Great little vacuum and is sure makes those little messes easy to clean up. Maneuverability This little hand held vacuum is easy to store, easy to use, and does a great job. Ease of Maintenance The attachments are versatile and easy to use. Suction Performance I have to admit that I was surprised at how much suction this little hand held vacuum had. It works great to do a small clean up or even those bigger ones can be done with the way this little machine works. Versatility This vacuum was a gift and quite honestly wondered what am I going to do with another vacuum but now I wonder how I would get by without this little guy. I love being able to just whip it together and how it will do those bigger messes . I find it works just as well as its big brother. Storage could be a challenge as it does come apart and has tools. I have a small plastic tub in the garage and store it in that. Design The Dyson DC31 Handheld Vacuum doesn't take up much space and does a great job. I find it easier to use than the larger canister or uprights and would recommend it as a second vacuum when you don't want to get out the big machine. Durability This little machine is made to last and the overall size makes it so convenient to use and store.

When we purchased our Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner, we also got the hand held one. At first I thought this purchase was "over kill", but I WAS WRONG! Packing peanuts, for example, are no longer a hassle to clean up after -- the handheld makes it a breeze! Getting into corners? The handheld has a crevace tool! Cat hair in the corners of the kitchen -- again, the handheld does EVERYTHING! Suction power of the handheld seems equal to the actual Dyson vacuum cleaner, too!

I own the Dyson DC31 cordless and bagless handlheld vacuum cleaner and use it daily. It is the most powerfull cordless vacuum I have ever seen. It vacuums up dirt and small particles very well. The debris holder is small but easy to dispose the dirt - just push down the lever and dump the dirt directly into the garbage can. The vacuum is held like a gun and has several attachments. I like the long narrow tube best as it concentrates the vacuum force. The two drawbacks to this vacuum are the cost and the run time. The rechargeable battery only lasts about 5 minutes of contiuous use before it runs out of juice. It's enough to clean your car's interior. It is also the most expensive cordless vacuum on the market.

This is a very very powerful handheld vacuum cleaner for inside and outside the home. I initially bought this vacuum to be used in the car. I corded vacuum is simply not convenient. Since I store it in th ehouse, eventually this vacuum becomes a very convenient day to day vacuum. It is so much easier to use than to hook up the central vacuum in the house. Advantanges: 1. Very powerful for a handheld indeed. 2. two modes: the regular and a boost. The regular power usually suffice without any problems. 3. The bagless system means that there is no disposable parts to replace on a regular basis 4. The washable filter also means that all parts a durable without the need for contant replacmenet Disadvantages: 1. Battery life is short, for a total of 6 minutes of operation! This is good for a small suck, but if you have more than a 6 min worth of vacuuming to do, this will not cut it. To rechage it takes hours! 2. price. I bought mine from ebay. It's cheap where this goes, but still veyr very expensive

First off, this dyson handheld vacuum feels great in your hand and is not too heavy. This vacuum has really strong suction for a handheld vacuum but does not last very long on a full charge. You get a few minutes on the highest setting and a couple extra on the low setting if you use it continuously. Although if you use it in quick bursts, it  can last quite a while. This is perfect for a quick clean for the carpet in your room or in the car, which is exactly what I use it for. The design is nice to look at and you really don't lose suction until the battery is depleted, so it really lives up to its claims. It charges fairly quickly, a full charge will take about 2 hours. The canister is also very easy to empty and clean out. It comes with a few attachments which makes it versatile. One of the attachments has a brush which makes it easier to capture dust and lint. Unless you really needed a portable vacuum, I would rather invest in a full sized vacuum because it is expensive.

We received the Dyson DC31 handheld for a gift. It has been the one gift I have been thankful for every time I use it--and I sue it a lot.    I will get right into its pros and cons. **Pros** - **Easy to hold--not heavy** - **Consistant "sucking" power** - **Easy to empty and clean** - **Narrow angled attachment is easy to get into small spots--think between the couch cushions ** - **Does not hold smells like some vacuums do.** - ****Nice looking**** **Cons** - **The battery life--if I could, I would only have docked it one-half star bringing this product up to 4 1/2 stars. The battery life just isn't as long as I think it should be, but really---a pretty minor issue.** Again, this has been so useful for me! If you are thinking about this brand for your hand held, don't hesitate.  **** ****

Wow is the only word I can think of to describe this handy little machine.  My sister in law bought this for us last year at Christmas.  What a great gift.  It should be labeled as one of those gifts that you didn't think you needed til you got it and now you don't know what you did without it.  We have a cat and this little machine has no problem sucking up the cat hair both on our hardwood floors and on our carpets.  We keep ours plugged in all the time and use it anytime we accidently spill something (dry item) on the floor or just for a quick pickup of sand off the floor (we live in Florida).  It is extremely powerful and I have no problems holding it by the handle and getting to those hard to reach places.  I can use it about 8 minutes on a full charge which doesn't seem like much, but has always been plenty of time for those quick pickups.  It is very easy to take apart and dump the container of dirt.  I give this an 10 out of 10 possible as I haven't found anything that I would change.  Great Product.
