I had bought this product because I wanted to be able to straighten and curl my hair at the same time. I have very thick and curly hair and it takes me about a hour to straighten it. I really thought this was the coolest thing until I bought it took it home and used it. My hair just did not want to straighten. I understand I have thick hair but at the same time I am not the only one in the world. I then tried it again after 2 and a half hours I had got my hair as straight as it was going to get. I then tried to put some curls into my hair. One of the biggest mistakes I made. I had burned my hand. After burning my hand half of the straightener stopped working. It hadnt touched water or anything else but my skin. I unplugged it and thought I would let it cool off for a while. I then went back to try it again and when I plugged it in it wasnt working at all. I could not believe how crappy this straightener was made. I have burned my hair on a straightener before and it still had worked fine but not with this one. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you want a great straightener that will last you years buy a Chi. I now have one and have had it for over 7 years. I use it almost every single day. Effectiveness I only used it twice. It took forever for it to straighten my hair and then broke afterwards. Durability This is a poorly made straightener. Broke the second time I used it. Try a Chi!

It's an okay flat iron. But in all fairness I have extremely curly hair. It doesn't get all the kinks out like other straightners do. But on the plus side, I've had it for a few years and it still works. Other flat irons didn't last me this long. Effectiveness It doesn't straighten my hair very well. It doesn't bring out all my curls when I decide to go straight. So I just use it for my bangs. Other flat irons work better at fixing my hair than this one does. Some of the time it won't even straighten my bangs and thats not a lot of hair. Maybe it was made for straight haired people to use. Maybe my hair is too thick and too curly for it. That's why I would recommend it to straight, thin haired people. Durability It does last a long time. I've had mine for like five years or so and it still works. So even though it's not the best at straighting my hair like other brands it does last longer than them. Other brands (some more expensive) have broken on me in a short amount of time, while this one has lasted me to this day.

I got the Conair Infiniti You Style Multi-Functional Styling Iron as a Christmas present and even though the thought was nice, this is not.  It could be because I have long hair, but it does not work for me.  I tried using the curling part of this iron and it did not curl my hair at all.  It straightened more than anything and it wasn't supposed to.  The curling part gave my hair wave at the tips and the rest was straight.  It gives very poor performance.  I followed the guide for the curling part step by step too.  It does not really smooth the hair either because my hair kept it's thickness. My hair was still a little frizzy.  It does not make your hair soft or shiny.  For all the hype this product has you think it would be great, but it is not.  This is the worst styling tool I have ever used.  The only thing I am glad about is that I did not pay for it.  Don't waste your money on this.

I have fine hair and it doesn't hold a curl very easily. But I have found that the Conair Infiniti You Style does a nice job of curling so that my hair holds it. I originally bought this mostly as a flat iron, and I thought, well - it will be nice to have the curling part for the ends (to curl under). And while that is mostly how I use it, I do occasionally experiment with curling it more and have good results. There is a DVD with the product that shows you how to use it, but for convenience you can also search YouTube for videos on how to get the most out of this styling iron. Or you can just experiment! Besides its styling effectiveness, I really like how quickly this heats up and how easy it is to store it or pack it if I'm traveling. I also like how the ends are flat to make it easy to hold as you use it to curl. I am not super coordinated but I have never burned myself with the You Style. The You Style is more expensive than either a basic flat iron or curling iron, but you can find deals on it from time to time (I got mine at Rite Aid for less than half the regular price!). It's worth the extra cost even if you don't get it on sale.

I love this thing. It fits in my purse, and it straightens just as well as it curls. Its the best curling iron i've ever had, very very neat curl. Looking at it i thought i'd only be able to use it as a straightener but OMG, i can do both! and carry it everywhere!

I have had the Infinity by Conair Multi-Funtional Styling Tool for several months now and I just LOVE it.  It can straighten or curl depending on your mood!  It comes with a DVD showing how to use it but I never watched it so it did take me awhile to figure out how to make it work for me.  Now that I have gotten the hang of it, it is super fast and easy to use.  Just take about an inch of hair and slide the hair into the tool with the curved iron facing your scalp.  Turn the iron 180 degrees, till the curved iron faces the ground and slowly glide down to the ends of your hair.  You will get a perfect wave every time.  It has several heat settings and I've found that the low setting works best for curls, even though I usually use the highest heat setting on my traditional curling iron and straighteners.  I've also used it to put a bit of a curl at the ends of my straightened hair.  I would buy this tool again and again.  It has made curly styles about 4 times faster that with a traditional curling iron.  It does cost a bit more that a regular straightener or curling iron but it is well worth the money.

I was contemplating whether I needed a hair straightener more or a curling iron more, but to my discovery, I could get it for the price of one! I am very happy that I purchased this product as it has stood up to it's standards. It tells us that it can do a good job curling and a good job straightening. The heat setting and the on/off switch is very convenient and it heats up in seconds! I am always in a hurry and this works out for me. The curls I have made aren't super tight but they still hold in pretty well throughout the day/evening. The straightener really straightens curly hair I can say. The only thing Is that you shouldn't use it right after you shower and blow dry your hair, because it squeezes out all the water in your hair, leaving the iron in drops of water from the evaporation.

This product is so convenient, I mean why would you pay separate for a straightener and then another separate for the curling iron. It's great for one of those days where you can't decide which hair style you want that day. The straightener is amazing. My hair will be a frizzy, puffed out, oily mess and this straightener will save it. I will wake up in the morning and in less than a hour my hair is straight. This product is great if you have thick, long hair like mine. Before this straightener I was spending a good hour getting straightening my hair and honestly is wasn't even that well, it would puff out and frizz up by the middle of the day. This straightener is the complete opposite. The heat is so great how it straightens the hair perfectly. And my hair won't frizz up and become a mess, it will stay straight even after sleeping on it. I don't think I will ever need to buy another straightener again. The curling iron is great too. But I am not the best at curling hair, so when I do it myself it doesn't work, but my friend used it to curl my hair and it worked great, my hair stay curled the entire evening. Buy this product, it's inexpensive and great.

This straightner doubles as a curler too! It heats up in 30 seconds. It doesn't cost too much and it works better or as well as expensive high-end straightners. It has 3 heat settings, low, medium, and high. Its a great deal for your money.
