I generally like or love most of Walmart's Equate line of products. This is one I am honestly on the fence about. I mainly purchased it for my daughter who has a very mild case of eczema but all of us have used it. on the packaging it said in comparison to another product that I was quite familiar with so I think part of my mild disappointment was due to me expecting for it to be comparable to what it claimed. It's texture wasn't as stiff as I wanted it to be and it seemed a bit watery rather than light and creamy in overall appearance. It seemed to go on smooth and disappear quickly, it was extremely easy to rub in and didn't leave any greasy residue behind on my hands. I also noticed a change in my daughter's skin problems. Her skin seemed healthier and more hydrated than before she began using it. I was satisfied with that. I wasn't satisfied with it's blandness for me though. There's no scent at all. It seems entirely undetectable. I prefer a thicker more whipped texture with a stronger scent. One of the best qualities about the Equate brand dry skin cream is its price when compared to similar name-brand products. From my experience, it works every bit as good at helping control outbreaks of dry, itch skin. It is safe and gently to use on little ones and is even gentle enough to dab on a tissue and use around my eyes. As an allergy-prone individual, this is very important to me. Effectiveness It really does a great job year-round at softening and soothing dry skin, though I especially like it in the winter months when the dry air is especially brutal. Its formula is non greasy and absorbs very easily. I like the way it leaves my skin feeling very much. Ease of Application I have no complaints as to the "ease of application" with this product. It is a nice, thick cream that smooths out easily and blends into my skin quite well. Scent The aroma is light and fresh, really quite pleasant to the senses all around. it is non-offensive to those in my family with breathing related allergies as well. In my household, this is: win=win. (That's a feat hard to accomplish!)

This lotion works quite well, and it is cheaper than the name-brand alternatives. Combining its effectiveness with its low price leads me to recommend this product. Effectiveness This lotion does help relieve dry skin. I live in the desert of Utah, and dry skin can be a constant irritation and problem. But this lotion works quite well at relieving dry skin except in the most extreme cases. Ease of Application This lotion does rub into the skin quite easily, although it can sometimes leave a little bit of a greasy feeling on the skin, particularly if it is somewhat humid outside. Scent This lotion is unscented, which I find pleasant and appealing. Often scented lotions have a strong and overpowering smell that is unpleasant. But this one has a light, smooth scent that is pleasant without overpowering. Also, scented lotions can sometimes irritate the skin. But this unscented lotion has never given me an allergic reaction or irritating skin reaction.

When I tried Equate Dry Skin Cream for the very time I was very skeptical. I have tried so many different lotions and creams that stated they were for dry skin and none of them worked!!! I have very sensitive skin it is very prone to breaking out and itching that is why Ihave to have something that is fragrance free. Well I felt like I had inherited a diamond or gold mine when I started using this equate cream because it did not irratate my skin at all and one other very large factor in my purchasing the equate brand was my finances were considerably less since I had retired and I just couldn't afford expensive brand names anymore. I would recommend this cream to anyone with dry sensitive skin I really and truly feel this is the best on the market
