Being that this is a Dirt Devil I had much higher expectations but have been truly disappointed. At first this vacuum worked like a cyclone. I was happy, it is light weight, no bag to deal with and have to find and buy. Of course not to long I found that it started to lose "power". It loses suction over time and you just end up pushing dust and dirt everywhere, The filter is difficult to clean and clogs easily. Also the bend in the suction tube at the bottom easily clogs and is not easy to get into and clean out when it does. At this time it more or less sits in the corner of the room and has been a clothes hanger for us, it's done a great job at that, too bad that's not what I bought it for or maybe I wouldn't be so disappointed. Maneuverability Light weight and small so it is fairly easy to maneuver about. Ease of Maintenance You spend more time and effort cleaning the filters and clogs out of the suction tube than you do vacuuming. Suction Performance You better plan on going around your floor picking up everything that is larger than dust as the suction on this product not very good. This leads to things getting stuck in bends in the tubing and adding to the suction issue Versatility It's a vacuum with a few added tools, it's really no different than any other vacuum. Design This vacuum has a thin body, foot control tilt and easy to access on the handle on off switch but that is where it ends for the good. The bends in the suction line make it prone to clogs, and the canister is difficult to put back in once it is removed. Durability Unfortunately this does not make the grade for durability. At first it seems that it has great suction but over very little time this is not the case. Clogs over heat this vacuum before you realize it and it shuts down.

I purchased the Dirt Devil Extreme Quick Vac several years ago to replace an old bag style vacuum and I'm glad I made that decision. I really like that I no longer have to use a vacuum bag. The downside to this vacuum is that it isn't as strong as my old vacuum. This causes me to go over a particular item or area more than once. This isn't the worst thing, but if time is of the essence than it can become a problem. Also, some areas or spots are impossible to reach based on the design so the hose has to be used. The hose does an excellent job reaching narrow spots and thoroughly cleans carpet to the point it looks brand new. I can vacuum several rooms in my house for a couple of weeks before the container gets full. The one thing I noticed about this product is that sometimes the vacuum stops spinning so it doesn't pick up dirt even if it isn't full. All you have to do is remove the filter, place back the filter, and it should start spinning again. I would definitely recommend the Dirt Devil Extreme Quick Vac to any one looking for a good bag less vacuum at a decent price.

This vacuum does what a vacuum should, but it doesn't have the ease of some of the other vacuums on the market. It does a good job of getting all the dirt and debris out of my carpets- from the plush, shaggy carpet to the short stubby carpet. I definitely would give it high marks for that. Also, emptying the canister and changing the filter are pretty convenient. The only thing that kept this from going to a 5 is that I do find it difficult to maneuver at times, especially when I have to make turns.

Used to own a Bissell that was given to me as a gift. I had it for 6 years and did my best to take care of it, but it finally gave out. I got a catalog in the mail and it had this Dirt Devil Quick Vac. I ordered it and got it in the mail within a week. Got it out of the box and assembled it with no issues. Vacuumed my apartment and dang I was impressed! It really sucks up the dirt!! At points I had to pull it off the rug it was so strong. Very impressed with it!!

I like it a lot good price, I only have carpeting in few rooms and its right size for me. It does need to have canister emptied every few minutes depending on how big area and how messy it is. You dump it in trash can and it may bother you if your allergic to dust. I like to suck up creepy spiders, quite a few here, use detachable side hose so its at a distance. The hose is good on sofa for cat or dog hair too. :) Ease of Maintenance Its easy to use and you just shake it over a trash can. Canister gets clogged sometimes use something long like a chopstick to help dislodge it. Also if doesn't have good suction check bottom of and side hose to see if there's a clog there too. Something long will help pull out stuff. :) Suction Performance It gets clogged up some so it needs to be cleaned out if its not using good suction. Check canister, bottom, and side hose for blockage. :) Durability It has lasted longer than my other bagged vacume cleaners. I like it if you pick up small childs toys and things before you vacume that's good. I had a relative that broke an expensive one, she borrowed it from her mother and didn't pick up lego's and toys and it broke and didn't replace it either also good not to loan out nice ones too. ;)

