The Electrolux Slide In Gas Range is a cooks dream range!

5

This range is a dream come true for me. I am the type of person who loves to cook. I don't just cook because it has to be done. I cook because I enjoy it. I put love into every meal that I prepare. This range makes cooking even more enjoyable. It is a beautiful range as far as looks go and the function is like that of a professional stove. Temperature Control The temperature control of this range is spot on. It can change temperatures at the drop of a hat. No time in between to go from temp to temp. Heat Distribution The heat distribution is perfect. On the range itself the heating of the pans and/or pots is completely even. And as for the oven the heat distribution is perfect there as well. I have no complaints at all with this. Durability This range is made with daily use and abuse in mind. It doesn't need to be handled gently. You can get down to cooking without worrying about damaging the finish or any other parts of the range. Design I love the design of this range. I think it's a beautiful sight. It has a rich look that adds beauty to any kitchen. Ease of Cleaning This range practically cleans itself. Just wipe up any spills or splatters on the cook top. The oven does most of the work itself.

Not built to last

We spent a pretty penny on this range and it only lasted us 6 months. It stopped working after cleaning it for the second or third time. It looks nice but has too many features to ever figure out. I had my manual in closest cabinet nearby at all times. I like a lot of features but this range almost had too many. I wouldn't recommend the Electrolux Slide-In Gas Range because it does not seem built to last.

Electrolux 30 inch Slide In Range works well in my kitchen

**Electrolux 30 inch Slide In Range is a wonderful addition to my kitchen.  Previous to this I had the least expensive stove available so this stove was a huge upgrade.  The touchscree is great a bit difficult to figure out but once you do it's good.  The scary part is when the electronic touchscreen gives way will I be done with the oven part of my stove?  YIKES!!**

Too many circut boards

A lovely looking range with what seem like great features. Ball bearing racks, full top grate, super low burner. DON,T BUY ONE. If you must - you MUST get the extended warranty, This thing has been completely replaced 2x This is our 3rd range and it has had sticky burner controls, defective electronics and now again a "code" that will require more replacement cards. When you need a new electronic component - it,s an all day affair. The entire range must be dismantled. This thing needs a good class action law suit.

Don't buy without an extended warranty

1

If you are going to buy an electrolux product, I would highly suggest you get an extended warranty.  This product is by far the worst I have every owned. I bought the dual fuel July/09, and in 15 months I have had 5 repairs.  The F10 error seems to say, "pound sand" as the only way to clear the non-stop beeping is to either unplug the unit, or go out to your breaker box and kill the power.  Each time the oven is repaired the tech states  "this should fix it", but only to call him back in 3 months for the same error.  They have replaced 5 different parts in 15 months.  They said if it happens again, they will replace the unit, but noooo, there out here again to try another part.  DONT BUY ELECTROLUX!

I love it!

I've only had it for 2 months but as of this date I love, love it.  The only thing I agree with the negative is the tough pad is hard to keep clean.  This stove does things I just can't imagine.  Very user friendly and looks great too.  So far, everything works perfect.

Our Electrolux range stopped working within two months!

I thought we were buying a semi-upscale and you would think reliable product.  Not so! In less than two months the touch pad control panel went out taking with it the cooktop and the oven.  Because Electrolux customer service and their "recommended" service provider are so slow and at times incompetent in diagnosing the problem and/or sending the correct replacement part it has been SIX WEEKS without a range.  As a point of contrast, our GE's (the ones that we replaced) went EIGHT YEARS without a service call!  Here's the one word review of the Electrolux: AVOID!

Lovin my oven!!

I have the Electrolux electrolux slide-in range  for about 8 months now.   It took a bit to get use to the wave controls, and like the other reviewer, I too referred to manual.  They give you a cheat sheet that you can keep handy.  But now I am a pro and the oven is even making me a cook.  I have not had any  problems/issues with it.  It does everything.  It is even a slow cooker - which i have used.  I haven't made a Perfect Turkery yet but I will.  Love the 2nd oven, usually use it for dinner rolls or if I need to keep something warm.  Love the look of it.  Its a great oven.

sleek

I am cooking much more often and actually enjoying it now with my Electrolux electric range.  This is the EASIEST oven and stove top to clean.  People joke when they see this appliance and ask if it does everything itself.  There does seem to be a button for everything and it has a very space age, sleek look.  Learning it does appear a bit daunting at first -- that is probably the only downfall.  I did have to get out my manual several times to remember how to do things.  Once you get the hang of the "wave touch" control, though, it is quite fun.  I especially love the 2nd cooking drawer, although i use it most often as a warming drawer... very convenient!

Jury still out if I like it

After we completed a total home remodel, we really worked on our kitchen and I wanted a slide-in range. I saw the new Electrolux 30" slide in convection range and just had to have that new and something different range.  I was swayed by the commercials, I must say, but those featured the electric appliances, not the gas.  Well, the range is in and while its cool looking, I am not so sure why I paid all this money for it.  It takes a good 20 minutes to boil a pot of water, the preheat in the oven takes forever if I don't put the rapid preheat on, and the griddle pan provided is the worst thing I have ever encountered.  The thing just will not clean, I have washed it by hand (as recommended), soaked it overnight then washed it, after one use, it looks like its been through 2 world wars and I am embarrassed to keep on the cooktop.  The stainless top seems to be a dust collector, I have to clean it every few hours it seems, and I cannot easily fit two pots/pans on each side when cooking.  Its a 4-burner, but it seems that I can only use one burner on each side at a time.  The oven itself works awesome though, to the minute on baking and cooking.  The holidays will really show how this oven performs.  If I had the chance to do this again, I would have paid the extra money and purchased a Viking or something else.
