This is the coffee maker I use when staying my my parent's house. We make coffee every morning for 2-4 people, depending on who is around in the morning. Typically we set up the grinds and water in the morning, just before we plan to consume the coffee with our breakfast. The pot does have a function that allows the user to set up the coffee and then "delay brew" for a later time so that the coffee could be ready before you even get out of bed. The maker brews the amount of coffee you have set up, a minimal amount of water is lost to condensation within the water chamber. The warmer keeps the coffee warm all morning at a steady temperature. Two hours after brewing, the coffee pot will automatically shut off - a wonderful safety feature. The cost of the coffee pot was better than other products at the department store. I have been very happy using this machine when making more than a single cup of coffee.
