I love that this vacuum is so powerful. The suction power is fantastic. I will never own another vacuum that isn't a Dyson! Maneuverability It is just as, or more, convenient than any other brand of vacuum. For hard to reach places I just use the hose with the handy little attachments to clean up dust and dirt. Ease of Maintenance I like that the filters can be pulled out and washed with soap and water. The directions for maintenance are on stickers right on the vacuum. This is handy because I don't have to go dig out the manual and find out how to take it apart to clean it. Suction Performance Awesome, awesome, awesome!! Need I say more? Versatility Very good. Design Love the bagless design and that I don't have to spend money on bags. Durability Have had this for two years and it still works perfectly!

I purchased this vacuum a little over a year ago and am still in love with it. I had high expectations based on the price of the dyson's and was not disappointed. We have a cat and dog and this vacuum handles the dog hair with ease. I would refer this vacuum to anyone.

This is the easiest cleaning experience I have ever had. You know when your vacuuming and you have to go over the same spot over and over again? That just doesnt happen with the dyson. It has the best sucking power of any vacuum I have ever used. I worked as a maid in a few different hotels and they use the cheapest vacuums it takes forever just to do one room. What they dont understand is if the used this model (a less expensive version in the dyson family) it would save time which of course also saves money. In addition to working well on carpet and on rugs this model also works on hardwood, linoleum, and even tile! Cleaning is hard enough why make it harder with an outdated vacuum. They smell funny, they make a mess when you try to empty to inconvenient bags and since it has been out for a while they are so close in cost why would you not make the switch to the Dyson DC15 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum.

I did like this vacuum at first but now I am not a fan. I have to constantly take apart the brush at the bottom to cut out all the hair that gets caught in there and then it won't pick anything up. I would much rather have a vacuum that doesn't give me any more work than I need.

This vacuum has never lost suction and allows me to vacuum my house in a timely manner without having to re-vacuum do to loss of suction as happens with other vacuums. It is very easy to vacuum carpeted stairs with the lift off handle and the extension rod.

Easy to use, easy to maintain, and will probably last for many years. Maneuverability It sits a little high, so I can't get under beds and sofas as much as I like. But the unit is quite light compared to other vacs I've owned. For this reason, I usually slow down when vacuuming to make sure that I've done an adequate job. Ease of Maintenance Really easy to clean and maintain. I've washed the filters and set them to dry for a day, with no problems in performance. I've easily cleaned the canister and cleared the suction path from string, leaves, etc The original brush belt is still going strong. Suction Performance Good to excellent really. When the interior suction path is clear, the suction is very, very good. So good, that I have to stop and clear things away before continuing, or I find them whirling around the dirt canister. When the suction goes down, I know there's a clog, and it's easy to clear that path. Versatility I like that the tools are on-board; they don't fall off and are available when I need them. It's fairly easy to switch from carpet to bare floors with a switch.. it takes seconds really. And the extension hose is pretty long.. when the vac doesn't follow me! Design The extended handle is a problem for me. I've gotten used to it (as opposed to returning the unit), but it's a bother. Using the extension hose is a quite stiff, although the length of the hose is quite long. This vac depends mostly on suction, as opposed to sweeping, to get the job done. I've found that if dirt doesn't go directly under the center of the vac, it doesn't get sucked up. Durability Unlike units by other manufacturers in the past, I haven't had a problem yet with the DC15 and it's going on 3 years. Easy to empty, Easy to clear clogged paths, and no serious maintenance problems. Plus it has a washable filter!

We bought ours 2 years ago and it's like brand new! I have a love/hate relationship with my Dyson, I love how it cleans, but I hate how much dirt is in the bin everytime!! That's how you know it's working.. who knew there was so much dust and dirt on a daily basis? I will never use another vaccuum. This is the deepest reaching suction I have ever seen. My house feels clean, the attachments are also great. After the vents are cleaned, they look brand new! The suction is so powerful, watch it around rug corners or pillow ties or tassels. In two years, we have not had to do anything but plug it in a use it. No belts to tighten or replace, no bag or filter to change or replace. It is a little heavy, but I'll take the heft, if cleans so well. I have two children and a husband that are constantly in and out tracking dirt all around. Now that I have my Dyson, I'm not so overwhelmed when it comes to cleaning, you can see what you clean!!! LOVE IT! Maneuverability Although it doesn't have the ball for super maneuverability, it is easy to use and get around furniture. It is a little heavy, but easy to use. Suction Performance Amazing! Just like the commercial says, doesn't lose suction not even a tiddly bit. The amount of dust in the bin makes it look like I never clean! It makes me feel like I'm really cleaning my house, not just a light dusting, deep clean.

We purchased our first one 8 years ago. Then we were given a Kenmore canister vacuum for Christmas 3 years ago. Note - this first Dyson vacuum was 5 years old. So we gave our Dyson to our daughter and her husband. My husband hated the Kenmore. We finally replaced it with a new Dyson last year. Everybody loves our Dyson! But we'll be keeping this one ourselves. In the 5 years we owned the first one, it NEVER had an issue or breakdown. We used it on wet carpeting after flooding and it never faulted. We cannot imagine there is a better vacuum on the market. We'll only buy Dyson in the future but we will go with a 'ball' model next time. Maneuverability This is not a 'ball' model. The ball would make this perfectly maneuverable. Ease of Maintenance Easy to empty the canister and filters clean easily too. Suction Performance Absolutely excellent! Versatility We use it throughout the house - bare floors, carpeting and area rugs. Design Only the 'ball' models would out-perform. Durability Excellent!

This was my first Dyson purchase. I am satisfied, however I used coupons and discounts to get it at a better price. It has great suction, but sometimes it won't pick up string or something on the floor I think that it should. It comes with 2 attachments (would have liked more) that are easy to use. The hose has so much suction on it that it is a little bit of a challenge getting it to reach in far places. I really like that they have lifetime filters and they are pretty easy to clean. Maneuverability Too large to fit under counters/cabinets, but the hose works well. Ease of Maintenance It is a little hard to remove and replace the rolling brush on the bottom of the unit. Design So much easier to use the hose on this model than on the "ball" model my mother has. Durability I have had this for two years, and so far so good.

This vacuum is a beast! I think it performs very well compared to your average vacuum. It had great suction when I began using this and now (while still really good) it isn't as good as it first was. I cleaned out the bottom tube. Checked the belt. Took string off the roller and it didn't improve it much. That being said it is still awesome. I just can't pick up "dirt from the other side of the world" like I used to be able to. PROS: Extremely easy to use once you figure it out. The first time I emptied the canister it went all over the floor. I didn't realize the trap opened so easily so I didn't make it to the garbage in time! Now that easy trap door is an attribute. It is easy to convert into a stick vacuum. It is brightly colored and nice looking. It makes vacuuming fun, as strange as that sounds! It's easy enough for my 6&7 year old children to use. (Even the attachments) CONS. This is kind of bulky and heavy. Like I said I've had a suction problem. My husband laughs and says, "I thought this is the vacuum that never loses suction." Well... it does. Our suction loss was complete one day. We discovered the tube was clogged with dirt and debris. Otherwise, I love the vacuum! Not to much to complain about.
