I got this swing for a shower gift for my first daughter two years ago.  My first daughter loved it and I have a picture of her the first time is figured out how to pull the butterfly to make the music start.  Now my second daugther loves it (she is 5 months).  The negatives are batteries and it doesn't fold up.

Flutterbye swing was a great gift for us.  My daughter loved it from the first day home from the hospital.  She loved that the swing could go back and fourth or side to side.   She could be crying one way and we would switch it and there would be no more crying.  At times this was the only place where she would take a nap, besides my arms, so I needed it to get anything done.  Great price, cheaper then the papasan and aqaurium swings.  Does the same thing.  Cute music and bird mobile.

As a mother of five children ages 4-24 and foster parent, I can say that this is one of the better swings on the market.  Gone are the swings that crank and wake up a sleeping baby, the swings with mechanisms overhead and always knock the poor little one's head getting in and out.  This is an open-top swing that draws little ones into bliss!  It is easy to get baby in and out, the lights and music are mesmerizing for sure, the seat easily reclines while baby sits in it, fairly stable for infants, little try and straps help hold baby into place securely.  I appreciate the volume control - sometimes I prefer just baby enjoy the cutesie music and not the entire family!  As with any swing, babies need to be closely monitored!!!  I notice when baby lean forwards, it does alter the center of gravity and can slow the swing down a little.  Oh, and take stock in batteries.  This swing takes two size batteries, but in my opinion, I would prefer to buy batteries for the hours of enjoyment baby receives!

I bought this swing for my dd in 2005 and she loved it, it's funny that someone said it was "a life saver" cause that is the perfects words for it!  There was plenty to entertain her with, she loved the music, the lights and the bird looked like it was flying! She loved it, it folded up very easy to be able to take along.  I found it at target some say it is hard to find but if u can find it I highly recommend this swing!!  Did not have a issue with batteries, for as much that goes on and I used it faithfully! Just buy rechargeables. LOVE IT!!!!

I love this swing! I bought it for the pattern after reading the great reviews it received. I did notice that my daughter had to have good head control in order to use this swing as I didn't feel that it reclined enough for her to use it safely or comfortably. My daughter was entranced by the pattern and toys, and this was my go to place for her when I needed to get something done. This swing is very durable as I saved it from one child to the next, and it kept working like a charm. I did have to replace the batteries in it quite frequently, but no more than anything else that gets used constantly. I loved the music that it played and didn't find it annoying or overbearing at all. It folds up and is easy to store, but takes up alot of space when opened and in use. Fisher-Price did great when they made this swing. I was sad when I got rid of it after my children outgrew it. Great swing at a great price!

I had this swing on my registry and got it as a gift.  I liked the variable speed swinging, the music, and the lights.  I also had one of the cradle swings, but my baby liked this one better.  It was easy to get him in and out of the swing without hitting his head because the toy bar swings away. Like probably all swings, it did eat up the batteries if I used it a lot.  If I had to do it over again I think I would get a swing that I could plug in.  That would save me the time of unscrewing the stupid battery compartment and having to replace those large bulky batteries.  Also, the lights and music were controlled by different batteries than the swing motor.  That meant having another set of a different sized battery ready to go. The multiple recline positions are really pretty worthless in my opinion.  If you want something that reclines a lot, get a cradle swing. Great swing for the price, nice and bright colors that work for either sex child, but it eats up the batteries.  I would recommend, but with that in mind.

As parents, you often want the best for your baby. (At least for your first!) You must have the best diapers, clothing, crib - and of course, no nursery is complete without the best swing! I found the Fisher Price Flutterbye Dreams Swing to be a lifesaver! He enjoyed relaxing in the swing, sometimes feel asleep in it. He also was stimulated by the toys attached to it, and loved to watch the little blue bird. The music was very calming as well. Like all baby swings, it is big and takes up alot of room, but can be easily moved from room to room. It does require batteries, and you might find yourself changing them often. It is very colorful and has a creative appearance. It makes a great gift! If you are searching for a good quality baby swing, this is the one to get! My daughter enjoy talking to the birdie. My daughter would making all kinds of noises. My daughter love swinging in this swing, while taking her daily naps. This was the only swing I could put my daughter in and walk away. When I came back she would still be happy. This swing is a great helper to any parent. It can be easily stored. The flutterbye swing, just folds up.

Both of my kids have used the Fisher Price Flutterbye Baby Swing and loved it!It was the only place they would let me lay them down to sleep.  The sound has two levels so  it is very peaceful in the house. The swing also swings quietier than any other swing my kids have used.  We have had this for over three years and it still works like new. The batteries last for as long as you need them to. We have had these in it for 9 months and they still work great. The bird and other characters on the toy bar keep my baby distracted and he has fun trying to reach and grab them.  I haven't had a single problem with this swing and if I was to buy another one would go with the same type. I guess if I did have my son before my daughter I would have gotten one that was more boyish but this was a hand me down and it has worked wonders keeping them both enterained and relaxed enough to take naps in it while I am getting things done.

My son was very colicky as a baby and never wanted to be out of my arms.  I registered for this item during pregnancy and when I finally set it up it was one of the only things that kept him happy outside of my arms.  he loved the swinging and the music and also loved to look at all the colorful bugs and butterflies.  In exactly 2 cycles he'd be sleeping and he'd stay that way for a good amount of time! This is a great product but I wish it would have plugged into the wall because we went through a lot of batteries.
