I purchased this crib for my 20 month old son when his younger brother was born and we needed a second crib.  The wood is nice and the crib seems to be very sturdy.  I like that there is no drop side, so I don't have to worry about the suffocation hazards that have been found with drop side cribs.  When the mattress is on its lowest setting, it is pretty close to the ground.  This doesn't leave much room for storage underneath, but it allows the railing to be down lower, which makes it easier for me to get my son in and out of the crib.  I always found it difficult to get a sleeping baby into the other crib I have because the railing is so high up, but that's not a problem with this crib. The changing table is nice when you have a smaller baby, but really not practical for a toddler.  At 20 months my son was already much too long to fit comfortably on the changing table.  I did appreciate having the shelves for storage, though.  I also liked the hamper and used that for my son's dirty clothes.  Just be careful if you are storing diapers in the shelf above the hamper.  I had a (clean) diaper slip in with my son's dirty laundry once and it created a HUGE mess in the washing machine.

We bought this crib in anticipation of the birth of our second daughter this fall. This crib is very sturdy, and has lots of great features. The integrated changing table makes this a great piece for a smaller room, eliminating the need for an extra piece of furniture. It also provides extra storage, with shelves and a roll-out hamper (if you don't want to use the hamper, you can use shelves (which are included) in the space instead. It also came with a trundle drawer. The drawer is uncovered, so you either have to keep it neat or cover it up with a crib skirt, but the storage is nice. Knowing that this crib will be able to be used for years is great - it becomes a toddler/day bed and a full size bed frame later.  Most of the main pieces of the crib are hardwood, but a few (like the shelves and parts of the drawer, etc.) are laminated mdf. It went together well, taking two people about an afternoon to do. Word of caution, though - most of the pieces were unmarked, and it would have been easy to put together incorrectly if not paying close attention to the illustrations on directions and the fit of pieces. I do wish that the changing pad was a little thicker and softer, but am planning to make a cover for it. I can't wait to see our little girl in this crib!
