Great product

I purchased the Frigidaire 30" Gas Range 3 years back when I was in my old house and I just loved to cook food on it. The design and look of this oven was quite classy and elegant. The product was installed very smoothly and it was easy to clean the gas range. The product was quite heavy to be carried by one person and this was the reason I kept it in one corner of the kitchen so that I did not require it to be moved again. It is solid and it managed to cook mostly all vegetables and with the help of the user manual, I was able to understand and study the controls of the gas range quite fast. The features of this product included an oven rack, functions like quick preheat which helped to cook food within 6 minutes and auto shut-off which automatically shut down the product after 6 hours. It was very fast in boiling water as well as it has a feature called quick boil. It was easy to prepare pizzas and chicken nuggets as well. The product is durable as well but I replaced the product when I shifted from my old house.

Serves it's purpose

Very pleased with this range. The only thing I don't like, but modern technology wouldn't allow otherwise, it the electronic ignition for the gas range. Drats! I love to cook on gas. It cooks more even and faster. Instant on and instant off. Most commercial cooks and chefs cook with gas. Temperature Control When the range was received I tested it and it worked just fine and 6 months later it still heats perfectly. Heat Distribution I have found, but it is common in most ovens, that the center is always the hottest whether gas or electric. I haven't figured it out yet. Probably some scientific formula that is out there but I don't know it and I have been a cafe owner and avid cook for many years. Durability I hope it will be the last one I have to buy for my household in my lifetime. It appears to be very rugged and durable. Design It is your typical, plain Jane four burner gas range. I do like the fact that the knobs are on the front face rather than on the top since they would always get grease splatters in them when I was cooking. Now less grease gets in them. Ease of Cleaning I didn't purchase the self-cleaning feature as I really don't think it works that great anyhow. You still have to pre-clean and then wipe out. If you clean your oven regularly it isn't that big of a deal to clean with ease. I always wipe my stove top down after each use. I have found that Clorox wipes work great for extra greasy things and also for cleaning my overhead exhaust hood.

Good choice

I have had this for a while now and can't say I have had too many complaints about it. The oven works great when I make pies, cakes, meats , etc. I do consider it a little slower than other gas ranges as the water takes a bit more slower to boil or pasta a little longer to cook, but if you're not in a rush and expecting something to be boiled super fast, this is a great buy. I have recently survived a major hurricane and was able to use this gas range to boil water and soup while we had no electricity so I'm glad my family chose a gas range over an electric one. Cleaning it is very easy. I usually use a paper towel for the top and a sponge to clean the oven when needed.

So so Stove

This is not a stove I would pick out but it does its job. Here are the things I like about it: the simpleness, no bells and whistles to complicate things. Here are the things I dislike about it: when you turn on the pilot, it will make a noise that lights the range up. I guess that is a safety feature that tells you that it is working so you don't leave a flameless light on. I don't know if this is because it is an old stove, but once you turn it off, you have to wait til it cools down I think before you can turn the flame on that particular range on again, which I find odd. The other complaint is the baking time on this stove. It seems to be weak and when I follow times off of the cooking box it takes at least another half hour so I don't think the oven works very well. If I had my choice, this would not be my first stove I would buy at the stores. I think there are better ones available.

A great buy

Having never cooked on a gas range before I was nervous to begin with. This init is very user-friendly. It's straightforward design makes cooking with gas a breeze. Temperature Control Simple, straight-forward controls make this unit easy to use even for beginners. Heat Distribution Unlike a lot of ranges I'd heard about, this unit is very good about evenly distributing heat. I've never had issues with "hot spots". Durability Very durable. I cook with mine almost daily, often multiple items and several hours at a time. Design Once again it's very user-friendly in the design. Ease of Cleaning This is the only area I have trouble with. If you don't clean up spills around the stove burners as soon as you can, they can be quite difficult to scrub up. I will spray Clorox clean-up on there and allow to soak for a while. Depending on the type and age of the mess it can still be difficult to clean right around the burners.
