This product was tried by 2 adults neither of which found any promoted benefit whatsoever. Additionally, there are way too many unnecessary ingredients, including food dies, which make the product unhealthy if used frequently. In fact, many such products actually prolong a cold's duration. Best advice? Stay away from this product.

I hate when I have to go to the store and try to find new medicine because I have gotten sick, there is so many different things to choose from and there is always different options that you can take. There are a lot of different medicines that are made for daytime use and a lot more than are for nighttime use and I have always found it hard to know which ones are best and which ones will work the best together. The equate brand was the perfect solution for me. First it is a generic off brand so that means gigantic savings compared to the name brands, and the store brand is just as good. This combines two medicines for you in one easy pack. Not only do you have the daytime medication, you get a nighttime medication with it and they work perfectly together. This works great on all cold and flu symptoms and helps relieve my congestion and also gets rid of my cough fast. This is a great combination of medications in one package so that you could get to feeling better a lot faster.

I like being able to purchase Equate Non-Drowsy Daytime/Nitetime Cold & Flu Multi-Symptom Relief because it combines two different medications into one package, and costs less than the price of buying the medications separately. I like being able to purchase both kinds because a cold or flu rarely lasts more than twenty four hours, which means there are a few wake cycles and a few sleep cycles included in the sick duration. I do not like using the daytime medicine at nighttime because congestion makes it difficult for me to sleep, and I need a little bit of help getting there. During the daytime, however, I obviously cannot use the nighttime medication because it would make me too drowsy to drive, work, take care of my child, and other daily activities. Overall, this is a great bargain - it works decently, and it has a fair price. Congestion Relief These two medications rank about the same for each of the factors below - they have the same influence over my cold, only one makes me sleepy and the other does not. There is a decent amount of congestion relief from this medication. Chest Congestion Relief The chest congestion relief only occurs because the nasal congestion is being cleared up and no longer goes down the throat and into the lungs. Relief of Aches & Pains There is a little bit of tylenol in these medications that help give some pain relief, but it is very little.

I am going to give this product an eight overall. Last winter I got the worst round of flu I've ever had. It was all I could do to get out of bed to go to the restroom. I had to have help showering. I felt like I was hit by a bus and barely alive, on top of puking fever sweats diarrhea etc. It was just awful and lasted almost two whole weeks. I gave a friend some money and they brought me back equate day and night flu relief. I took it gladly and noticed some relief in about thirty minutes. I did not feel healed by any means but I felt somewhat alive again. I had my fever reduced and felt kinda awake with the daytime medicine. The night time one knocks me out so I could get nice night of sleep and I was so grateful for it. I'm sure it helped reduce my fever and other symptoms as well but I was asleep so I didn't notice. I also liked that I didn't wake up and have to take another pack to go back to sleep. I did not notice a reduction of diarrhea or upset stomach at all. I had to take a different medicine for that. This medicine helped with my aches pains fever and my out-of-it feeling.

The Equate Non-Drowsy Daytime/Nitetime Cold & Flu Multi-Symptom Relief, is a fantastic product. It works amazing just like DayQuil and NyQuil do. The only thing I do not like about it is that there is not a cough suppressant. You would need to take other medication for a cough if you wanted it to go away. The night time cold and flu relief works great, knocks me out cold. The daytime cold and flue relief works great too, keeps me alert and takes away that sluggish feeling and aches and pains that come with a cold. Congestion Relief I can always breathe once I use this medication. Chest Congestion Relief It does help break up mucus in the lungs, but it could work better. Relief of Aches & Pains Excellent pain reliever for a flu's modern body ache. Cough Suppression There is NOTHING this medication will do about your cough, if you do not take my word for it, ask anyone else you know. I am sure they have the awful experience of waking up not being able to breathe the next morning.

I always use this when I have a cold. It provide no symptom relief and does not help my sour throat. I end up also having to take pain medicine. It also does not help my stuffy or runny nose. It just gives you the opposite. My nose is stuffed up, I take this now there is snot running out my nose. Gross right? I can't even take the night time. It makes me very paranoid and panicked. I must have a very negative reaction to this medicine. I'm not sure if it is listed as one of the side effects. I did like that it costs less, but it is not worth it. These are also hard to swallow because they are too big. You are much better off with a box of tissues and some chicken soup. I actually find that allergy medicine helps with any sinus issues.

The dual- packing is a good idea because you have what you need around the clock. They are less expensive than other brands too, making them a good choice if cold or flu has you down. Congestion Relief This is a good product for congestion relief. Sinuses open up completely when I use this product. Chest Congestion Relief There is some relief from chest congestion, but I have used better. Relief of Aches & Pains There is some relief from body aches and pains with this product. Cough Suppression Cough control is okay, but not as good as the relief from using cough syrup.

Equate soft gels for cold and flu symptoms are most definately compatable with Nyquil, Dayquil and Comtrex soft gels for cold and flu. Equate has a combination package with 24 orange daytime softgels, and 16 green night time soft gels. The day time soft gels each have 325 mg of Acetemenophen, which is a pain reliever, 10mg Dextromethoraphn .for coughs and Phenelephrine as a nasal decongestant. The day time formula is non drowsey. The niht time formula has 325mg Acetemenaphen for pain, 15mg Dextromethoraphn for coughs and Doxlamine succinate as an anithistamine for running nose sneezing itcing and watery eyes. The night time formula will possibly make you drowsey. Equate products work just as well as name brands and they cost less. This is a good idea to have the day and night formula's in the same package. This way you don't have a lot of different medications lying around. Just take the orange soft gel during the day when you want to stay alert and the green at night when you need to rest.
