I have had this vacuum for several years now and it continues to serve me well. I have primarily used it in the apartments I have lived in which have primarily consisted to solid surface flooring, so I don't know how well it holds up to heavy use on carpeting. But the bare floor setting has worked great for hard wood and laminate, and the carpet setting works great for my large area rug and bedroom floor. Both of these carpet surfaces are low profile. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum for anything with a lot of texture - If I try to use it on my plusher bathroom rugs for example, the vacuum sucks it up in a second, and I have to turn it off to release it. The unit came with several attachments for different surfaces and getting into smaller crevices. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to use. It has pretty good suction and a HEPA filter that supposedly captures 99% of pollutants. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I recently replaced our upright bagless vacuum with the electrolux canister vacuum. The canister vacuum is so much easier to use than any other upright vacuum cleaner. Our home has hardwood, carpet, and tile floors. This vacuum cleans all of them without any problem thanks to the foot control options of hi and lo at the head of the vacuum. The attachments that come with this vacuum are great too. The suction is so powerful, it picks up every little spec of dirt. The reason we decided to go with the electrolux brand is because I grew up with one. My parents purchased an electrolux canister in 1985 and it is still working, talk about durable and long lasting!! This vacuum is well worth the money, it does a wonderful job and it is actually fun to use!

We have horribly outdated carpet in our home, we have shag in the bedrooms and a two-texture carpet in the living room and hallway, and on top of that we have a cat and a dog...  This vacuum can actually clean up all the hair!  It gets all the hair out of the shag and off the other carpet.  It's carpet heigh adjustment actually works!  Our last vacuum wouldn't adjust high enough for the shag and couldn't handle the other carpet because it wasn't all the same, this vacuum does everything!  It comes with attachments, it has a pet hair turbo brush which is amazing on furniture!  It has the other normal attachments too.  It does bare floors amazingly!  It can clean everything in your house easily.  And best of all, it's quiet!  I can vacuum while my baby sleeps!  It's a canister vacuum so it's not going to lose suction for a loooong time!  All the filters are removable and not very expensive.  The bags are also well priced and they have different options, we got an anti-allergen one and so far I haven't been stuffed up after vacuuming which is amazing.  I used to be sneezy after every time and now it's like magic.  This vacuum is amazing!  You need to have one in your home!

I received my Electrolux EL7020A as a wedding gift from my parents. It was not what I originally had wanted in a vacuum as I thought the upright vacuums were better. None the less I've had this vacuum for 3 years and have not had any issues with it which is awesome in my book. It's great at picking up cat liter and getting into tight corners. I love the attachments that came with it and use them all the time. It can be challenging to find bags as this was a very popular model and everyone is always buying the stores out of bags. The last time I needed to buy bags, which was about 8 months ago I stocked up on a few boxes so I didn't have to search next time. The bags hold quite a bit in them for being a canister vacuum and my husband has allergies and this vacuum has the filters in it which help keep the dust and pollen down when I'm vacuuming. This is an awesome vacuum and very well built. I would recommend this to anyone.

I clean houses for a living, so I probably will be reviewing alot of items along those lines.  This particular vacuum is definitely not my favorite.  I'm not a fan of canister vacuums anyway, but this one gives me extra hassle. It's heavy to carry or even pull around the house. Everytime I use it,  the red light for s-bag comes on, and I haven't figured out why.  I check to make sure it's not full, and make sure that it's positioned correctly inside the canister, and that the lid closes completely, but the light never ceases to come on. I don't think it's causing any damage using it while the red light is on, but it can be a little annoying.  A fuse blew out on it one time when I was just trying to adjust the handle!  Also I don't like the fact of the prongs for the vacuum attachment, it seems to me that they might break off or get worn, I guess I'll deal with that when the time comes.  The onboard attachments don't stay attached.  After one year, I've given up picking them up when they fall off while I vacuum.  Which makes just two more attachments to worry about lugging around to use when I need them.  Also while the vacuum attachment has low clearance, it is too wide to really get underneath most things like side tables which defeats the purpose.  Overall I don't plan on ever buying one of these, and will not recommend to anyone.  There are alot better vacuums out there that have better suction and not so much hassle.

My Electrolux Oxygen 3  vacumn does a great job on the pet hair from two dogs and a cat. The powerful suction gets the hair off of both the wall to wall carpet and  the furniture. I much prefer the bag to a bagless vacumn; it is much cleaner to empty.  So far [about 1 year] there have been no quality problems thou, I understand, the product is now made in China, not Europe.  The controls are well positioned and easy to use. Hopefully I will be using this Electrox for many more years.

I've has this vacuum for a couple of years now and some of the parts have broken. The suction is great on this vacuum but the handle and wand have broke and the rotating rug brush has broke too. I have always had an electrolux since I was a kid, but thet don't make them like they use too. I f you have an old canister vacuum stick with it and have it maintained instead of up dating it, that's what should have done.

We got this when we got married as a shower gift. It lasted less than one year. The piece that attaches to the hose cracked and it cost almost 200 to replace. We decided that it was not worth the money seeing how the vacuum is about 350. We would not recommend this to anyone. It worked well the first month or so then it lost suction and we tried cleaning it out and nothing helped. I really feel like it was a waste of money. I only use it once or twice a week so it should have held up much longer than that. If you are debating this vacuum please do not buy it.. it is so not worth the money. you are better off spending a little more and getting a better quality vacuum. I also feel that the parts were way too much for a vacuum that didn't cost that much. I do have so say that changing the bag was easy but they did fill up fast and were on the expensive side. I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone.

Definitely not old Electrolux quality that we expected. Power head broken, I have had to replace plastic extension tubes, metal prongs to connect power head to hose broken and, like other reviewer, burnt out. Suction is weak now. Disappointment. I will go with another brand.

I purchased this vacuum cleaner about three years ago.   I've had to replace the wands on six occasions and have also had to replace the hose.  The wands have the electrical prongs in them to make the power nozzle work.  They have broken off, one time causing smoke to come out.  The hose is plastic and just tore in half.  My last electrolux lasted 20 years without a problem.  This is an absolute joke.
