I bought this toaster because it's big but not too big for me, who lives alone. I can heat up leftovers or bake or broil something raw and make myself a complete dinner. The inside is tall enough that I can put a pan inside without touching the toaster's ceiling. I also liked that it has buttons instead of knobs - I feel like that makes it look like a more modern and up-to-date model. It also has a defrost option but I've never used that. Even Heating It's easy to test this with toast and my toast slices are all the same color. When I heat up food, once it's all heated through it's all the same temperature all around. It just takes more time to get there than a microwave would, which is expected. Safety As with any toaster, you need to standby and make sure you don't leave your food in there for too long; otherwise it'll burn. You also need to remember to shut off the toaster oven, unlike my mother one time - luckily she didn't burn the house down but her toaster oven was toast (no pun intended). Ease of Cleaning My least favorite part about using my toaster (and my oven) is the cleaning - all the crumbs (even with the crumb tray - and the spills from the grill to the bottom and on the grill itself. There's nothing good or bad about the ease of cleaning this toaster - it's pretty standard with other toasters I've had or used. Durability Mine doesn't look brand new anymore - not as shiny and clean - but so far (3 years) it's still functioning the same way, with no degradation in performance. Design I think the design is different and somewhat modern looking, which is what I like and one of the reasons why I bought this model. I like that it has a digital display instead of knows and a tray for the crumbs and that you can change the level of the rack, just like in your oven.

We waited a long time to get a toaster oven because we wanted something good and this toaster is it! We love reheating food and of course toasting in the Cuisinart. It makes pizza perfectly crispy how we like it and it melts cheese very evenly. It takes some getting used to the toast settings to get your toast just how you like it, but the buttons are very clear and easy. There's basically no learning curve. We also like how versatile the oven is so we can use it for baking when we're entertaining. There is a tray in the bottom for easy cleaning of crumbs, which is nice. Be careful with the door though, the first thing I did was burn myself.

we use this to quickly roast vegetables, brown frozen pizza and have used it for fish and meat as well. It works great, looks great and does not take up much shelf space. We do not use it for toast or for broiling. Even Heating for what we are using it is fine Safety Other reviews have pointed out that the oven does not shut down if it is cooking on a timer. We do not use that feature. Consumers should not turn the timer on and leave the area Durability it's been fine so far Design I consider safety issues to be a design flaw.

The Cuisinart TOB-155 is a quality toaster oven. Others have called it boxy looking, but I find it very classy looking. I have made entire meals for 2 people in this oven, and it has consistently pleased me. I am not thrilled with it's toaster feature and this is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. I have to keep changing the setting depending on what kind of bread I am toasting. If I set it on 5 for a hearty bread and forget to change the setting, it burns my flat bread to a crisp. I never had this problem with other toaster ovens I have owned. However, this is not that big a problem when I consider how well it bakes. I hardly ever use my big over any more since I bought my Cuisinart. It is even wonderful for making quick breads and pies. The size is nice and big, too. I can put an entire pizza in it! I highly recommend this item, just keep an eye on your toast! Even Heating I still love this toaster oven but, I have found that it does not toast bread evenly. The bottom of the bread is general darker than the top of the bread. Making meals in it however, is not a problem; it seems to heat evenly for everything but the toast. Unless you are a toast connoisseur, this isn't a big deal. Safety I have not had any safety issues with this item since I bought it. Ease of Cleaning The Cuisinart toaster oven is easier to clean than any other toaster oven I had owned. Every toaster oven has an issue with keeping the glass door clean, and there are always a few crumbs stuck where the door meets the oven. I like the crumb catcher underneath the unit. You can just slide it out from the back and empty the crumbs into the trash. It can then be cleaned in the sink or go right into the dishwasher. Durability No problem so far. Very durable and sturdy. Design Again, some people think that this toaster oven is too boxy, but I love the design. It is very retro looking, and that is so in right now.

This toaster has made things in the kitchen much simpler (is that a word) when things are busy. I normally use this toaster oven everyday for normal things such as toast, bagels, pop tarts, frozen waffles and toaster struedel.  I like that I can fit four slices in at a time with no problem fitting them.  The buttons are easy to use and helps me customize the doneness for each person I'm cooking for as some like theirs a little more crunchy.  This summer my oven broke and it was interesting to see how much I relied on it.  While I was waiting to get it fixed, I found that the oven section on my toaster oven performed well for me. I cooked smaller frozen pizzas, frozen taquitos/burritos, frozen chicken bites and even Kids Cuisines with no problem.  i love that the tray pulls out on the bottom for easy cleaning and then I just wipe the inside of the oven door. I also like that the kids can use it with ease.