We have vacation rental cabins and we use these Dirt Devil bagless vacuums in our cabins. They navigate easily and are lightweight.  We have had the same vacuum for over 7 years and its still going strong.  We clean the cabins sometimes everyday depending on when guests leave so I would say these vacuums get used more than the average homeowner would use them. It is very convenient that they are bagless as well.  Empty the canister and you are ready to keep cleaning.  I also really appreciate that they are lightweight.  It is hard enough to clean frequently let along push around a heavy vacuum, so these are ideal for businesses.  We have three cabins and they all use the Dirt Devil.  Also, it has an easy to attatch straight tube for doing along the walls or under furniture.  We will always use the Dirt Devil extreme quick vacuum for our business and I would highly reccommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable cleaner.

what i love about this vacuume cleaner, is how great it works.  i mean it's really great.  cleans like you mean it, everytime and cost very little to opperate, because you have no bag expenses.  however, it's HEAVY.  it's BULKY.  it's COMPLICATED.  i read the manual three times to assemble it, and twice more to figure out how to use it.  it's innovative design is unlike any vacuume i've used before, and that makes it complicated for me.  whane it's time to vacuume my floors, i groan and avoid the task because this machine is difficult to manage, however, once i'm done, my carpets look amazing, and the canister has things in it that i didn't know was ever on my floor in the first place.  my carpets litterally look and smell like new, without steam cleaning, soaping and drying time.  if only it were 3 pounds lighter, 4 inches slimmer, and fit under my furnature better, this thing would be the greatest ever.

This vacuum works great for a little while. If you have pets or long hair, make sure to clean the brush after each use. If not, it will not work. It dosen't take much to get the brushes in a bind. I like the idea of just emptying a bag. I also like being able to see what is being picked up. If I don't see much dirt, that tells me that the thing isn't working. It can be a hassle removing the bag, so I always take it outside. It gets dusty and kicks my allergies into high gear. You may want to wear a mask when doing that. I started putting some water in the canister so it wouldn't be flying all over the place when I open it up. One great thing about this is that he is so light, and easy to push. It makes vacuuming less of a chore. I hate the vacuums that require you to actually PUSH it. This one glides right along. The cord is long enough, so that you can vacuum a fairly large room without having to unplug, and stick in a closer outlet. Yes, that can be annoying.

I remember having one of those little pretend vacuums growing up; whenever I played house, I'd have on my little apron, duster in one hand, and pushing the vacuum around with the other, pretending to clean the house just like mom.  That little vacuum seemed so real back then.  Unfortunately, I foolishly purchased that same pretend vacuum I used to play with as a child, only I thought that I had purchased the adult version. The Dirt Devil Extreme Quick Vac resembles that exact same cute, pretend vacuum that I used to think was so real when I was little and has all the same features.  It's a compact, lightweight, bag-less vac that doesn't pick up much of anything.  I find myself going back over the same spot countless times because the vacuum shoots the dirt and clumps of dust right back onto the carpet.  This vacuum is useless and a complete waste of money.  When it comes to the Dirt Devil Extreme Quick Vac, the only thing this vacuum sucks up is your money.

This vacuum broke a year to the date it was purchased. It has I believe four filters to clean and believe me you will be cleaning them more then vacuuming. It only picks up well the first ten times after that unless you clean the filters daily it hardly picks anything up. The motor blew on and black smoke came streaming out. The vacuum was a pain from about the tenth day. When it burnt up I said you have got to be kidding me! I had to buy another one. They are not cheap and are high maintance. This vacuum is not worth buying. Also it never picks up as good as it did the first couple of times. The company should lower the prices, then sell them as disposable vacuums. Another thing was it had a setting for bare floor, all that did was shoot the stuff out of the back of the vacuum. It really was nasty having things shooting all over my feet.  Also the color is horrible, I mean really what were they thinking, maybe they werent thinking at all.
