This toaster has become the topic of conversation in our kitchen. It is extremely nice looking. It lowers and raises the toast with the touch of a botton. We have owned this toaster for a little over two years. Originally bought because the opening is very wide and long. The size of our bread changes because I make home made bread and it rises at different heights and widths. This toaster is perfect for that. With the "regular" store bought brands you can fit 2 slices at a time, however with larger multi grain breads, you can only toast 1 at a time. Very nice looking and easy to use. You can make perfect toast due to the numeric settings. Also has settings for bagels and frozen pastries. Safety As with any electric appliance there is always a risk of shock. Not made for infant and toddler use. Ease of Cleaning As with any toaster, I have never been abel to get all the crumbs out. It's almost as if they glue themselves in. It does have an easy tray at the bottom which can be emptied. It appears the bottom does come off however I would not want to risk ruining any of the electronics in the unit. Design We have a great room where the kitchen is viewed from the dinning and living areas. It does have an appealing, sleek design.
