I like the fact that it is light and simple to use, it is not cumbersome and does not have too many functions. Things like that tend to get me confused, it has a control that can be used to the adjust temperature to the desired level. The iron is durable and its cord is strong. It is not a steam iron, so you might have to sprinkle some water on the cloth you are ironing, but it gets the job done and the cloth comes out well ironed because it has a smooth, even surface. It has an attractive design, is affordable and the intructions on the manual are very easy to follow. In all I would say that if you are working on a tight budget, and you need something that will get the job done, then this is a good option. I like its size, it can easily be sqeezed into a travel bag when going on a trip. Its energy consumption is relatively low, all pressing irons consume large amounts of energy but Euro-pro Shark is on the lower end of the energy consumption range. You are getting good returns for your money.

This little iron has it's place, but it is not heavy usage. Performance This iron performs well provided you are just using it to touch up iron a garment or two. It will not do well if it is used for prolonged periods of time, especially if it's at high heat the whole time doing cottons. Safety The auto shut off makes this a very safe iron. There is of course inherent risks associated with ironing, but I did not see anything about the iron that would pose a mechanical safety hazard. Ease of Cleaning Pretty easy to clean, I just wipe it down and put a little vinegar in it and let all the steam bleed out to clean any mineral deposits from the inside. It's kind of smelly and time consuming but very effective if you don't always have distilled water available. Ease of Use Very easy to use. Durability This is not a durable iron by any means it should not be purchased for the purpose of ironing a entire loads of wrinkly clothes or doing lots of sewing/crafting ironing. This is one of the irons we have in guest rooms at the inn. In my opinion, that is the best use for this kind of iron, very light usage. Design Would be a great design if it was more durable.

Euro-Pro Shark GI465 Iron with Auto Shut-off is a nice iron. To me it felt kind of bulky though. The bulkiness made it difficult to iron corners and such but it did do a nice job. It seems like it gets hotter than a lot of other irons because even on the lowest setting it almost seems too hot for more delicate fabrics. I bought this because it was a medium priced iron and I thought that it be just as good as the more expensive ones. It didn't seem to hold a lot of water for steaming and the steam button gets stuck quite a bit. I iron a lot so the steam button getting stuck was really a hassle and that is why I only use this for my backup iron. It was too good to get rid of but too frustrating to use every day when the steam button would get stuck. Quality wise I think this iron lacks quality compared to other irons in the same price range. I just have to be careful with the temperature settings when I do use it.

This is not a very good iron. The design is very poor and I had such high expectations for this device. The problem with this iron is that the material used for the sole plate sticks to the clothes after prolonged use. It does not glide through smoothly, instead the plate will stick like glue to your clothes. Furthermore, sometimes the iron does leak. It makes it very difficult for you to get the job done properly. The is not a great amount of heat released and for cotton based garments, it does not get rid of the wrinkles well. After constantly gliding over the particular area that I want smoothed, I find that it is still crinkled. Furthermore, there is not a way to control the spray itself, so overall, I feel that this is a very poorly designed device. Safety It does auto shut off if you do not use this device. But you can't use it again if you want to glide through your clothes. You have to unplug and re plug the device to reset everything.

The iron works ok, but like so many irons, when you add water to steam, the water pours our quickly, soaking the item, and then its all gone. The iron goes from hot to safety while I'm using it, so I have to unplug and replug it as I'm using it. Also, the buttons fell off. Performance The steam function doesn't work well, the water just pours all over the first garment, soaking it, and then there's no water left after a minute. Safety Too safe, switches to the safety setting while I'm still ironing, cooling off the iron. Ease of Cleaning The actual ironing is fine if you're only doing 1 garment and don't want to steam it. Ease of Use I got used to its peculiarities, but needing to unplug and replug it to maintain heat is a pain. Durability The buttons for steam fell off. Design Design is fine.
