I have owned upright vacuums in the best. I bought pricier Dirt Devils and Black and Deckers but none of them worked right. Then I decided to lay down the money and get a Dyson, and I haven't regretted the decision one bit. I went for this design versus the upright because I find it easier to store. The suction on this thing can't be beat! It's super easy to empty and maneuvers around my apartment with no problem. I also love all the little extra attachments it came with. I'm easily able to clean high to reach places and corners with ease. I've owned it a year now and would highly recommend this vacuum.

This vacuum started off as a dream: it performs wonderfully on hardwood / laminate / tile, so good that I no longer have a Swiffer around. Very easy to maneuver, lightweight, should have made vacuuming a breeze. And it did for the beginning... Carpets? Hmmmm... even in the beginning, it did leave a lot to be desired there. It is a lightweight vacuum, and while it performs reasonably well, it is not what I would have expected from the brand name or the money that I paid for it... Routine maintenance is easy: clean the filters (reusable) once per month (with usual Virginia weather, expect them to take a couple of days to dry), and use a seam ripper to clean hair / threads etc from the brush structure. Piece of cake. Fast forward a couple of years, when the turbine head decided it did not want to work at all. I have to admit that Dyson service was fantastic - after 3 minutes on the phone, the representative agreed to send me a new turbine head, free of charge under warranty. The new head arrived within a few days. With nothing to lose, I started taking the old one as much apart as I could in order to figure out what went wrong with it. Turns out, it had a huge clog close to the bottom of the turbine head. Using a wire, I managed to clean it out, and the old turbine head was almost as good as new. However... designwise, this is an accident waiting to happen, and it does compromise suction performance long before you notice that the turbine head is no longer working. Now trying to figure out an easy way to incorporate cleaning that region into a more routine maintenance plan... Maneuverability Love it!!!! Ease of Maintenance Routine maintenance is easy, but clearing clogs does take some serious ingenuity. Suction Performance (as long as there are no partial clogs...) Versatility Questionable performance on carpet. Design Really, there should be an easy way to clean those clogs...

The dyson dc26 city multifloor compact canister is a cleaning miracle, especially for those like me who have a lot of carpet and two very messy kids. A lot of people when they think lightweight, they don't think of great suction. But this vacuum is amazing. First of all it is incredibly light for ease of bringing up and downstairs and all around the house. Of course it also works on tile floors without effort. Dyson is also known for their bag less vacuum which is great especially for portable vacuums. It's handle detaches and fits onto the end of the hose for hard to reach or higher places. It maneuvers extremely well and I love it. I also love the design of course and how it folds away for easy storage. This dyson vacuum is also known for having a HEPA filter which helps effectively remove allergens, making the air cleaner, may be a better choice for someone with asthma or other breathing conditions.

Overall this product does not meet my expectations. There is some sort of issue with one of the cleaning attachments for carpet, we have had to warranty out replacement parts about once per year. Dyson is fairly good about warranty claims. They will send out a replacement part but, if you want the product serviced you have to take it to an authorized dealer and that can turn into a hassle. It picks up big dirt well but, isn't great with pet hair or small crumbs in carpet. The small suction attachment does work well for corners, under couch cushions etc. Ease of Maintenance The filter has to be cleaned really often, it kind of defeats the purpose of a bagless.

For all of the hype this vacuum cleaner gets you would think that they would have worked out more of the bugs,. I had to constantly clear/unclog different sections of the machine, it would clog at one of the many crooks so often I found that it was easier to use a broom and just sweep the floor. It just gave a poor performance I had expected so much more than it had to give, it was a real dissappointment! Maneuverability It will maneuver just about any way that you want to twist or turn it. The head of the cleaner can be positioned also in many different ways. The long neck from the vacuum head to the handle does not do much. But I think that a person would be very pleased with the way that you can move it around. Ease of Maintenance This thing will clog so easily that you will spend about the same amount of time vacuuming as you will unclogging it. I think that it just has so many different twisting and turning parts and the tubing isn't big enough for proper flow of materials through the hose that that is what causes so much of it's problems. Suction Performance It did not have a very strong suction power accompanied with the clogging it just seemed to be a lot more trouble that it was worth. Versatility The only thing versatile about the vacuum is all of the ways, places, and things that will clog it up, I spent too much time working on the vacuum while I was trying to clean-up that I just gave up! Design I think that this product was not tested very well before it was put on the market, it just has too many problems and the main trouble is the clogging and next would be the lack of suction ability. Durability I just seems to me that it breaks down to easily, and does not live up to what it advertise it will do.

This vacuum is small and can be stored easily. It is bag less and light with strong suction and convenient tools that store on the handle. It works well on bare floors and carpet, but it shines in places where it's light weight is beneficial like stairs, upholstery and under furniture. Perfect for a small home and a great vacuum for when one does not want to set up a larger machine. Recommended for those with back issues due to its light weight. Maneuverability Small and light weight with efficient and handy tools. Ease of Maintenance The bag less bin is clear and should be empties when reaches fill line and two filters need to be rinsed monthly. Suction Performance Best on dust, dirt and pet hair, some difficulties with larger items like cereal, vacuum must be over the large pieces. Versatility The beater bar is on the small side and would take additional time to vacuum large carpeted areas. It cleans well but is time consuming on large areas. Design Easy to set up and carry up stair and other tight spots. Durability Well made and easy maintenance of empting the bin and rinsing filters.

Does just fine for a small house. It's a little interesting to maneuver at times, but it gets the job done well. Maneuverability This vacuum can go wherever you want it to go, even in small spaces. The cord is not very long though, and I find myself frequently looking behind me to pull the vacuum along, making sure I don't hit the walls and still have enough cord space to vacuum where I need to. It's nice that it is fairly lightweight (although not super light) so that I can carry it wherever I need to in the house. Ease of Maintenance Just fine. Easy to do. Suction Performance The suction seems sufficient but I would like to see it a little better. Versatility There are 2 vacuum heads to switch out - one for hardwood floors and one for carpets - and they are pretty easy to change quickly. Design Again, it's a great product for small spaces, but it is really designed for just that. The vacuum head is small and it would take FOREVER to vacuum a large house using it. It's just fine for my house, a house of 1350 square feet. Durability It's a solid brand and seems like it will hold up for quite some time.

This model has all of the great qualities of Dyson in a smaller more compact size. Perfect for apartments or smaller homes. Versatility the main floor in my house has carpeting and wood flooring, and it was so easy to change attachments when I finished the carpeted areas to vacuum the wood floors
