When my coffee percolator was new, it made coffee quickly and piping hot. I just love the pure coffee adrenaline from a good cup of perked coffee. After a few months, the pot stopped getting hot. It is almost like it got tired. I am so disappointed because the coffee is wonderful and I find myself just microwaving the brew even though it is just warm. I keep replacing this pot, having the same problem each time, as it makes the best coffee! Durability It just does not make hot coffee

My husband and I are huge coffee fans but have different tastes when it comes to how our coffee is brewed. My mother prefers using her Farberware Percolator which is as old as I am and still makes a great tasting cup of coffee. We received a Farberware 4-6 Cup Percolator as a housewarming gift a few years back. I had never owned one but was familiar with my moms growing up. After making coffee a few times I figured out how to make some of the best coffee in it. In my opinion a percolator makes some of the strongest coffee so I'm always careful never to overfill the basket with grinds. I make sure to clean it with soap and water right after I use it so coffee doesn't stain or build up inside. After about 2 years I had to replace the cord, which wasn't a huge deal but I think since Farberware is being built in China the quality of product has went down because my moms Farberware Percolator is over 20 years old and she has had no problems with hers. Today I may break out the percolator every now and then, especially if the husband requests it, or if I'm in the mood for strong coffee, it has the potential to make one of the best tasting cups of coffee I have ever had.

We use the major brands, what's on sale, and still guests ask how we make such great coffee. The secret is the Farberware 4-6 Cup Percolater coffee pot. The larger Farberware Percolater makes good coffee, but the this smaller one makes a better, hotter, brewed cup of coffee. Buy it, you'll love it. Brew Performance It brews piping hot coffee in just a few minutes. We also use a 4 cup paper filter, made for other coffee pots, in the basket that holds the coffee to reduce grounds falling through the basket. Ease of Cleaning It is stainless steal, but to get the inside clean, we use a product called DipIt. You only have to do this occasionly. Ease of Use Nothing to program, put cold water in to your desired fill line, add desired amount of coffee in basket, plug in, and in minutes you'll have outstanding coffee. Design It's a coffee pot. Durability Our Farberware Coffee Pot is used several times throughout the day and last on about 6 to 7 years. That's a lot of coffee.

After several standard coffee makers broke on me, I decided to try a percolator. I've had mine for a while and I find it works well and quickly makes good coffee. Cleaning is easy and it seems durable. I feel like there is less to go wrong with such a simple device as this.

This pot is very good if you are preparing coffee for not more than one or two people, because it only yields 3 large mugs. I use mine to make my weekend morning coffee. It makes enough for me and my husband. One drawback is, if we both want seconds, we have to make a second pot. I recommend against using this pot to make a very fine espresso grind. You will end up with a murky pot of coffee as the grounds will clog up the holes in the coffee chamber. I. I bought this model to replace stove top percolater pot of which I finally burned the handle off. The handle on this farberware stays cool. I will probably buy a second pot for the office to replace my automatic drip coffee maker, plus this unit is small enough to fit on my desk. Brew Performance Surprisingly fast perk. Ease of Cleaning Shines up with steel wool, but do not imerse in water. Ease of Use The chamber is small, fill it using a spoon. We bought this little Faberware for travel... Nothing beats the "freshly brewed" taste on the go! It is very durable. We have had it awhile and used it a lot. Great proportion for one to three people.. Will buy again! I wouldn't expect anything less from Faberware!

This is a small (4-6 cup) coffee pot but it's the perfect size for one or two people. And this makes coffee in the blink of an eye. Easy to use, takes up a small space on the counter top, and is easy to clean. And did i mention it makes coffee super fast? ! One of the best coffee pots I've ever owned. Brew Performance Fast, quick and tastes great. Ease of Cleaning I rinse it out immediately so it usually doesn't require being washed out often. The basket washes up nicely too. Ease of Use Couldn't be easier. Fill with water to mark, put basket in and add coffee grounds, plug in and watch it perk. Design I like the way this one looks on my counter. Nice round design. Durability I've used the same one for about 15 years now. Works just like it did when it was new.

I LOVE my little Farberware 4-6 cup FCP240 percolator! It's perfect for my household of one! This Farberware FCP240 makes great tasting coffee in a hurry! One full pot perks enough coffee for three mugs! This Farberware percolator has a very modern streamlined look with it's stainless steel body and bakelite type black handles and base. This percolator's inner basket, spreader and pump tube are also heavy quality stainless. This is definitely an appliance that is made to last. And, it looks nice enough to leave out on the kitchen counter or bar. I use my Farberware FCP240 several times every day. I highly recommend this fine little electric percolator. This Farberware percolator is not only fabulous for home use, it's size and portability make it great for RV camping! If you love your coffee and want it in a hurry, this Farberware percolator is definitely an appliance to consider. The only caveat is that this Farberware FCP240 can be a little pricey, so be sure to shop around for the best deal.

I purchased a new 2-4 cup faberware percolator after many years and many drip machines.  I used one for about 5 years and gave it away when I moved.  Big mistake!  I loved that little pot.  I went through many different brands of drips machines after that including ones that ground the beans and had overnight timers.  Finally I went and got another Faberware percolator.  The coffee tastes so much better in it.  It brews from two to four cups which fills one or two big mugs.  It is very fast, just as fast as a drip pot.  It is easy to clean and empty. Sometimes you have to scrub the basket and lid to get the residue off.  It uses regular ground coffee.  It is a fantastic little machine.  It is great for two people but a little small if you need three cups.  The only problem I found is that the plug to the machine does not make a great connection.  I tried taking it back and getting a new one but it had the same problem.  You have to wiggle it to get it to make a connection to the pot. It usually starts perking within a few seconds so if you don't hear it going you know it is not connected.  I usually just unplug it from the wall and leave it plugged in to the pot so I can avoid this problem.  (My old one did not have this problem).  I still wouldn't trade it for any other machine. Faberware makes a great percolator.

My husband and I received this Farberware percolator as a gift for Christmas one year. I was not sure if we would actually like it like a normal coffee pot or not. But it has been so useful and it is the only coffee pot we have now. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and does not require a paper coffee filter. I would recommend wetting the filter before you put your coffee grinds in, this helps keep the coffee from falling through. However, very few grains will fall through either way. The steps to making a great pot of coffee are as follows. Put the desired amount of water into the percolator, spoon your coffee into the filter, put the filter and it's holder into the pot, close the top, and plug it in. Wow, so easy and it's ready in NO time at all. When you hear the steam stop coming out of the pot then your coffee is ready. I love that this coffee maker as well because it is stainless steel. Just make sure you clean the pot as soon as it's cooled and you are done drinking the coffee. Helps keep it cleaner and the stains down.
