I loved this coffee maker and used it for a few years with no issues. One of the biggest pluses was the wire mesh filter. I didn't have to use paper filters any more. Other than that, the coffee was great and the timer worked perfectly. I'm writing this in past tense since my husband decided he wanted to try another brand of coffee maker, which I now love. However, I would have kept this one until it died. I love to mix a bit of flavored coffee into my regular grind. This coffee maker worked perfectly for that. Brew Performance It brewed perfectly every time. I never had any issues with it leaking or stopping mid-brew as I did with other machines. Ease of Cleaning The outside was easy to wipe clean. I just used a damp cloth. The glass carafe and filter were easy as well. They could both be cleaned with soap and water or placed in the dishwasher. Ease of Use Fill the water reservoir; fill the coffee filter; set the timer and there's fresh brewed coffee waiting in the morning. Design I loved the clean modern look of the coffee pot. I would have kept it forever--very sleek. Durability It just kept working--brewing great coffee.

I have had this coffeemaker for 6 years and it's still as awesome as the day as I first purchased it. Brew Performance Excellent coffee, cup after cup, pot after pot, day after day, year after year. Every since person that has a cup of coffee out of our machine wants to know what we do to make it so delicious. We just look at each other and laugh. It's just the machine, really. Ease of Cleaning easy to wipe down and clean out with vinegar and water. Ease of Use so easy as kid could do it. We don't use the programmable features so I can't tell you how easy or hard that is. Design Very sleek, chrome and black fits in well with most kitchen designs, Durability I actually have two. One in our summer home and one in our regular home. We've had them both for over six years and they are still going strong. Highly recommended. We have actually take the machine with us on vacation. We love our coffee in the morning and if we are driving somewhere we put the machine in the car with us so we don't have to get up in the morning and run out and get coffee.

For a basic, no-frills coffeemaker, we are very pleased with our cuisinart brew central 12 cup programmable coffeemaker. This coffeemaker is very easy to use, easy to clean, and consistently brews a great cup of coffee. While we opt not to use the programmable function, I know this is a great option for those who like to wake up to a brewed pot of coffee immediately. We also like that the coffeemaker is very quiet and makes no obtrusive noises while brewing. We have used this coffeemaker for a few years now, and have had no issues and no leaks. The glass carafe is very durable as well. It's a well made and reasonably priced appliance for any kitchen!

I got this coffeemaker as a wedding gift 3 years ago... and I thought since it was a lot more expensive than my Mr. Coffee from college that it would be far superior. Well, it did brew up a pretty great cup of coffee. And it was nice that it was programmable and all that. But I didn't realize that it took paper coffee filters in addition to the wire filter cone that is in there. The cone looks like it is self-sufficient, but it's not. After a year of not using a filter, the machine started acting up, takng forever to brew, and leaking all over the counter top. Produced grainy, watery coffee. THank goodness the store exchanged it for another one. I know it was my fault but didn't think it was clear enough that it needed a paper filter in addition to the design of a wire filter. Just my 2 cents.

When I first bought this coffeemaker I thought it was great,after a few weeks of use I come to realize it was not so great. For some reason it started leaking, water all over the counter every morning. First I thought I was spilling when pouring water in, this was not so. I bought another of the same kind at a sale and same thing again, I ended up throwing out two of these coffee makers and will not ever buy again.I would not recommend this to anyone. Durability Leaks water.

I've had this coffee maker for a year now, and, while it has held up well enough, no matter which brand of coffee I use, it makes them all taste bitter. It has a very loud beep/alarm that goes off at the end of the brew cycle and again when the machine turns off. It is a nice feature, but the sound is too similar to the smoke detector and often startles us (it is loud), even after hearing it for a year.

Hubby is the coffee-drinker, and so far so good for the past year. He uses it almost everyday and makes a large pot of coffee and hasn't complained about anything with regard to taste, etc. He likes the ability to program it so it will be ready when he wakes up, but the setup isn't entirely intuitive. The reusable mesh basket is nice - no filters to remember to buy. The reservoir is somewhat small/awkward to get to, and the top of the carafe would be better if it flipped on a hinge. Instead, it "snaps" on and off, which is kind of a pain. Overall, decent for the price, especially on sale and with a rebate.

looks great, seemed durable and had a five year warranty how can you go wrong until.....it stops working after about 1 year maybe a year and a half of daily use the sensor stopped heating it started shutting itself off, oh and they didnt honor their warranty they just told me how to clean it( which i did all the time)and totally danced all around offering me a replacement basically if you cant prove that you cleaned it and changed the filters your not going to get a replacement so i will base the review on how it was before it stopped working Brew Performance brewed great until it didnt Ease of Cleaning coffeemaker resiviors are hard to clean anyway no different than any other Ease of Use never had any problems understanding how to use it Design maybe a tad bulkie but overall ok Durability the glass seemed sturdier than other coffee pots it never broke but, the problem i guess is that even with regular cleaning and replacing those charcoal filters the machines sensor got screwed up and it wouldnt heat or brew right
