Excellent car seat

5

I registered for this car seat and received it as a gift from my grandmother. I orginally wanted it because it is small and can transition with the child. I drive a Ford Escort, so the size of the car seat was a big deciding factor for me. Also, I wanted something that could be used for quite a while. I didn't want to buy an infant car seat and then have to buy another car seat in a few months. This car seat solved both of those issues! We brought our son home from the hospital in it and he seemed to be very comfortable due to the newborn insert that comes with it. Six months later, he is still riding comfortably in it! This is definitely something that we plan to use for a LONG time! Another bonus is it comes in so many different colors! I chose brown and wish I had gone more vibrant. I wanted something that would be gender neutral, but could have achieved that with the other colors as well.

Awesome convertible car seat- perfect for traveling!

5

This car seat is great for newborns and toddlers alike. If you're a traveler, this is an essential piece. It's great to have ONE piece that can transition from the car to an airplane. It's light (just over 12lbs) making it EASY to carry through an airport and it's not bulky so it easily fits in right spaces. Most other car seats weigh at least 26 pounds! Imagine trucking through an airport with a stroller, car seat, infant/toddler, diaper bag, and luggage. At 12 pounds, this isn't tough to carry on your back (they sell carrying cases with shoulder straps) or it can be strapped to luggage. We have a Honda Civic and a Toyota Tacoma with the fold-down half seats and this fits nicely in both. It's easy to install in both and in an airplane seat. We chose not to get an infant bucket style seat because we didn't want to buy two car seats and it worked out nicely for us. We are SO HAPPY we bought this car seat.

The most compact, comfortable, & stylish car seat on the market

I bought this car seat for my third child and I wish I would've known about it when the first two were little also. I did a lot of research to find a car seat that was was affordable without having to compromise quality or design. Although the price was a little higher than what I initially wanted to spend, after trying it out in the store I knew it would be worth the extra money. First of all it is extremely comfortable with a good amount of padding to keep baby supported. I really like how the seat is a little deeper than most and the sides near the head come out a little bit farther. This helps keep the head from falling forward when the child gets older. My four year old complains every time she has to ride in my husband's car (he got a basic, inexpensive seat since he doesn't use it that often) because her head flops forward when she falls asleep! The space design is also great because it doesn't stick out as much as some of the other seats so you still have plenty of room between the backs of the front seats and the car seat itself...the car doesn't feel as crowded. I have had mine for four years now and never had a bit of trouble with it. The fabric (which has taken quite a beating) is still in excellent condition and stains that I didn't think would come out disappear easily in the washing machine. I would definitely purchase this car seat again. Ease of Installation Didn't seem any more complicated than any other seat I have installed before. Child's Comfort See comments in the general review about how comfortable this seat is! Support and Safety Well padded, sturdy, and comes with the latch system straps.

I really love this Coccoro.

I have the Combi Coccoro seat in the dark red color. I bought the seat because we have a Volkswagen Jetta, which is really small, and it is hard to find convertable car seats that fit in in comfortably. We had a Recaro Como in there, and it fit, but was tall, and I kept bumping my toddler's head on the roof of the car when putting her in it. I have loved the Cocorro ever since we installed it. My husband said the installation was very easy too. Right now we have it facing forward with a 26 pound 2.5 year old in it. She seems very comfortable. I think she will reach the height limit before the weight limit (40 lbs) because she is a skinny girl. But we are having another baby who we will be putting into this seat when he outgrows his infant seat. This seat is one of the only ones that will fit in a small car, rear facing behind one of the passenger seats. And you can fit 3 of these seats in the backseat of small cars! No other seat can do that! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the styrofoam under the cover creaks a bit and it makes me worry that it might break one day.

Love Combi!

We bought this car seat for my son when he out grew his infant seat. I am very pleased with this purchase! If you are limited on space, this car seat is the way to go. Installing this seat is relatively simple with seatbelts or latch system. This seat is so light weight and easy to carry. The colors are adorable. You will not be dispointed with this seat! I love it, & baby seems to as well!

Excellent for a small car!

