I love Dove products because they are gentle and often do what they claim to do, but this is not the case for this particular product. This shampoo is the first Dove product that I was disappointed with. It did not do what it claimed it would do. In fact, it did the opposite of what it was suppose to do. Effectiveness This product cleaned my hair as well as any shampoo, but it didn't give any volume to my fine hair which is the point of the product in the first place. If I needed a shampoo to just clean my hair then I would buy this product again, but I will not be using this product for the volume that it claims to give. This product was too heavy for my fine hair. Scent The scent of this shampoo is pleasant and not overwhelming. There is no distinct scent, but it is more of a perfume smell then a floral smell. There is nothing that would make me return to the store to buy this item just because of the smell.

I have been using this shampoo for about a month now and I can really feel a difference with my hair. Now, I cannot be sure if it really, truly is 100% the shampoo or the fact that I am pregnant, but the shampoo is definitely helping my hair. I also really enjoy the scent of this shampoo. Now, regarding the price; I usually buy Suave shampoo or something else that just washes hair and is cheap, but there was a great sale and a coupon which made this shampoo either inexpensive or free. I must admit that I really am enjoying using the Dove brand of shampoo. So is it worth the price to pay a little more for hair that really does look and feel better? Not right now to me personally. I will continue to stick with looking for really good deals with coupons- so I am not necessarily going to stick with the Dove brand, but I definitely would recommend it to others. So, in conclusion, I really am enjoying this shampoo and would recommend it to others, but I am not a loyal customer yet with our finances being in a tight squeeze as many others are.

I'm a middle aged female and for hereditary reason, my hair always falls flat. It has absolutely no volume!! I have tried all kinds of products to add volume, from shampoo to styling, but at the end of the day, it stills fall really flat. I bought this product because a friend of mine highly recommended it. She said it works wonders to her hair (which always looks so great and volumous!) so I took her advice and purchase this. My first impression of it is that I like the smell. It has a very clean gentle smell. It feels really smooth as I lather it. i let my hair air dry. I notice a lot less flyaway/frizz but the hair at the top of my head is still rather flat. I tried running my fingers through the hair and trying to ruffle it so manually increase the volume. The hair stays volumous without the need of addional styling products, which makes me happy because styling products tend to make them fall even flatter at the end of the day due to the added weight. Overall, I notice that the hair is a lot smoother, and it does add some volume, but not that much.

Dove Extra Volume Shampoo works okay but not great.  The bottle touts this product to give "natural body and fullness for fine, thin hair."  Well, I have fine, thin hair, but this shampoo does Not give my hair any noticeable extra volume.  I am always looking for hair products to make my hair look more full.  The shampoo lathers well into suds and it does not have an unpleasant scent -- both pluses in my book.  The bottle claims that it "leaves hair noticeably softer, smoother, and more naturally vibrant."  I did not notice softer, smoother, or more vibrant hair from using Dove Extra Volume Shampoo.  When I wash it out of my hair, my hair does not feel silky.  I do not want a greasy feeling, but I do like my hair to feel soft and silky.  This shampoo does not leave my hair feeling "pretty."  I do, however, feel like it Does leave my hair clean, so at least that part works okay.  Dove Extra Volume Shampoo works okay but not great.

Dove is usually not a product I would buy for my hair. But recently while viisiting a friend I forgot my shampoo. She also has fine hair like mine and tries almost everything with the word volume in it hoping it will pump up her hair. So anyway I tried it.I loved it! It really made my hair full and plump. The first time I also used a conditioner along with mousse afterwards and my hair looked great. The next time I only used the shampoo and no conditioner, but of course the mousse. With a few exceptions it almost looked as good as when I get my hair cut and my stylist knows how to make it look full and pummped with body. So, I now have to say not only do I think of Dove for my body, but also for full bodied hair!

I have super baby fine, thin oily hair. and it usual is a act of god to give my hair life. I Wish i could skip washinmg my hair everyday but if i even attempt that i will look like i have a quart of vavoline on my head. So I tried this just because i have tried every other shampoo that claims it will give my hair the extra volume it needs. It is very light and did not weight my hair down like most of them claim to not do but in the end always does. I really like the scent very fresh smelling not chemically which i have ran into alot of them that do. And who wants to walk around smell like a chemical plant?? I use the Voluming mousse from dove as well and blow dry my hair with a round brush and lift from my roots and it actually holds alot longer then when i used other volumizing shampoos or mousse's. Over all i was very impressed with this product and the fact that it doesn't break the bank.

Dove Extra Volume Shampoo-gives "body" to your hair. This Dove extra volume shampoo is a very good product. I have used other dove shampoos before & this one is definitely one of the best.It smells good & fresh. It makes the hair soft, silky, smooth flowing, adds body & volume to your hair, so it appears to be full, heavy and beautiful mane. Especially for dry, dull , damaged hair this might be good match too. Some other products are specially marked for as such but this could help there too. This Dove extra volume shampoo can be used as a stand alone product- or use hair conditioner to make it much more noticeably soft , silky smooth, I suppose. Because it gives you the volume, a oomph to your hair,It can be used before planning on doing special hairdo's on your hair. I have used for twice a week for several weeks now, it is definitely worth trying. It has moisturizing effect too- so it leaves your hair very good looking,smooth silky looking. You will like the look & feel of your hair too.It is available in many retail stores , it is affordable & I will use it henceforth.I LIKE THIS VERY MUCH BECAUSE IT WORKS VERY WELL.Yes, I would recommend to a friend. I have generally found dove products to be very good quality & this one fits the mould too.

I'm always skeptical when someone says their shampoo gives then so much volume. My hair is usually dry, and with most volumizing shampoos I come away with hair like Peppermint Patty. I was out of town and borrowed some of this shampoo from a business associate. Yeah her hair always llooks like she's done a commercial. Mine, well it looks like a cross between the scarecrow and a brillo pad. The first thing I noticed was that my head actually felt clean. Not a moisturized clean, but a fresh clean. I towel dried my hair, let it sit for awhile and then grabbed the blow dryer. I had a round brush, and thought if all else failed I could just piut it up in a ponytail. I was pleasantly suprised how managable my hair was. It didn't seem dry, and actaully had volume. Who would have guessed? I didn't borrow conditioner, but in retrospect didn't need any. This stuff is good enough for a salon!

i tried so many different kinds of shampoo and hardly recived the results that i was looking for. so a friend told me to try dove products. first i tried the body wash and just so happen i used some in my hair while i was taking a shower and guest what it felt good,so i decided to try the real thing and i brought the shampoo and used it.my hair felt just like my skin soft and managable.i would recomend this shampoo to any and every one who is looking for softness and bounce.i even told my neighbor about it because she told me that my hair looked good all the time and she was having trouble with softness also.after a few weeks of shampooing with dove shampoo she knocked on my door and said how pleased she was and that she would also recommend it to others.i say to any a d every one that if you are looking for something positive,fresh clean and easy to manage try dove as a sample first and i think you will be buying the larger size the next time you shop for a shampoo.also i would like to mention the havenly scent it has.its like washing your hair with a bottle of downy fresh for hair,especially when the wind blows and you smell the cleanliness.

I have very fine hair and it doesn't help that I also color it on a regular basis. I have tried many brands in the past that have promised to boost the volume of my hair, but have never delivered. Since using Dove I have noticed a big change. My hair no longer sits so flat that I can see my scalp and it is much easier to style now. I love this shampoo and it smells awesome.
