For coffee lovers

Not the top end coffee maker but does a great job. We have been using ours faithfully for 4 years and have never had a problem with it Brew Performance It brews quickly, quietly and keeps coffee hot after it is brewed without burning it. Ease of Cleaning I think this coffee maker is easier to clean than some of the others we have had. I like how simply it comes apart to clean. I have never had a problem with it getting clean Ease of Use Put coffee in the night before or first thing in the morning, turn it on and in minutes you have a full pot of coffee ready for use. My husband drinks almost a whole pot himself so this is an important factor Design It is cute, not to flashy, blends in with our kitchen appliances and is easy to move from one place to another if necessary Durability As I said, We have had it for 4 years and have not had an issue with it yet. It brews consistnetly and effeciently.

This is a coffee-lover's coffee pot. After a few years of using the economy model Mr. Coffee we got as a wedding present, it was time to upgrade. The Mr. Coffee dripped and its carafes kept breaking, so we needed cleanliness and durability. We found those features, and a lot more, in this Cuisinart model. Its stainless steel vacuum carafe is really solid and doesn't drip when pouring. It stays cool to the touch outside, but keeps the coffee inside hot for hours. Any serious coffee drinker will appreciate this because the flavor changes (usually gets more bitter) as coffee cools. One neat feature on the Cuisinart is the "1-4 Cup" function that makes sure even small pots are brewed correctly. In most brewers, the first spurts of water to hit the grounds aren't fully heated to the correct temperature. I don't pretend to be able to taste a difference, but it's great that Cuisinart took the time to make sure that any size batch would be brewed properly. A drawback about the brewer is its water reservoir levels are hard to read. They're tucked into the back of the unit and need direct light to see where the water level is. A side-view gauge would be a huge improvement. There isn't much else that we dislike about the pot though. On top of the thermal and brewing features I already mentioned, its cone filters are an easy size to find, it brews even a 10-cup pot quickly, and it looks really attractive on our countertop. I definitely recommend it.

Not worth the money.

The Cuisinart 12-Cup Brew Central Thermal Coffemaker is definitely not worth the price.  It does not keep the coffee hot once it is made even though it claims to "keep it hot for hours."  I like my old Krups better.