We have a very small car, and had a hard time finding a way to accomidate multiple carseats in it.  Replacing the car was not in the budget, so we turned to the Combi Coccoro, and have been very pleased. It's sturdy, compact and comfortable for baby.  It fits nicely in a small car, both forward and rear facing, and I can put multiple carseats in my car with ease.  I will say it's not easy to install the first time -- certainly take it to a fire station and have someone show you how to get it tightened correctly. The seat, strap covers and infant insert all come off and are washable -- obviously a plus for any carseat.  The color options are really beautiful, and the chestnut compliments my car beautifully.  Its lightweight, which makes it easy to travel with.  The belts are adjustable, but kind of annoying to adjust and get them tight enough -- I have to reach around to the back of the seat occasionally to tighten things up, or else they get to lose.  The weight limits on this carseat are pretty good -- not the best, but pretty good.

Combi Cocorro is well worth the price!

This car seat is great, except for one issue. The issue I had was in the rear facing position, I had a difficult time getting it to stay in the required horizontal position. It wouldn't stay but would flip upwards. I found that rolling a towel up and putting it where the seats meet and the bottom of the car seat would eliminate this issue. I also kneeled in the seat so it was extra tight, and didn't use the anchor latches because it made it worse, so I used the seatbelt, as instructed in the manual. The issue with using the seatbelt is that it made it difficult to put my baby in and out of the car by having to work around the belt in the way. I had a 2005 ford focus at the time I bought this car seat and it was for the reason that the car is small! Forward facing in a different story. The install using the anchor latches is super easy and keeps the seat where you want it and tight. I have it in the Cherry Pie color and it has stood up well to wear and tear over the last 16 months.

Combi Cocorro is a hit!

5

We bought the Combi Cocorro in brown for our twins. We wanted a convertable seat that was going to last us a while and so we didn't have to carry infant carriers around all the time because with 2 babies, how is that even possible without exhausting yourself? The colors are outstanding and so cute compared to some other strollers that come in plain ol' black and grey and brown colors, but at the same time, the colors are soooo light that any child would be able to stain them up very quickly...which is why we bought boring ol' brown. They are very comfortable looking and my babes seem to agree. They never complain when being put in them and fall asleep easily. Aside from being cute, they are also functional. Normal sized baby seats don't fit well in the backseats of our car (a 2007 Hyundai Elantra) so we had to look for some smaller ones, especially since we already had one in a car seat already! These fit perfectly. I guess I wish they were maybe just a *tad* bit smaller so my chair would recline a bit more, but everybody is a safe distance from airbags (and they wouldn't be if we had any other carseat)! They can be a bit tricky learning how to snap the bottom buckles, but now that we use them, I wish ALL carseats were made that way. It also comes with shoulder straps unlike a lot of other carseats that don't. My biggest con about them is the price. For such a small carseat, they have quite a big price.

Love it, soft, cushy, small

Okay, we bought this car seat because it was the only one that was small and able to do the 3 across. We have a Subaru 2006 Tribeca B9 Sports Edition. Its still a small car and small in the back. My son is Rear Facing obviously, hes 7 months old going on 8 months this December 9, 2010. I love it because its cute, different colors, soft, easy to clean and **SO LIGHT WEIGHT**!. It is hard to install because it does move around and you do need to keep doing it until you get a good install that does not move. I dont like the fact it doesnt have a higher weight and height limit, so we would be buying a new car seat to keep him in a convertible and rear facing 5 pt harness as long as possible. It is whats safest right? We do love Combi, they have wonderful products and im sure to pass them along to friends and new moms.

The Combi Cocorro has served us well and will continue to do so

I love The Combi Cocorro conversitble carseat. Right now, my 3 year old is using it and he fits in it fine. It seems to be really comfortable for him and as soon as my youngest is out of his infant carseat, then he will be using the Cocorro. It is very compact. 3 really could fits in the back of a car. The only complain I have is that when my son peed in his seat the pee actually got down into the seats insides and I have to shake it out and try to tip the seat on its side so make sure it all came out.
