When I purchased this toy for my fifteen month old daughter, I honestly thought she would have shown interest in it right away.  It has everything she loves, bright lights, animal noises, it spins and she could even jump around on it.  However to my suprise she showed little to no interest in the toys after the first five minutes.  I though Hmmmm, maybe if I turn the TV adapter on she will become a bit more intrigued.  Once again it only took five minutes of the singing characters for her to lose interest.  Dont get me wrong, she will sit and jump up and down on the hours for a few mintues maybe spins in a couple of circles but nothing like what the commercials and advertising hype suggested. The toys has a great concept and seems provide a learning experice for the child.  But it did not keep my daughter entertained for very long nor did she enjoy it as much as I though she would have.  My suggestions would have to be; create a TV adapter that has more options and engages the child more. Nice Try, but i think this toy is a miss.

We have the fisher price bounce and spin pony.  It was given to my younger son for his first birthday.  He likes the music it plays, how it lights up, and loves to bounce on it.  He has not figured out how to make it spin around yet.  IThe pony is very cute,  but my son  will only use for two  to four minutes at a time, a couple times a week if I am lucky.  It seems to just sit there most days.  This toy is also very bulky, the base is wide.  It does not fold up in anyway.  It seems durable however as my five year old has bounced on it a couple times and it still works great.  It does seem to be  good on batteries... or atleast for how little my son uses it.  The bottom line is that the fisher price bounce and spin pony just doesn't seem worth the money to me. When money can be tight now adays,  I think it is better spent elswhere.  My sons will spend an hours playing with geo trax trains.

Fisher Price Bounce and Spin Pony (well, mine is a zebra but its really the same - isn't it?...) is cute, with flashy lights and colors and music, and my grandkids play on theirs for a grand total of about 30 minutes per month. They don't get much use out of it til over 24 months old because it's too hard to use for lighter, shorter babies - except: my 13 month old granddaughter enjoys it very much. She loves giving grandma heart attacks and laughs when I yelp and come running to get her, since she is part monkey or trick rider or something, and she not only stands up on the saddle but also lets go with her hands. And if she falls, she will hit the plastic stand - could be worse, but it's still worrisome. Other than her, the most interest the two 3 yr olds (boy and girl - cousins) show in it is when one gets it and the other wants it for no other reason except that the other one has it.   Can't say anything about the price since I didn't purchase it, my daughter did (she and the 3yr old boy n 1 yr old girl live with me for the time being - so i must also mention my son's kids, who do not live with me, a 3 yr old girl and 6 yr old boy).   Mostly, it sits in the corner of my toy room and causes problems (kids fighting over it, baby torturing grandma on it) and takes up space.

Okay does anyone's child really play with this thing? I thought oh yes it has music and learning with animated characters, my son will love this.  Boy was I surprised on Christmas morning (and everyday since) when my son gave it a few shakes, a few bounces and walk away to the next toy. After about three days of my very active toddler ignorning this thing I decided to investigate.  yes I got on it myself.  First off The pony seems to be a little to hard to bounce for a toddler, secondly, if you don't bounce the animals don't do anything except rtemind you to bounce. The music was nice, however it really didn't enagage my 21 month old.  He didn't even really care too much about the music.  It says that it is a growing toy; meaning that it has three stages -  I tried all three and nothing.  Bounce and Spin Pony sat in my family room for 4 months before I decided to take it up to his room.  the only playing that my son ever did with this thing was to feed the pony. I don't know, I would definately really weigh all the options before purchasing this "learning toy."

The Fisher Price Bounce and Spin Pony is a decent toy. Although it does have some flaws to it, my daughter has a great time getting on the pony and bouncing up and down. She quickly learned how to get on and off by herself at under 1 year old. She does have a great time bouncing up and down, but when she was younger, she wasn't tall enough to reach her feet to the base to push off. I know it says the age recommendation is 1+ but she has always been tall and physically advanced, so we gave it a shot. Since she was taller than most 1 year olds, she should have been able to reach easily, so I assume most 1 year old will have this same issue. Instead, she would rock the pony back and forth, although it isn't made to do this so it didn't move much. Now that she is a bit taller, she bounces better. I have noticed that it is hard even for me to push up and down and it squeaks a lot, like it is catching on the post. Hopefully this is just isolated to our pony. She hasn't figured how to spin it around yet, so hopefully that feature will keep her entertained as she gets older. We tried hooking it up to the TV but she didn't have the patience to watch the TV, and I don't honestly care for her to be sitting in front of the TV anyways. Even if it would have worked, the picture was pixelated and blurry since we have a larger TV. Luckily, she plays enough with this toy without the TV, that I don't find the TV feature to be a deal breaker. Although she does play with it often, it is only for a few minutes at a time - although I'm sure she'd play with it more if it bounced easier. My problems with this toy, is that it is rather large and hard to put away, so it sits in the corner of the room. I'm a clutter fanatic, so this does bother me a bit. Also, if it is left in play mode, it will go off so easily and at the worst moments, like when my daughter is napping, or when the cat walks by it in the middle of the night.

