When I reached a "certain age" I started to have issues with falling and staying asleep.  This also could have something to do with me suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.  Fibromyalgia is a pain disorder but most people do not know that people who suffer from Fibromyalgia have chronic insomnia.  And, if you cannot sleep, you will feel even more all over body aches and pain during the day. I started out using prescription sleep medication which works okay, until you develop a resistance to it and need something more.  I didn't want to use more prescription sleep medication, so I turned to the internet to find the best natural sleep aid that really works.  I was already taking the Revitalization Formula from Enzymatic Therapy, so I decided to look for a sleep formula from the same maker.  On endfatigue.com, the website created by Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, I found Revitalizing Sleep Formula.  Dr. Teitelbaum created this formula with CFS and FMS patients in mind.   The formula's main ingredient is Valerian.  Valerian promotes relaxation, and for a busy mom who works full time, I really struggle with "list making" in my head that keeps me awake at bedtime.  Also, I work a call center job and it can be stressful.  I find that the Valerian in the sleep formula even helps alleviate daytime stress!  And this really helps maintain my energy level all day.  Some other ingredients in the sleep formula are Passionflower, L-Theanine, Hops Flower Extract, Wild Lettuce and Jamaica Dogwood Root Extract.   I really like this product and recommend it for anyone struggling with sleep and daytime stress/anxiety.  First, check with your doctor before taking it (don't want to have a negative reaction in case it doesn't play well with your other meds).  The best thing about this product is that it doesn't leave me feeling groggy in the morning.  Now I take 1/2 the amount of prescription sleep aid because Revitalizing Sleep Formula is so effective.  It feels great to wake up feeling rested and have energy to tackle my busy day!
