I TRIED THEM ALL, DOVE IS THE BEST. TO HAVE THE FULL EFFECT THERE IS A TRICK, I REALIZED IF I APPLY RIGHT AFTER A SHOWER IT DOESN'T WORK AS WELL, BUT IF I WAIT A FEW HOURS THERE IT IS , DRY FAST,THE RESULT IS GREAT, MY PROBLEM CAN'T FIND IT IN CANADA ANYMORE, GOING TO BUFFALO TO GET SOME.

I've had a fairly good track record with Dove products so I decided to give their Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer and Self Tanning Lotion a try. I barely got past the annoying flip top bottle to use it. It's oddly shaped with an annoying to open top. The bottle itself is very difficult to hold once you have lotion on your hands and it slips right out of your hands which is incredibly annoying. After I did wrangle the bottle into submission I slathered it on my legs and rubbed it in thoroughly. It took several hours for the color to develop and when it did I was thankful that I had applied it as a test during the winter so I could keep all test parts covered. I had Oompa Loompa legs. Not subtle, and certainly not gradual, but full on Oompa Loompa in a matter of hours. The only "good" news is that this does stay... and stay... and stay. Even with daily showering with a shower pouf it still took over a week for my legs to fully return to their original color. So, if you are looking for a deep orange look that lasts a long time this is a good option.

Dove is a great brand that I trust with most of my beauty products. I decided to try this Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer and Self Tanning Lotion because I figured I would get the same quality in this product as most other Dove products. This one fell short of the expectations. It was just mediocre. It gave a little bit of color, but it seemed to wear off before the end of the day. Either it wore off or it was so light I forgot that it was even there. It was a pretty good lotion, but nothing extraordinary. I just expected more from Dove and to be honest I probably will not buy this product again. Ease of Application It was very easy to apply. It was light and airy and did not make me feel like I was covered in a blanket which is a huge plus especially during the hot summer months when you are outside in the heat a lot. Scent The scent was not too bad, but it was not the greatest either. Longevity It felt like it wore off after a few hours and definitely by the end of the day.

I really love this product, a self tanner with moisturizer is awesome. I work a lot of long hours during the day and do not have much chance to enjoy the sun to tan. Useing this product I started to achieve results in just a few days. It did not turn my skin that fake orange y color, but provided a real brown even tan. It has a very pleasant smell and is really easy to apply. Plus with the moisturizer you not only get a beautiful tan but super soft skin as well. I use this product fairly often and I have even got compliments on my tan after using Dove Energy glow tanning moisturizer. I have also not had any problems with this rubbing off or staining clothing, I have had that issue with other self tanners in the past. I really haven't experienced any problems at all so far in using this product, it works great. I really enjoy the tan and softness of my skin I recieve when using this product.

I have used Dove products for many years and they have never disappointed me before. They always deliver on their promise which was the reason why I got the Dove energy glow daily moisturizer and self tanning lotion when I wanted a new tanning lotion to try. I like the lotion because it combines two important things in one; it is a moisturizer and a tanning lotion in one. I use it during the summer period and like the name says, it just makes my skin glow day in day out. It is not greasy and chunky and it spreads smoothly and evenly whenever I use it. It smells so good am always inhaling the fragrance whenever I have it on. The best part of the lotion is that it gives a very consistent and beautiful tanned skin that you will be proud to show off. Overall it is a very good and effective product and if you are looking for a new tanning lotion, then you should give this product a try.

I have always really enjoyed Dove products, but this one is an exception to that rule. I was disappointed that this product did not seem to darken my skin at all. It also did not really moisturize as well as other Dove lotions that I have used. I was upset because I paid more money than I usually pay for my regular Dove lotion to buy this product. I used it for about a month and still did not see a huge difference in the color of my skin. I wish that this lotion had worked better. I really want to see my skin looking sun kissed for summer! I would not recommend this lotion, simply because it does not work well. Effectiveness This lotion is not effective at all. It does not moisturize very well nor does it darken my skin very well. My skin tone stayed about the same even after a month of using this product. Scent The scent is the best part of this lotion. I really liked it. It was subtle and nice, without being overwhelming.

This was the first sun tanning lotion I tried. It was easy to apply & felt good going on. No issues there. It even smelled fine {like a typical lotion smell}. The problem came on when I started seeing the way it colored my skin. While it did great on large areas, any place with crevices or more wrinkles, it looked very yellow. Such as in between fingers & toes & on knee caps & feet. So while it looked great at first thought, by the time I finished applying it & it had dried,I. Was very I pleased with the results. It looked like certain areas were super yellow. Definitely not natural or even looking! Since then I've tried several sun tanning lotions & while I've run across others with similar issues, this by far was the worst. Maybe because it's a cheaper brand, but I m not sure. Anyhow, long sorry short, I wouldn't recommend this sun tanning lotion if you want your tan to have a natural, normal color look.

I have always bought Dove products in the past! Anything from bar soap to shampoo and conditioner but the lotion has always been a favorite, but when I truer this self tanning lotion I was slightly disappointed, Effectiveness Though it did moisturizer like any dove product I have used in the past it was not as thick or creamy as I expected. Ease of Application I ended up with big orange patches everywhere on me on my knees folds of my arms and the self tanner rubbed off on my clothes as well! Scent It's isn't smell as good as regular Dove products in fact it had kind of a chemical musky smell! Especially now I've had it for a few weeks and my daughter was going to try it and did not because of the smell! Longevity The dark orange patches stayed visible long after the lighter color orange patches disappeared! It rubbed off on my clothes for days and even ruined two of my favorite shirts I would not recommend this product as a self tanning alternative which is way out of character for any other Dove product that I have used!

I've rarely tried a Dove product I didn't like. I tried Dove Energy Glow lotion because I wanted something for spring so that I didn't look quite so pasty. It worked pretty well (better than any other brand I've tried), but I didn't fall in love with it. Effectiveness If you want to actually look like you have a tan, then don't use this product. It's very lightly pigmented and does not look like a tan at all. For me, it just keeps the pastiness away. I'm pretty fair-skinned, and I wanted to use it on my legs (which rarely see the sun anyway) just to keep them from being ghost white. It's more of a light tint, a bit like the difference between tinted moisturizer and foundation. Ease of Application This lotion does go on very easily. Some of the others are too thick and go on splotchy, but the Dove lotion is a good consistency, and it's easy to get it even. But I would stay away from elbows or really dry areas. It does flake up a bit on dry skin. Scent The scent is great. Light enough that you aren't overwhelmed by it. Longevity Any tint that you see is gone as soon as you shower. And by the end of the day, I can sometimes tell that it has faded as well.

I had a friend who was raving about the Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer and Self Tanning lotion. She looked like a nice healthy tan color, so I figured I would give it a try next time it was on sale or I had a coupon, as it tends to be a little pricey. It goes on nice and evenly, and has a decent scent to it. A little too flowery for me, but not too overwhelming. I made sure I washed my hands immediately after applying, and repeated the process every day for a few days. After about 2 or 3 days I started to notice that it was actually making a small difference. I had a little color to me instead of being winter pasty white. It was a nice subtle color and not orange-ish at all, which I was relieved to see. I had read other reviews first and knew to not apply it to my underarms. I don't think this lasts very long thought. You have to keep reapplying at least every other day, but all in all it is not bad. I don't think it is the best out there, but certainly not the worst.
