Good all-around
We typically look for reliable toothpastes that are on sale or the best deal. So we end up using several different kinds, but Colgate cavity prevention toothpaste is one of the ones that we use the most. Even when it is not on sale, the 8.2 ounce tubes usually provide the best value for the money (especially if we find them in a package set of two or three tubes). These larger tubes last quite a long time, and even when they are almost empty, they are still pretty easy to squeeze out the last bit that is left in the tube. They seem to do a good job of helping prevent cavities as well. We use a combination of mouth washing and tooth brushing to prevent cavities, so it's hard to say that this is the only thing helping. But it does do a good job of fighting plaque buildup, and we rarely get cavities. The one downside is that it does not always do a good job of killing morning breath or coffee breath. It can give a good, pleasant smell to the breathe in most cases, but if your breathe already smells pretty bad to start with, then you need something else to help other than this.
