Once I purchased the Craftsman 16GA Magnesium Straight Finish Nailer I haven't used a hammer. I have used this gun to put up new trim around doorways and borders along the wall. This gun is extremely light and very accurate at driving nails. I have held this gun overhead in many positions without leverage and drove a nail through a piece of wood in the precise spot. When I pull the trigger the gun makes very little noise, but has noticeable recoil action. I have went through an entire magazine of nails and this nail gun hasn't jammed once. The safety pressure tip is a nice feature that I have taken advantage of on a couple of occasions. This gun will not dispense a nail unless the tip makes significant contact with an object. My only issue with this gun is that the rubber grip leaves behind a black residue on my hands. It's not a big deal because it comes off with a little warm water, but I'm starting to notice a slight loss in grip over time. I would definitely recommend the Craftsman 16GA Magnesium Straight Finish Nailer because its light, powerful, and efficient.

We bought The Craftsman 16 gauge magnesium Finish Nailer about a year ago when we were making extensive repairs to our home. Rather than having to nail each nail into the woodwork and sheet rock, we thought this would be a better option and it sure was. It can use nails any size from from ¾" to 2 ½" long. It has a magnesium body to withstand lots of use and it also has a rubber grip handle which is much easier on your hands than a metal handle. You can use just one or two nails for a small project or load a lot of them into the magazine for large jobs where you need a a lot so you do not have to keep loading them in. Large capacity, end loading magazine with positive, quick action latch makes loading easy. It also has a safety feature so that it will not work unless you actually push it against the wood you are working on so it safeguards against accidents. It also has an air exhaust which is adjustable as well. This finish nailer is great for interior and exterior projects and if you are a handyman, you will find this to be invaluable. It is also great for a workshop for projects building furniture. I recommend this finish nailer and as it is made by Craftsman, you know that you are getting an exceptionally well built tool.

This tool is very useful for me. I bought this only because it was on sale having no idea what it would be capable of or how useful it would be. You know when your trying to nail a crown molding into it's place and the corner is so tight and at an angle, it makes it next to difficult to nail with a hammer without bending the nail or missing the nail altogether! With the Craftsman 16GA MAGNESIUM STRAIGHT FINISH NAILER, it is a BREEZE! Only one person needed to do all the crown molding you need to get done with no stress or anxiety issues.

I bought this for my husband the construction worker to make his job a bit easier. I picked this one , well because frankly it was a Craftsman brand. It never let us down. What an awesome value. Of course it comes with the Craftsman warranty that cannot be beat by any others. My husband has replace the floors in my house using this gun. He also put up new siding and applied a new roof. That is just the home improvements he has used it for. He put up our wood privacy fence using this also. This makes the job easier, and it is done in a flash. It is easy to use and durable. My husband dropped it off our roof. It still worked and did not have a dent in it. It is used all of the time and still works perfectly. Our neighbors borrow it all of the time when they are facing a job that needs done quickly. Whether you are a professional or a layman , this nail gun is perfect for your needs.
