Cleaning the toilet is a disgustingly necessary job - unless you want to expose yourself to countless bacterium and horrific odors (imagine what the guests will say...), you must do it no matter what. Thankfully, I found Clorox's *Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner* to get around scrubbing and having to get a bit too close to the latrine. These are not miniscule little Alka-Seltzer style tablets that you drop in and let dissolve. Nope, these are pebble-sized clunkers of bleach and bromine that you dunk into the rear corner of your water tank; within five to ten minutes you should begin to notice the effects. My toilet bowl looks a lot shinier, and the hard-water stains are beginning to fade, though gradually. Instead of the musty odor which was beginning to proliferate my bathroom now during these humid summer months, I have a light, refreshing aroma of bleach. The first time you add it, I suggest flush two to three times in 15 - 20 minutes intervals, just to get it into your toilet's water system. *Use only in toilets that you use, especially ones that get a lot of traffic! These are highly corrosive if let to sit too long.* Also do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy the 'Rain Scent' tablets - they are way, way too strong. Just the plain ones, it'll save you lots of headaches. Performance It's not going to get my toilet amazingly shiny brand-new white, but it has gotten it pretty clean all-in-all. We have pretty hard water here in Southern California, but this is lightening up the stains, though it takes a few days for them to completely disappear. Scent It's 100 times better than the Rain Scent tablets. Unless you hate the smell of bleach, don't buy the scented ones - they are sickeningly strong.