This toy seems great when you see it on TV but actually it really is not. The age group list on the toy if I remember correctly is 18 months to 36 months. I think that is far too young. At 18 months my daughter who is in the 75the percentile for her heighth was too short for the toy so her feet did not touch the ground...that meant that my husband and I had to bounce it for her which is not easy. Also it squeaks when it bounces..annoying! Then you hook it up to the TV so when the child bounces it activates the pictures to move. The pictures are very generic! With all the technology we have and video games that are life like they could have done much better! There are buttons on the back of the handle to change screens my daughter just kept hitting these as many toddlers love to change buttons so the screen just kept changing and she never got to play the "game" properly. Also the educational content is very little. This is not a toy I would suggest to buy it is now used as a door stop to prop open my daugher's bedroom door, she touches it on a rare occasion.

As part of the first birthday toy avalanche bestowed upon my daughter, she received the Fisher Price Bounce and Spin Pony.  She used it as a 1 year old just to bounce up and down on it.  We never even hooked it up to our TV.  Well, it takes up a bit of precious floor space in our tiny house, so it ended up in the basement toy room.  And we admittedly forgot about it.  My nephew got the same toy, and my daughter (who is now almost 3), LOVED playing with it using the TV hookup.  It's a physical toy: the bouncy horse.  But it's also a learning toy.  It hooks up to your TV and has many games that even the littlest kid can play.  It covers basics like letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc.  We need to find room to bring her horse back up! (And baby sis is almost 1, so she could probably start using it too!) Fun AND learning, Fisher Price seems to be on a roll with these learning toys lately.  I'm not grooming them for Harvard quite yet, but if they can learn that learning IS fun, that's a great head start! :)

My son recieved this toy for his first birthday he is now almost 3 and still has never found much fun in playing with this item for more than a few moments. The graphics are not great and at each of the 3 levels there is nothing to do that will hold a childs attention in fact the tv part of this toy is really pointless and hard for the little ones to understand. He did enjoy bouncing around on it , but for the price I paid for this toy back in 2008 I could have got something much more fun and way more cute. The horse itself is some horrible primary colors and looks way out of place in the nursery. Also the groves on the bottom surface collect dirt, dust, and food and it is impossible to remove which drives me crazy. I would not suggest spending your money on this item we love Fisher Price and have never had a complaint with anything we have purchased of theirs, but this one was just an all around bad deal.

My son recieved the Fisher Price Bounce and Spin pony for his first birthday. He was excited and I was happy for the idea that I could finally have something to grab his attention for a bit. When it finally came time to put the toy/game thingy together, I found it to be pretty easy. Even my son helped. Once it was finished, my son loved it. On the pony itself has 3 settings. One to turn the pony off, One to turn the pony on so it makes noises and another to use the pony with the tv. I did have my son try to use the pony with th tv, but at age one, he really didnt care for it. He just liked to bounce and make noise. The graphics on the tv for the pony games are very simple and kinda  boring. I got sick of looking at it. It really doesnt grab your attention and is verly plain. So When my son turned 2, I figured I would try again for the tv/game for the pony. He liked it at first. He liked playing the game where he can make the pony jump. But after 3 minutes of it, it got boring. I tried having him play other games on it and he just lost intrest. The Fisher Price Bounce and Spin Pony is a good thought, but it isnt worth the money. With so many other toys for my son to choose from, this toy didnt make it. Right now its sitting collecting dust until I can pass it off on to another parent.

After going back and forth in my mind over whether to buy this for my daughter or not, I ultimately decided to do so. Boy, was that a mistake! For a toddler toy that is pretty expensive, I was highly disappointed. We have had this for a year and a half now and I believe she has used it twice hooked up to the television and bounced on it alone a handul of other times. She does not play with it at all. I know that this is meant for a toddler and they are not that advanced yet, but the game was super slow and super boring and repetitive. It did not hold her attention for more than a minute or so. We got this for her when she was 18 months old and the "video game" she would not even attempt at that age. Now at 3 she can use it, but chooses not to. I would not recommend this toy to any parent. I thought at first that maybe it was just my daughter and this toy was not her thing, but other kids here have never tried it and my younger daughter shows no interest either.
