Late Again!
This is the second time I've had the last flight out of DTW to GRB or ATW delayed with no explanation. Last night, it got bumped from 9:45 to 10:30 to 11:30 to 1:30...and no one at Delta counters had a clue...no information...no help. The help desk people vacated the place...apparently to avoid confrontation with a crowd of angry travelers. On top of the three hour wait, the Detroit Airport basically closed...no food, no drink, nothing. And the final response: "We apologize." Come on really? A business associate said to me: "If I ran my business like these people, I'd be out of business." But not the airlines...they've trained their customers to expect terrible service and be grateful when something actually goes right. So now I can say,I travel Delta...the least painful option to fly...that's their true value proposition.
