. But sometimes I just can't get the coverage I want with powder. I tried this product and was immediately impressed. I have pattern redness around my nose and in between my brows and on my cheeks...and after using this product, I didn't even need to use concealer! Flawless coverage and my skin didn't feel greasy or cakey like it often can with other liquids. I honestly forgot I was wearing makeup. I bought a bottle the next day and have even noticed that my normal redness has been reduced even when not wearing this foundation (I use it almost everyday). I highly recommend this product!*Added bonus...a little goes a long way, so the bottle will last you a long time, the sample alone last me almost 2 weeks!

Worth the money - no more red!

My skin gets red from irritants and wind damage, and just daily scrubbing.  Even with makeup on, you can still see red spots through my foundation.  I bought this for a Christmas present to myself.  I really like it.  I feel less ruddy.  And, not sure how to describe this, but when I get embarrassed or upset, my face REALLY turns red.  I don't think it shows as much with this makeup! The foundation really blends into my skin well.  I have a nice even coverage, and not spots.  It even covers up my sun damage really well.  The color is a pretty close match, so it looks really natural.   Over all, I am very satisfied with my purchase.  I would rate it 5 stars, but it is a little costly.  Not bad since it goes a long way, but still a little more than I feel totally comfortable paying for.  I like the natural look I get, I like that it covers my red spots, I highly recommend it to you if you have uneven skin tones.

Clinique Redness Solutions makeup is the bomb!

Clinique Redness Solution makeup, along with the complete line of clinique Redness Solution products, is absolutely the best for not just covering up the redness, but also clearing it up.   I am 55, in that pesky yet wonderful time of menopause, and when I get a hot flash, my cheeks and chin get all red.  I look like Santa Claus!  So a couple of years ago, I was at the Clinique counter to get my Moisture Surge, and I glanced in the mirror and saw my jolly red cheeks.   Right there in front of me was a tube of Redness Solution daily protective base.  I rubbed some on my cheeks, and the redness was much less noticeable.   When the foundation came out, I was first in line to buy it.  It didn't disappoint.  It looks natural and goes on smooth.  I use the base, the foundation, then the redness powder.  No matter how many hot flashes I may get, or, in the case of the summer redness,  this stuff always covers or clears it up.  Clinique Redness Solution makeup is worth every penny it costs.
