I have owned numerous coffee makers and grinders. I have found that Cuisinart makes the best product on the market today. When my previous Cuisinart wore out I would only replace it with another Cuisinart. I went to four different stores before I found one that carried the Cuisinart brand. Often with other brands that have a pause feature, the machine would not completely stop dripping when I pulled out the carafe which caused the warming element to wear out before the rest of the machine. With this machine I have never experienced that problem. I especially appreciate the burr grinder feature included in this machine. I already owned a burr grinder and liked the conveniences of having the 'all in one' option. As I said before, I have owned a lot of coffee makers and with every one of them there was a small issue that would lead me to replace the worn out machine with a different brand. I will continue to own only Cuisinart  brand coffee makers and grinders.
